yeah i cant wait. the trees not close enough to the action to bother decorating? maxima hs a special temporary glue that will stop the confetti floating around..at worse i will just get some rope and have it hanging around the trunk like they do at those shrines to protect the sacred tree spirits. I know it sounds a bit hippy but i have seen it a few times in manga so it has an edge of geeky coolness for me, also i have a friend about to finish at the College if fine arts, he decided he needs some models for his latest project.. Kabuki facepainting! looks something like this sorry for the bare shoulders but i did crop out even worse...anyway it takes about an hour and when i told him about this event he said he was happy to come out and offer facepainting in exchange for for sake etc. I have contacts with some other facepainters who also do it pro bono but they are chinese, similar kind of thing but not exactly 'authentic da neh?' what do you guys think? also he is looking for some volunteers to finish his art thing, isnt paying but its fun for a lark and he will of course provide you with glossy's of your own to blu tack to the inside of your toilet door. COFA is in Paddington which is also where the studio is. Of course for the sake event i would bring him out to us but if anyone wants to help out sooner they need to travel there. PM me for more info. cant think of anything cooler than a bunch of us driving out of there with faces like that..getting pulled over on the way home? priceless. Also making some inroads with a japanese couple who play traditional drums. think the soundtrack to Akira. tell me your not excited? -
i am also curious to see how that would look, some fine photos in here as per usual guys. Waiting from some more HDR bloom stuff from you dan!

yeah it always blows my mind when i see how big the 35 is relative to the 34 etc..its like they come from a planet where everything including the drivers are bigger. also typo in my last post which i cant edit, meant to agree with you about the lowered 33 looking bawwss like. Somehow didnt type 33. WTF me?! anyway found a few more comparos. love this stuff! -

i thought photographers purposely made things wet as it made stuff shinier and cleaner, i know films often have the roads sprayed with water for those reasons. Your right though, the dock location is a little meh. also true re the, does look pretty boss in that pic. as rare as that is -

got it off facebook so unless you can find one using the watermark or tinyeye..sorry each to their own and there are some fit looking eighties cars out there (retro jap thread anyone?) but skyline wise i much prefer the nineties models. Just a personal preference though. right so this one isnt really GTR's but..close enough? -

Omikuji Omikuji are fortune telling paper slips found at many shrines and temples. Randomly drawn, they contain predictions ranging from daikichi ("great good luck") to daikyo ("great bad luck"). By tying the piece of paper around a tree's branch, good fortune will come true or bad fortune can be averted. something like this could work, Juz, any of your Japan society people able to figure out the fortune telling aspect of it? -

New thread for stock tips? Now if only I had a lazy 5 or 10k to invest in stocks.. Yeah Marc I see how I Got that back to front with my rant about minimum wages, more of a typo than a misread but the following story about new Zealand opened my eyes up about economies of scale. Had no idea the difference in pop would have such a huge effect on prices even though all the goods are coming from the same factories.. I still believe in a minimum wage being decent and enough to live ok on though that might have something to do with so many of my jobs up till now being dependent on that. Last thing we want is a tax system like the states, the rich are definitely getting richer while the poor sink even deeper into almost 3rd world conditions. No thanks, not looking forward to our next pm and his dumbo sized ears but I spose they can't do much worse..

Yeah sorry, not sure as I grabbed it from a Facebook group. Let you know if I can find out

Sorry Eric, thread is pretty slow and i figured it was just car or motoring related stuff. it would be tempting to copy pasta the entire top gear series going by my logic lol but will try and stick to the highlights and recent stuff that catches my eye. still havent replied properly to your advice on shooting a 'write the streets' style thing, theres gotta be a make shift way of doing that pull back shot with a crane thing they do while playing the soundtrack to the Danny Boyle movie where they have to re-ignite the sun...would moving back slowly and raising a go/pro on that stick you have look even half as good?
-
yeah thats what im on as a semi skilled public servant for the railways, closed workshop etc but its very average rates compared to proper tradies etc. We are screwed if it ever goes private like Sir bazza is intending.. as for minimum wages being higher in the states resulting in cheaper cars..how the F does that make sense? i know they have economies of scale etc but we are still getting majorly ripped off here. Mostly because people will simply pay up. The internet is slowly eroding that and the government even pulled in Apple and a few others last week to parliament to explain why we are charged so much more fo Ipads etc. still a long way to go though..
