  1. RB20 Knock sensors (thanks project32) RB26 Knock sensors Their frequency response is as different as they look. (ie completely different)
  2. Is that auto tune as in closed loop wideband calibration? Bloody mad!!!
  3. The answer to your question is what makes or breaks a screamer pipe. Theres good ones and shit ones too.
  4. What sort of $$$ for the engine combo? Im so surprised that this car hasn't gone yet!! Cheers, Matt
  5. I think the RB25 PFC is a better bet for an RB20 than the GTR model, reason being that the RB20/25 share the same type of knock sensor (resonant) and the RB26 uses a flat response (non resonant) sensor. The RB25 PFC is designed to work with the type of knock sensor that the RB20 has.
  6. carl is correct, For some reason Nissan swapped the injector pins but not the ignition triggers. Looking at the ECU pinouts will show that this is the case.
  7. Chalk me in as a radio whore (flag marshall) again..
  8. Hi guys, a short while back there was a post on using a R33 standard ECU to repair a PFC... Ive searched and searched but I cant find the post, can anyone find it or remember any details as to which chip needs to be replaced? Thanks guys
  9. Paul, I think ben has confused knock sensor sensitivity (say the three times quick) and the knock threshold that triggers the check engine light...
  10. Take it to Jim Souvlaki @ Croydon - he is a PFC guru.
  11. With a knock reading of 139 you would have been able to hear the knock from inside the cabin...
  12. If your injectors are at 98% that means you are at full load - 44 degrees at full load will blow your motor up in no time... If you are on the base tune, then get it tuned ASAP. Full load timing should be about half of what you are seeing.
  13. "it just happens to be in same voltage scale and range." All narrowband sensors have the same ranges, the curve is basically the same. Widebands are different, but narrowbands are all basically the same
  14. Does that imply you are?
  15. Forgot to add that - he also held an OAM for 35 years of voluntary motorsport involvement... The amount of effort and things he did for motorsport over the years was huge.
  16. Link to CAMS article I thought this deserved some publicity - John large was the president of CAMS from 1983 to 1994 and he was instrumental in bringing Group A to Australia, and also for the resricting and subsequent banning of the GT-R's from touring car racing. If you watch footage of Bathurst from 1990-1992, they interviewed him before some of the races. RIP John.
  17. Yep, 600hp's turbo is nowhere near its compressors peak efficiency island yet, theres a lot more come for sure. Hes got the best fabricators and tuners in the business doing the work.. Im sure this car will reach its targets.
  18. Well, I had a top day out there, I never thought that marshalling could be as much fun as it was, turned out to be a blast...
  19. Its easy to bag someone when you have 20/20 hindsight after something has happened.. An old chinese proverb goes soemthing like this:- "Man who is talking, should not interrupt man who is doing.."
  20. Like the chassisear?
  21. While I agree that Dribbletech are crap, I have a problem when people say "they have to be re tuned quarterly...."
  22. Cant helkp you with your specific problem, but I can say the GT-R knock sensors are flat response (non resonant)
  23. The Mafia - sounds like the person at the controls didnt know what they were doing
