Agree 100%.....Love my Porsche but it feels not just slow but also dated compared to my R35....

They should be able to do a ECU/BLK Box Dump.....

Maybe more to the point ..........get some proof to show it hasn't been punished first.....then if still interested negotiate as hard as you can...150k sounds good.

Don't know if you boys have had the chance to....had some GT2 Sideways action before electronics corrected ...and that's with Stability Control on Normal. Great in the wet.....just a bummer having to wash it after....

Do a youtube search....their is a 1098 (S I think...) on there......1098 S Kills the R35 on the straights...but braking and cornering the R35 makes ground.......

Yea...They are nice cars....but don't you think that the days of high powered 2WD Cars are numbered....and rear engined ones at that. Just plain fun most of the time but they can catch you out in a heartbeat. (Expensive Heartbeat)

Would also be interested .....as some of the Lotus boys have had an encounter with an R35 there and said they could stick (in the corners) with it ...(with the aid of some traffic..)

My 1098R does a good job on most as well......but nice to have a Car that can still keep with most 600's....

Yep.... and having looked at Porsche performance bits/upgrades........will be a lot cheaper and at the rate of mods hitting the market (like a Virus) many more options will be had. I loved his opening comments.....pointing to the huge price difference between the GT2 and the GTR but it had to be as the 911 Turbo just was not up to the task .... Yea....GT3 would have been a fairer comparison ..(only twice the price of the GTR.... )

+1........The article just did not make good reading as he just did not show us the GTR by giving the reader little details of it's behaviour under different conditions and somehow involve the reader and then point to a conclusion and opinions......(be they good or bad) Just like a school kid going into an exam that didn't do his homework.....He will know little but still have opinions but show little leading to them. PS: Motor Mag June has a GT2 v GTR review where one can almost smell the rubber and feel the G-Forces by reading......

Yea...Better reading then the Herald Sun mini review...... Obviously this guy actually drove the GTR the way it was built to be driven and from the detailed comparison for more then 5 minutes. I now have 4000 k's on my 35 and agree with all said in the article.... Just can't stand it when articles come to conclusions and force opinions in their articles without building towards them with detailed information and facts.........This is why I prefer long term reviews.

Anyone have one....what's a good one to get if one wanted one....

Thinking of importing badly damaged R35 Would anyone be interested in some major bits and pieces......has 500 miles on it and has motor Transmission all untouched....most internals /Drivetrain OK... I know some of the Teams Racing R35's have imported complete Cars for spares.... This can be imported as Parts only never to be registered although a complete Car but badly damaged...right...?

The problem with reviews like his.....is the lack of complete testing...take it to a few tracks then live with the Car for 2-3 weeks using it as a daily driver etc....and then give some detailed information from all this testing and hold-out with opinions to the end........not just vague opinions and comparisons from start to end.... And yes this Car has a Japanese Soul just like My Cayman has a German Soul....... I say....Burn him.....

Thats why we are only going to Burn him.......

I bet he didn't even use a Computer to write the article.........old typewriter he bought from trash & treasure Market...
