  1. would the police say anything about having an extingusher under the drivers seat?
  2. I was thinking of mounting it on the drivers side, but was told that it is not a very good idea if it explodes (not sure how many cases are there of that happeining) I tested reaching the extingusher with the seatbelt on, coz just in case your seatbelt is jammed or something after a crash and you mounted your extingusher too far. I guess i could mount it on the side in the passenger footwell but also but a carboard-cutter knife or something in the center console just in case the seatbelt gets jammed.
  3. i've tried to put the fire extingusher as in pic.3 but it is very hard to reach it from the drivers seat with the seatbelt on, so it is not very likely to be a practical mounting point
  4. Hi everyone. I bought a CAMS approved fire extingusher, so i could enter track days. My plan was to mount it in the passenger footwell, but there is a bump where the exhaust passes making it a tight fit. The car is a 97 Type X 180sx. Here is some pictures of trial fitting. Any suggestions on where I can mount it? Cheers
  5. fixed: [R33SOM]

is that wire the only loose wire in the steering column, was it connected to anything before with the old steering wheel. the airbag light problem could've came up when you remove the old steering wheel if the previuos owner put a resistor in the Airbag plug but it got knocked or pulled out when you removed your old steering wheel. hope that makes sense

i was going to sudgest that as well, but IMO its too much work removing the gauge cluster to remove the globe

if you can fit the s1 steering wheel and the Airbag light is your only problem, you need to find the wires which used to plug into the airbag. Then you just need to buy a resistor from dicksmith or something and just solder it on or plug it into the plug. this should trick the system into thinking that the airbag is still there and should work fine. sorry i can't help with what the resistance is supposed to be, i'm sure someone on here would have done something like this.
  10. i didn't look at the stamp link, but i hope he isn't selling them for $100,000 as well
  11. yeah i know, i was hoping to go 5stud some time soon anyway i wonder what offset those wheels are, wouldn't want them if they require spacers
  12. i think more then just the wheels will be gone, more like half the valueable parts will be gone if he lives it there

    Hey

My parents offered to loan me some money for me to buy a car, but they wanted me to buy a new car and since you cant buy anything good new for under $20k. I wanted an S15, but my parents didn't like that idea, so i decided that i will buy whatever car I want with my own money. Took me over a year of being a tight arse to save up for this car i will stick with the 180 for a couple of years and maybe switch to the dark side for a bit by buying a Turbo Supra or i might stay with Nissans and get a S15

hmmm... front bars are usualy plastic or fibreglass, its not like its going to cut anyone badly sound sike this cop was dead set on defecting your mate for anything even if it makes no sense i see cars that realy should not be on the road all the time, but yet police pick on the modifiers who take care of their cars

    Bp Ultimate

maybe its a government conspiracy to get imports of the road, by starving them of the 98 Ultimate fuel
  18. I used to go fishing to Colac back when it was more then just a puddle, It was good catching eels and big carp there, used to be up all night catching them cause they would bite like crazy durring the night There would be other people there fishing for eels as well and all through the night it will just be the sound of constant reeling of the fish now that it dried up a lot, i haven't been fishing for 2 years or so

Should've probably asked to measure the height on flat ground or ask him to measure the height of his car when it is sitting on the same uneven ground as your car and see if it is legal

    Hey

Thanks I live in North East, so it is possible that you may have seen me, but i only had the car for 2 weeks The RB26DETT conversion will be out of my price range for a while, part time work and full time study does not let me save up enough money, especialy now that i am planing to attend some of the track days
  21. Apparently you can buy replacement tyre placards of the internet, ar just get one made by a vinyl shop and have the sizes changed to your preference
  22. i think what dezz meant was that you could run the width out of your serries, so if you have an R33, you have to keep to the max width that was available, so that would mean R33 GTR size wheels, plus that 15mm rule
  23. I went to one of those wildlife parks once and you could feed the kangaroos and emus with some dry food mix that you could buy there. well once the food finished a kangaroo decide that the bag tastes good as well and took the paper bag off me and was standing there eating it. My cousin took some funny snaps of that kangaroo, but he lives overseas so don't have a pic to post *EDIT* found one pic on his page the equivalent of facebook overseas
  24. i'd say Make: Nissan Model: Skyline Serries: R32/R33/R34 so you can follow form your serries, but technicaly there is no restrictions if you go and get an engeneering certificate for you wheels
  25. huh... I just noticed the same question on NissanSilvia.com did you ask it there as well?
