Hi out there, been hunting in the forums for sometime now and can't seem to find the infromation I'm looking for... Maybe someone who drives the R34GTT can advise. Engine oil : yup 15w-40 Auto Trans: Can't seem to find what type or grade. Rear Diff : Can't seem to be able to find also what type grade and LSD or Non LSD. Any advise out there? Cheers Daniel

Hi one and all again. Quick question. Is the split dump pipe the same for a r34 gtt 4dr and a r33 ?? And is the r34 front pipe the same with the r33 as well? Cheers Daniel
-
Thanks all for the advice. That was what my tot was also that it will make no diff on a stock motor even with just the exhuast and FMIC in place. Rather new to this turbo game (previous car tricked out twin cam civic). Anyways was told by a work mate of mine who claims to drive a skyline before back when he was in the east. That I should have by BOV changed cos of this 2 simple things that I have done. Kind of suspected that he knew also next to SH*T cos he told me my HKS exhuast was useless no power cos it makes no sound (not loud). He said loud exhuast equals power. From there I started to feel that he already know nuts. So that is why I came in here and asked you guys out there proper who are into our type of cars and now much more. Cheers Daniel
-
Everyone thanks so far but I think you are all getting carried away....hehehe. I was saying I'm thinking of fitting a aftermarket non atomspheric BOV. My stock is still holding boost. So iis there adjustment required to be made on the BOV? I have a return flow FMIC and cat back exhuast at the moment. Cheers Daniel
-
Piping comes in and out on the same side.
-
Oh ok! I have the type of FMIC that uses the same path back as the original path. No the type that's like the GTR ones over the radiator fan shroud.
-
Oh forgot to add that I have a plump back FMIC installed as well. So...... Cos very new to this Turboed car thing. Last car was a civic B16 twin cam convert. So any advice would be good.
-
Hi, yup I'm staying plump back but like I was saying stock ecu but with cat back if I change to after market BOV any adjustment to be made on the BOV itself? And how to do it? Cheers Daniel
-
No I'm looking at the plump back ones. Dun wan the farking cops to yellow me for shits. Yes its also a stock ecu, but with cat back HKS hi power exhuast. Cheers Daniel
-
Hi guys would like to know weather after fitting up a after market BOV on a stock motor do i need to do any setting on the BOV itself or no need to? Cheers Daniel

Bride R34 Seat Rails
havoc34 replied to john-e boi's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Hi is this sold? And is it a set of 2 or just the driver side? And is it bottom mount or side mount? Cheers Daniel -
Hi just wondering cos now i'm stump. The power antenna wire as it is said that this wire needs to be cut and connected if not the after market headunit will not work. So after cutting, to where do i have to connect it to? And nother thing isthat mine came with the ""fm expander" and a red (power) wire connected to power the expander, but comes with the 2 pin antenna plug. I know i need to remove this as I'm fitting a pioneer HU. But what about the power antenna wire? After cutting it does it mean I need to join it to any power source or can i join it to the "ign source" from my head unit? Cheers Daniel

R34 Gt-t Sedan Coilovers Help!
havoc34 replied to DRFT31's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Hi m8, just wondering what sort of coilovers are they? And how much are you selling it for? and why? Might be interested for my 34gtt sedan. -
tein coilovers can be rebuilt. Plus rebuilding it I should have just gotten new ones instead right from the start. But why can't people here especially in the forums here be honest and not sell defective or spoilt goods to people especially like parts where it needs to be installed before we can know the full serviceablility of the parts? Just plain old cheaters out there. Bringing the skyline forum to shame.
-
Thanks Gazza and SexycanI. Well naming and shaming may not really help cos there are fellow members out there who think that if you buy my seconds then its your problem to be desperate or cheap. But then again not everyone has got money to go new even if they can afford to own or rive the car. It could be a family car but also a dream car for the family man to drive. Like me the skyline is one of my dream car to own and drive. I'm a family man working and bringing up my young family. Yes when i was younger i upgrade my cars too. So now wif the skyline the performance parts are more expensive so although I like upgrading the parts more for looks sake and feel for the car not soo much racing down the track. For me to go new for a set of coilovers is way over so got myself a seconds but never expected to get ripped by a fellow member from of all thing the skyline forum would have maybe expected this from gumtree or whatever but not skyline forum. Well maybe I'll get in contact with wa suspensions to see what I can do or fork out more again and maybe just live with the knocking for the time being until cash comes handy again.

Hi one and all. Does anyone here know where I can get a tein coilover top hat replacement? Well I bought a set of tein coilover from a member here on july but didn't get it done until yesterday cos had some other things to mind to install and had it installed all yesterday. Was told by the member that the coilovers were good and no knocking or oil leaks and sorts. True that was no leaks but after installation and adjusted when for a drive and found that one of the fronts pairs knock whenever going thru a bump or uneven road surface. Response and rebound from that particular corner is still good no sag or bounciness so the shocks is good but according to my mechanic it most likely thing that is causing the knocking is the top hat. So does anyone out there has got a spoilt/wrecked set of tein coilovers for a ER34 Gtt would not mind parting with it? I would like to get the top hat only if you want to keep the rest like the springs and such. Or anyone knows where I can get my hands on a new tein top hat? Cheers Daniel

Hi one and all. I too am finding it funny with the Dpi department here in WA and the so called traffic police. The traffic police themselves don't even know what the actually yellow sticker the car for. I'm working for a aviation company and deal with electronics servicing of aircraft components. I was stop for doing 83km on a 80km road and he wanted dock me in for speeding. My meter showed i was doing 80 i explain and he told me ok well do you want me to yellow sticker your car for a faulty speedo meter? I was like what the F#$K.? They don't even know what the hell they themselves are doing. What more about jap import cars. I watch the news and read the papers and time after time it the holden commordores, ford falcons that are caught more often then not for Hooning and crashing and killing ppl on the roads! So how the hell did it end up becoming the import car drivers who are they ones who Hoon? 2 years ago a report in the papers in regards to powerful cars on the road and the WA police commisioner interview compared Mitsubishi Evo 8 to a 1979 commordore. And said that the japanese car are more dangerous on the roads on WA. Can you compare a apple to a orange?? I rest my case no more need to be said you make your own decision. So high time we all switch to nothing but Holdens and Fords even if they are crap.

Yellow Fever (restoring R33 And R34 Model Headlights)
havoc34 replied to Chang's topic in Tutorials / DIY / FAQ
Well for starters I did mine the old fashion way called up my mechanic back in Singapore. And he taught my the old way before the polish for this and that came along. 1) Tube of toothpaste 2) Motorised Car polisher if you have 1 if not your arm will do. 3) Apply on headlights and alittle water (like brushing your teeth) 4) You will start seeing the toothpaste (foam) start turning yellow. 5) After you are satisfied wash of with water and have a look if its crystal clear and no more yellow to your standard (if not continue again) Cheap and easy way. I did it it removes all scratches and yellow on the lens and have lasted my now for more than a year no problems. Toothpaste have got sanding effect as they contain microscopic beads to help remove our plague from our teeth. So its sanding power is finer and purer and have no worries about if you sand too much of the coraser sand paper or not leaving us in a limbo when doing it. For toothpaste as its so so so so fine you have no worrys. Try it and you'll see the result and peace of mind when doing this. Cheers -
