Mad, thats a great explanation, thanks. Can someone explain what kind of extension to use between the coilpack and spark plug to hook a timing light up to? Just any kind of wire with 3 prongs, or something more sophisticated?

Adjusting R34 Factory Turbo Timer

It could be inbuilt into the alarm that Chris has...... I know the mongoose ones can have a turbo timer activated. And if he can't find any actual unit to adjust the amount of time, or on/off, I'd say it would be the alarm. I'd find out what alarm you have and find instructions on how to adjust it. -
It could simply be the manual boost controller... I think they don't hold boost well in the upper rev range. Have a search here on SAU, it's well documented. You kind of have to weigh up the pros and cons - $30 for a controller that holds pretty well, or $500 for an EBC. I'm happy with the turbotech manual controller hahaha. And if I didn't understand the problem properly, I apologise

Isn't stock timing 15 degress BTDC? Means you're about 3 marks off where you should be, I think. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, I'm trying to learn about timing at the moment.

Seriously screw all that purging shit. Just eat, and f**king enjoy it. I've been to India 6 times, breaks my heart every time I see the poverty.... really makes you wonder how some of the stupid problems that 'civilised' societys have, came about. On a less serious (but still very serious!) note, does anyone got a timing light I could maaaaaaybe borrow for a couple of days? Or maybe just use in the parking lot of BR sometime?

I had that on the weekend, although mine was somewhat split into 2 x 12 hour deaths, on both saturday and sunday daytime. By night time, it was a miracle! I was alive again! On a side note, I hear it's related to periods of heavy drinking, and can flare up immediately following a cab ride home at 5am.
