  1. Hey guys - baby due any day now. Car has to go to make way for a new family wagon. Have reduced price from AUD $115 to just $95K!! Just had oil changed also. Anyone interested, please call on +64 21 227 4001
  2. Just been reading your thread. For what it's worth, you may like to check out RIPS (Rotorua Import Pro Scene) in New Zealand. http://www.ripsltd.com/ These guys build the sort of GTR's and engines you're looking for and they have a global customer base as a testimont of their abilities. Heaps of info on their site including customer references. Their engines are used heavily in the NZ drag and drift scene and seem to be bullet proof despite years of abuse. Robbie the owner is a good honest guy, a straight shooter and he really knows his stuff when it comes to GTR's and RB engines. If you're still in the market, it'd be worth dropping him a line.
  3. This was a once off - the only time I've ever launched it. 0-100 in under 4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-HIBfsP1Fow
  4. Thanks. For those interested, I took a few clips of my GTR recently. You can check them out here. Enjoy
  5. Thanks mate. Not only is it the rarest of the Nurs, but it's also been tuned by the legendary Mines company in Japan. For me, this just adds to its collectibility. Considering the cost of a new R35, it is a bargin. All the money has been spent so the car is like new. Given its rare and collectable nature, it will likely appreciate over the years and will always appeal to the global car enthusiast market. As you can see in the following link, a tuned GTR (R33 or R34) can still walk a new R35 around the track and my Nur has over 700hp. Cheers Phil
  6. I recently had an Aussie GTR enthusiast who was wanting to buy the Nur look into these costs and he concluded that all up it would be an additional AUD$20k. Also, easy enough to minimise the duty obligations.
  7. This may be of interest. Will walk an R35 and still happily accommodate bubs http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=259634078
  8. Quick link of the engine: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/post-a200442-
  9. Hi Guys, Usual story - baby on the way, need bigger house, toys must go. My Nur is 1 of only 250 ever built. It was purchased brand new by a Kiwi who had it sent directly to Mines from factory for tuning. Including the original cost of the car, it's had NZ$350k spent on it and arguably sports the best of everything. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=259634078 Will be very sorry to see it go. I can be contacted via [email protected] or +64 21 227 4001 Cheers Phil
  10. Mate, Awesome car. I've got a 2002 R34 M Spec Nur GTR tuned from factory by Mines. Puts outs 425KW at all four wheels. Scary fast. It's had over NZ$350k invested into it over the years and has a full Mines VX Titanium exhaust. You can check it out here: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=259634078 Look forward to hearing about your future plans and progress with the Nur. Cheers Phil
  11. Hi Tim, Thanks for the reply. Sounds like you've got a very sweet ride also. I'll have a look at your photos shortly. You raised some interesting points which I wasn't aware of, so I thought I'd try to address them. It's a bummer that you don't have a HKS tuning house in Melbourne (sounds like there would be a market for one). That said though, you don't actually need one for my Nur. You see it's been fully tuned and is equipped with the top of the line HKS F Con V Pro Gold Series ECU. This is a gold box tucked away in the glove box and one of the benefits of this engine management system is that it has the ability to self tune. You simply flick a switch on the gold box and the ECU automatically adjusts the engine's tune based on the defined tuning parameters previously set, along with external factors such as outside air temperature. This self tuning mechanism ensures the car is always optimiumally tuned based on the conditions, i.e. summer vs winter. Therefore no tuning house is required, nor are additional $$$ required to be spent on such exercises. My Nur has two boost modes - low and high. I drive around in low boost 99 % of the time. This operates at 360KW at all four wheels. When you press the button for high boost, you get all 421 KW at all four wheels. The ECU has been set with an 8000 RPM engine limiter. This is to protect the engine and given max torque is delivered before then, you're better off pulling for the next gear, than ringing the lungs out of the engine. As you know, tuned Nurs will quite happily rev to 10,000 RPM. Re the import duty, luxury tax and GST, I'm not aware of what Australia charges to import cars. I realise ithey're additional costs to contend with though. To help out, I'd be prepared to reduce my price to AUD$115k. This would more than cover the cost of shipping the vehicle to Australia and help towards any duties and or taxes payable. Feel free to give me a yell on 0064 21 227 4001 if you'd like to discuss further. Cheers Phil
