thanks man, ill be doing one or two soon, and ill see how it goes, ill post up my experience etc for those interested. btw they say cheaper but its still some $30 odd dollars per car..which is kinda expensive, especially if you just want to check a car before taking a long drive before viewing it or even contacting a person who's selling it.

thanks man, i just checked out (again the veda site) and clicked on the personal link - car history. and it seems to go to carhistory.com.au, guessing that's the one that checks everything in every state the car has been?

didnt want to revive, but its fairly new still.... anyway, im a bit confused now on what to use after reading this :S, im in syd and i want to check the history of a car (currently rego'd in qld) what do i use now? :S also how about if the car is in NSW what do i use then? - will options given give national wide register info or just the state the car is currently in or i am in?

hi guys i have a s2 250gt sedan, stock, and i have few things that concern me, first of the suspension makes creeks and noises when taken over some uneven parts of the road or when they have to compensate for some movement, usually heard on speed humps or crossings, im thinking the suspension might be needing a rebuild or something? secondly, i haven't had the time to check and the brakes and maybe the rotors are uneven and faded so i might need some new ones there, anyone know what the sizes are for pads and rotors (front only)? third is the air bag light keeps flashing, iv heard to take it to Nissan, im in Liverpool area and i don't like attitude of Liverpool Nissan (been there a few times with the old coupe and there a bit dic.ish), is there any Nissan dealerships that fix this problem with the airbag light and also how much would it set me back? that's all, and that's for the view and read

hi guys im looking for a n/a skyline or silvia or 180sx, most pref is a r33 s3 n/a, regardless of model it must be manual, colour doesnt matter only ask that is is stock. mods i dont mind unless there something ridiculous. willing to spend up to 7000-7500 region, show me what you have, if missed in title i am in sydney. thanks.

let me start by saying .. yeah i know its not a skyline, but people on this forum seem very knowledgeable and helpful when it comes to cars so here it goes....its a mk2 golf gti and the story goes like this.... iv started to restore my gti mk2, well the whole idea is to learn more about automobiles as i go along and learn on how to restore cars themselves, anyway to get on with it, i have a golf gti mk2 16v its in pretty decent for what i want to do, no signs of rust so far, panels are straight and so is underneath the car so it doesn't look like its been in any accidents, its been rarely used itself as its been off the roads for about 2 years now and just been lying around by a friend which i purchased the car off. The car does need body work and interior work to be perfect but the main trouble is the transmission and engine... the problem so far.... so far i have taken off the hood, front bumper and lip and front wheel arches to get better access to the engine bay and keep those loose arches from cutting me. the car has loose gear leaver all the way to the transmission so its kinda hard to get in gear..but that's no matter as the car doesn't start atm. it did before even with the bad tranny but obviously wasn't moving anyway just standing in the spot and idling (this was about 6 months ago). anyway today i tried to make the engine kick but nothing happened and it went like this.... turn the key and it struggled to do anything. changed batter and something but still no dice....so..... i changed engine oil etc (serviced the car) just incase it was something missing there, somethings simple stuff might do the trick i thought, anyway it didn't, i checked the spark plug leads and they were pretty dirty and had them cleaned and they seem ok i guess. secondly i check the ends of the leads both to the spark plugs and to the coil pack unit, they were dirty but i cleaned them up and opened the unit up and there wasn't anything wrong about it... after that ordeal i open up the throttle body and gave it a clean, may i thought it was fully blocked or something. so i did that and connect the lot back up again and still same problem. i have posted a video of what happens....any help of what it might be or ideas on what to do would be great!! video link -

Hi, just have a few questions that im curious getting the answer too as i might go down the path of importing the car i want instead of sourcing locally. I have searched but i havent found exactly what im looking for. anyway the questions are; how long can the imported car be unrego'd from date of compliance in Aus, is it as simple as just getting the standard car rego'd when out of rego for 6months - NSW wise. i know that import brokers help source out the car i want from there dealers etc, but say i find a few from a dealer that i have found would the inspect it as well for me? - im guessing here it might depend on the broker, and if so who will and who wont (any recommendations)? also if they do is it or will it be included in their broker fee (the standard figure of 800-1500)? one more for the inspections is there any place that does one-off inspections for a price, how you get stateroads or a workshop to check a car etc and get a full report and plenty of pictures? also iv seen the calculators for costing i know of the import monster one and thats about it, i has a search long ago for more but i cant seem to bloody find them anymore can someone link some to me please? - i think im going blind haha i think thats all for now... any answers and input would be appreciated.

ill sell the midas touch since i got it, and it will add 30-31.1 million hp no support mods needed matter a fact no engine needed either! ...stay away from that sorta crap...people spend $1000 to get 10kw, so just think about it......

hi guys i got a small chip in the front window today and i need to get it fixed before rego time... unlucky that its in a few days time as well...anyway just need to know if anyone knows places that would fix it other than O'Brien, just want to contact other available options and get some quotes.

mate do some research before you buy anything, otherwise you might find yourself having pockets with holes in them.....you dont seem like you know much about the GTR's, read up on the common problems, then maybe, maybe start looking at some, hopefully with one of your GTR knowing friend. -

yeah i would think so too....pretty much a good base for what i want then, ill give the guy a call tomorrow and check out how things go....pretty sure trojan might of done the work but ill contact him and see what go goes on from there... i didnt have time to call the other day :S

also about replacing things etc...i do know about that, and i do accept that is is a 22 year old car and things need to be refreshed and changed, and im willing to put some work into it...iv got a list of mods and lists of changes that id do if i owned a r32 gtr ( i do read peoples build threads which is a lot of help ...currently reading the build of the bloke from canada) basically i dont want a power house, just something stock/ish with a bit power maybe 200awkw will do really, i just always loved the look and the purpose and the history the r32 gtr has, it is hands down my all time fave car (as i said to my bro i would take a brand new one over anything lol)

thanks for the mate, well the car is cheaper then the rest that have been rebuilt, or going around in nsw or anywhere else, also its reasonably stock condition with what i think would be a more of a "true" odo reading than the ones that have stated 80000 kms which is bs, which will provide as some sort of guide on to why things on the car are that the way they are (if that makes any sense)...also the rebuilt motor cant hurt + the hks gt-ss bolt ons cant hurt as well. as for the nissan fast i always wondered what does it actually provide/do?..further more how can it help me out in this situation?
