  1. You know what it's like when your missus tells you "The car sounds like it's falling apart, and it's lost power" and I just remembered I'd forgotten to tighten the lower alternator bolt after a fan change, SH!T! Well, the alternator bolt was still there, Phew! so I ripped a wheel off and the outer sway bar link had clean snapped! I'm using one of Whiteline's 24mm adj blade types in an R33 GTSt sedan. They said it's not common, has anyone else had this happen? Does anyone have one spare (or a pair) I could buy? Happy to pay $30 for a pair. Lost power was probably just some heat soak, that is one good thing about winter here; Power! Cheers PS: National Capital Rally on tomorrow - Sat 17th, get out to the Cotter/Uriarra/Brindabella Rd for some dirty action.
  2. The Wheel Factory is long gone, don't know if any tyre places sell them as they may not be legal. I saw some on Just Jap's site the other day, they have bolt ons 15/20/25mm and floating depending on how thick you want. Just be aware they may not be road legal (so paint them matt black or something). Another company stopped selling them a couple of years back for this reason.
  3. Hi, I need an outer sway bar link pin (or two just in case) to suit the front of an R33 GTSt. My D/S broke after fitting an after market adjustable bar. They said it's not a common occurence (naturally) but it has been a couple of years so hoping it was just one of those things. Does anyone have a pair off a front cut they don't need? Happy to t/f you $30 if you can send to me in ACT. Cheers Martin

  6. I have an '93 R33 GTSt and I found Pedders tie rod end length measurements to be a bit out. They initially gave me the PTE926 with 12mm thread but needed the 14mm thread PTE926-14. A great price. Always get a wheel alignment after replacing steering or suspension parts.
  7. They will of course bolt on, which will be great for photos but driving will be another issue. Being GTR wheels, they're deigned to fit under much wider guards and fitting these onto a GTS25t will have them hanging out the guards by at least 10mm meaning guard clearance issues. There may also be issues with the rim width of 9" (not sure), you'd be better off getting something more suitable that won't give you a headache and burn a hole in your pocket at the same time (despite looking awesome!) Maybe check out 350Z or Maxima wheels. Wheel selection won't alter your camber, good luck.
  8. Hi All, I haven't seen any recent info on these and my '93 R33 GTS25t has split a tie rod end boot (@132,000km) so I might as well put a pair of new ones on. My local workshop here in Canberra advised the only ones available were genuine at $155 each; Ouch! Has anyone sourced anything more resonably priced? Where and how much? Thanks in advance for any info. PS: For the driver of a black R32 GTSt who totalled his ride on Tharwa Drive Saturday night by wiping out a bus stop shelter - "No Fist"
  9. As above, if your timing belt hasn't been changed yet, get it done urgently, but not if it has been changed already. When I changed my timing belt I realised that I should've done the Water Pump at the same time as the timing belt needs to be removed to change it. Now at 130,000km the Water Pump needs changing. I'll also be doing the Belt Tensioner, Idler Bearing, Cam Seals and probably the Crank Seal as well. Good Luck
  10. Semi-Synthetic or Full is the go and you won't go wrong with the Motul 4100 Turbolight although I would use the 10W over the 15W, especially in a street driven turbo engine. Check your factory engine requirements. I've been using Penrite HPR10 for over 60,000km and it's fine (RB25DET).
