Skyline Supposedly Involved In Robbery This Morning...
MickP replied to CRoNic...'s topic in South Australia
I live in Paralowie -
VN Commodore - thats a bit stereotypical there lol Its always the case, people look for blame, when they find something the media jumps on it to sell more papers and get higher ratings, then politicians jump on the wagon for better PR. Public sheep mentality. Maybe if they introduced "safe driving awareness" in schools they could teach kids prior to getting P's, whats safe and not. They have home economics, and you learn not to burn yourself - crap analogy I know But since driving is pretty much an every day part of life, you would think that more attention would be introduced into learning road rules and safety on the road.
-
I dont know if that would be the case. What happened in other states, did they have to sell there rides?? Imagine though if they past these "laws" and you drove around with P plates on your "performance" vehicle, the police would be on your ass for sure. Even if you owned the car prior to the changes. I wonder how they decide, what is performance or not... an aftermarket exhaust??

Another Crash Due To Other Drivers Lack Of Due Care
MickP replied to Mowbuss's topic in South Australia
The news agencies guess at best. I love the way they instantly hooked on to "High Performance". Every Skyline driver should be able to sue for discrimination ha ha "Believe nothing. No matter where you read it, or who said it, even if I have said it, unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense." ~ Buddha Obviously this doesn't apply to everything, but you get the idea Hope the kids are OK anyways. -
If blowing highlights is unavoidable, say there is a lot of glare from lots of cloud, meter of the ground, then point and shoot. Id rather have a blown sky than a pitch black point of interest. Try out HDR, you shoot 3 frames at different exposures (normal, under and over exposed), then combine them in post. Really nice results for stationary objects or land/city scapes. Some photogs use more than 3 frames or try to fake HDR by adjusting one images exposer in post. Just use 3 frames = best result Here's some info on HDR: http://www.luminous-landscape.com/tutorials/hdr.shtml http://www.cambridgeincolour.com/tutorials...namic-range.htm Check out Photomatrix - they have a free trial on there: http://www.hdrsoft.com/index.html Cheers
