  1. Sorry to hear mate, last thing you want when 1 month into a new car is issues like that.....you may want to check your warranty though. If you are still covered by the dealer, then you may have to take it to them for warranty claims. If you go somewhere else and find out its a big job, you may be up for the cost yourself. Good luck, hope its not too much of a problem for you.
  2. I like it, silver with dark bonnet goes well I think. Maybe with a CF boot lid would compliment the bonnet aswell. Good job, I'd do the same
  3. hey lyons, Just to let you know, I have the same issue with my speedo, out by more than 10% the faster the speed, at 110km/h, speedo reads 124km/h. Very frustrating but as you say, not a simple fix, so as far as I know. I had the speedo into an instrument specialist, they had a good look but are unable to do anything with speedo alone stating its controlled by the can-bus and need the whole car to attempt calibrating/fixing it. This issue is with standard wheels. Let me know if you come up with a solution, as will I.
  4. Thanks Mark, did you order yours or was it allready fitted to your car when you got it?
  5. Does the sound come from underbody, if so, could be the exhaust system knocking on start up. Could check the rubber mounts for the system, even if not broken, can stretch after a while giving enough slack to knock the chassis on cold start only.
  6. I'm not sure of the method of fitting it, may be a clip on and if so, clip off in the case of flat battery. I haven't found any details on how it is fitted though.
  7. Has anyone got the key lock delete cover on their drivers door? I have seen someone mention it before. I emailed riverside infiniti a couple of weeks ago but they didnt reply. They finish off the door nicely, anyone purchased one?? If you havent seen before, theyre on the website for riverside(online parts)
  8. Hey Paul, If you dont mind me asking, what was the go with your cruise, is it now installed but not working? do you know what the issue was? I'm seriously considering purchasing this kit and getting it installed, I was going to see Brian but no luck there?
  9. He fcruz3r, The JDM smell you mention may be relieved by changing the in cabin air filter. Alot of guys in the forum have changed this in the V35 as they can get a carbon build up from the smoggy Japanese environment. Its an easy DIY and the filter can be purchased at Nissan dealers for 40-$50. I would too go for the all leather 2003 over the cloth seats in the 2004 your looking at, just my choice, otherwise keep looking, theres bound to be another one pop up with the specs youre after.
  10. thanks for the input muzza, I will have a play and see how I go. My autowatch siren doesnt have a key but Its not a big prob anyway, ill try the ignition on/off a few times and see if it does everytime though.
  11. Hey Paul, Keen to hear the report on your cruise control, is the drive by wire option? when I spoke to Autotainment some time ago they had only done the vacuum kit. I'd like to get this done as my next mod so if you can let me know the details, price e.t.c would be much appreciated. PM if you prefer, thanks mate. I'm guessing your drive back home will be alot more relaxed than drive to Perth with the cruise....
  12. I have a quiet chirp from my alarm siren every time I turn the car ignition on, the siren also has the same noise when I select the silent arm/disarm option from the remote. I thought this was caused by a voltage drop, I have heard this on other cars but installers advise some cars do this and some dont, unknown why? The alarm and car dont miss a beat so not a big problem but if there is a way to fix I would like to do, any ideas appreciated....
  13. Imports have been coming into Aus for 20 years now and some of the new car manufacturers still treat us like we are driving spaceships! In saying that, some dealerships can be very good with parts service for imports but there are many who hardly give us the time of day - very frustrating. Good luck with your trans oil change and brakes, hope all goes well for you, I'm sure it will, the cars are manufactured by the same company so when the mechanics are doing the job it all makes sense.
  14. Looks great, good height without being to low and scraping. $120 is a very fair price for 1-2 hours labour by a mechanic but definately get a wheel alingnment done if not allready.
  15. I've used CLR to successfully remove stubborn stains from my car windows before......
  16. Hey Ogz, Strange for it to happen after some paint work but the window motor's in these do go....have you tried anything to fix? the window up and down on door open/close works in with the door switch, it wasnt disconnected for paint work was it, or not properly re-fitted? Have you put it all the way up, disconnected the battery then reconnected to see if it will reset? Just a few ideas, otherwise could be the motor, dont know too much in this area. Good luck.
  17. Here's me sitting happy all this time as my car had the clear indicators when I bought it. Now this group buy closes and I just noticed my drivers side indicator is smashed, must have picked up a stone or small rock in the last couple of days.....I guess ill be buying a set from somewhere after all....
  18. Speak to Brian Wallis at Autotainment in Burswood 94704233, he has done a fair bit on V35's and is the contact person recommended by Chris Rogers for Perth work.
  19. I have this sound on start up and 1st gear change also. I was checking through g35driver and they put it down to the ABS engaging on start up?? doesnt really sound right but it seems to be very common in v35's...
  20. WA V35 owners have a great cruise, I wish I could make it but just cant pull it off this weekend. Will do my best to make the next one though. Look forward to seeing some pics posted up afterwards...
  21. yeh thats right, the speedo isnt giving a true indication of the speed. After speaking to the instrument tech, I think a speedo corrector device wont work as the speedo is controlled by the vehicle Canbus which the V35's have.
  22. thanks everyone for the input, my car had the factory 18's when I got it and the speedo was out pretty much as it is now. I presume the diff etc is standard as the car appears so. I changed the wheels to 245/40/18 = lower profile from the 45. This made the speed out by probably 1 more km/h. ill have a look at some of the ideas in the links given and see how I go but yeah, up to 14 km/h is frustrating. thanks
  23. Hi all, My V35 has a Nismo 280km/h speedo, with the gps, the speedo is out by between 6 - 14 km/h. I recently removed the speedo and took it to an instument specialist who was unable to do anything with it to calibrate. Anyone have any ideas or experienced this problem? Thanks
  24. My V came with a DVD player from Japan, mounted in the boot connected via RCA'a, it plays DVD's on the OEM screen no probs but I'm looking at a local replacement as the wire harness plug is damaged and the power wire drops out every now and then. The contacts on the rear of the player are loose which appear to have happened due to the location, (velcro to rear boot carpet), I would say it has happended from being moved and twisted to different angles using the boot space for other things e.t.c What make/models DVD player are you all using/recommending? should be a quick fit as the RCA's and wiring is all there. Ill just work on the mounting a bit better.
  25. Cant wait to see the pics when done, may just be all the encouragement I need to get a kit or parts of myself.... good luck with paint/install.
