I'm getting the timing belt service thingo done on my R34GTT next Tues, I'm having the timing belt, tensioner spring ,tensioner bearings and water pump replaced along with a wanky see through top timing belt cover fitted. I'm planning on a Gates Racing timing belt being fitted. The issue is that I've come across a number of posts where the Gates belt has apparently been noisey as, although many of the topics posts then divert into pulley belts for the aircon , power steer belts etc with no real conclusion at the end of the day. The simple questions are--are Gates Racing timing belts noisey and if so why ? The engine in this car is as quiet as a mouse and I'm not building a noise nuisance into it if I can avoid it. SO THERE !! Any comments or personal experiances to share anyone ?

Utes/tradys--rushing everywhere bumpin into everything--never on time. Station wagons--reps with Friday afternoon / Ferrari wish mentalitys. Mazda 3 drivers-- like friken Dalmation dogs-can't bear to be behind anything. Worst car I had for people blowing me away was a Barina that I bought in a moment of madness there no-one on the friken road no matter what speed I was doing that wouldn't pass -or try to- no matter how dangerous, unneccesary or stupid passing me was. But I've never have a problem particularly with utes.

Thanks for that, most helpfull , I had a quick look on Fleebay but couldn't find Car Sales Pty Ltd I'll have another look, I'm also going to see what shipping costs from the US I cant believe that the US price of an OE pump is US$79.95 and Nissan want AUS$290.00 for the same thing even if postage is AUS$75.00 I'll still be a AUS$100 better off. Just guessin but you could maybe try taking out the filters, running the fan full tilt and spray the Glen 20 in the hole where the filters should be, I'd only be giving it a bit of a hit at a time just in case theres wireing / electricals that might not like getting soaked.

I've come across a few Ebay sellers flogging VL Comode waterpumps as being the same fit as an RB25DET , whats the go ? is the VL pump the same ? The bucks are hugely different from an OE PUMP--- and I also notice that OE waterpumps are hugely cheaper in the US WTF is that about ? Thanks mate I've got a belt on order now but I'm still looking for seals, bearings, spring and waterpump+waterpump gasket if it don't come with one, I'm wanting the waterpump to be genuine as I've heard some aftermarketones can be iffy praps you could help me out with a price on that stuff ? I'm looking at buying a timming belt kit and it has NTN bearings in it and I'm wondering if they are any good , I wouldn't know a good brand outside of say SKF if it hit me in the head so it's not a witch hunt I don't want to buy a potential problem just to save a few bucks, anyone used these or know anything about them ?

hey I'm just seeing if anyone has a timing belt kit that mayhap they haven't used that they want to flog, I'm getting the job done in the next couple of weeks whatever and thought I might save a bob or two and get something thats no use to the seller out of thier way with them making a quid on the way through.

My Email links won't link when I click on them it'll be my computer because its all links that come through to my Email, eg, Ebay links wont work either , it'll be in my settings somewhere I guess , the problem is I don't know what I'm looking to correct/adjust , please can anyone help me out here ?
