  1. We have been running our R33 in Sports Sedan - state (NSW) for a couple of years, just competed at national event (breifly) at Eastern Creek, Shannons Round as Sports Sedan. Qualified 4th in the wet - gear box lasted a lap and a half in the dry / another!! State point score / class is based on times whereas national is based on full floor and have separate 4wd class - have had for quite some time. Our taxi is 4 seconds quicker at EC on touring car control tyre, but ran out of bits to compete engine build for Shannons last week, if anyone has got a hollinger / GTR please PM Cheers Stuart
  2. Hi Zebra The AU has Ford Cast - Chapmans engraving on heads Cheers
  3. The R33 got outright honours at NSW Hillclimb C'ship at Grafton in the wet. Just replaced our 4th 3rd gear failure in twelve months, just fitted custom sandwhich plate to box - gunuine 3rd see what happens - last failed at 370kws, so its not the horse power its the box flex or unload torque, will know soon. Next round Mt Cooperbung (near Kempsey) this weekend coming 3/7/11 Here's a bit of mix of AU Qualifying, Race 1 and 2 and in car race 2 at NSW State Round June EC last weekend Next outing for AU will be Shannons Nationals at Eastern Creek 14 - 17th July not sure whether running Sports Sedan or Touring Car Challenge - currently doing engine freshen on AU and revalve on shocks - as long as I can get it back together in time, on some new boots should be an interesting weekend. Cheers
  4. I am with you on an extra Class ie 6, it would be great to see Superlap cars at more events. There has to be some control on eligability and classes or there is no point having records or events.
  5. Will be running AU at Eastern Creek this weekend 18th and 19th June, with a splash of orange on the front - new box not direct fit, so have to put up with rattly one for this weekend Good luck to those going to Wakefield Supersprint, By the way as far as the SI's complaint list goes - this was not directed at anyone in particular, it was to my opinion eligability would chip a few concerned in 3 classes with regards to aero, but anyway for those that can't read the rules, I personally dont give a F^%$ anymore. Maybe, some should look over there shoulder as to where the complaints come from! So yes I bought it up with the panel, seems everybody else knows more about this than I do. We have not been privaleged enough to receive a response from the panel as yet - but it is quite apparent that a few don't like Schedule A, B and F of CAMS manual. Feel free to correct me, if entrants of CAMS supersprint don't have to comply. (Its not superlap rules its CAMS NSW / Aus Title) Cheers
  6. So we are back on track now, with the AU - an official 1.00.9 in a supersprint on old tyres,. Speed before the kink 18kms slower than the Skyline R33. Sports Sedan Meeting 18th - 19th June at Eastern Creek - old girl will look like half a magpie (AU) - paint will still probably be wet but aiming for 1.36's straight up, with a few light suspension / setup changes Looking forward to dry Cheers
  7. Here's top secret in 10 years track work to keep RB26's together Beleive it or not Our full trim - rego'd R33 On A050's 1.39.464 1.40's at Superlap 2010 For the cost of your engine it is definitely worth adding. Has worked a treat on our R32 and R33 and others. Once again good luck, hope to get there for a look see - will miss running this year, just got too involved with Shannons Touring car Cheers Stuart
  8. Good Luck for Superlap, hope that OS88 doesn't have a G in it. Up to you but for Eastern Creek - I would recommend crossover breather from front to rear of the tapet cover! From your content list I would hit HKS up for sponsorship Cheers Stuart
  9. Congrats Mark another PB going well, Nick also pulled a blinder 1.37's in an evo. Had car on standby - decided against - big night Saturday and wasn't happy with car prep - so we ventured back home By all means hijack site - most news is good news. Cheers
  10. Not much seat room in that one, will PM you dates where we can organise ride in AU or R33 if your keen. Not sure, haven't asked on actual series that EVette was built for - but its got the bits for National Sports Sedans and Irace plus fun out here
  11. Zebra got it Here's it's cousin Negotiations very slow! Hope the bloody car's quicker. Cheers
  12. Lucky your not a betting man
  13. I hope to be learner, but the builder or previous driver is a long - long way past learner!
  14. If it scares you - its gotta be a good buy - enjoy - keep in touch
  15. Here is a hint and take note - no wonder the US dollar is crap at the moment - they can't even put a steering wheel on the right side of the car. LOL
  16. Irace last Friday - 29th April, qualifed 1st then the rains came - my 1999 Dunlop wets weren't' so good in races 1 and 2 - put slicks on anyway for 3rd race and went 8 seconds a lap quicker on slicks in the wet - than the wets - the only downfall was had to start from pit row - but got 7th. Once again I think most competitors had a good day - was a few issues and hold ups through the day due to wet weather and people mixing abilities and capabilites. NSW Supersprint R3 Wakefield Park - frosty start, but session 2 started to see some good times by many. (Consistent low 1.01's finally returned in AU) Session 4 the AU showed some good spirit and we joined the 60 second club - was pretty happy with this on 3 race old tyres, 15 degree day. Did a 1.00.95 didn't bother with last session as there was an oil spill at turn 4. Congrats to all, but special mention to Nismoman for a PB - good stuff. Cheers
  17. Hi Chris Ummmmmm - NO. Will do as soon as things get a bit closer to finalising -- !! hoping for a great 2012. The good old AU joined the 60 second club today at Wakefield - cool track, 3 race old tyres - not bad for an old taxi - 1.00.95 Yeay me and Henry / etta Cheers
  18. Had a ball in the Datto 1600, was a bit dissapointed with the next owner - he killed the poor old girl - several times. I fought for years for the yellow one - but the ex sold it for scrap metal. So someone, ended up with a fully ported re-co'd head, 4 cam shafts and a brand new reco 45mm webbers and manifold. The old girl was a bit different, to previous sports sedans and speedway, but was wrapped - beat little brother at his own game - you know he told me at the time I was to old and thanks to your Datto - I showed him!! So what are you up to these days? Cheers
  19. [email protected] Typo thanks for picking that up We welcome Circle Track Wheels Sydney - new owner Mark as a secondary sponsor. Thanks
  20. Have your companies name on a well televised national series, new car to Australia, without doubt about to dominate in 2012, this series and class. Minimum 2 year sponsorship deal (full car) competing at State, National levels. 100K minimum pa Contact Stuart Inwood 0418202047 02 6337 2545 [email protected]
  21. There is also a HSV Crewman (30,000k'ms), 1998 Hyabussa 1300 GSXR full R Spec rego SUZ13 14,000kms and State winning speedway quad Raptor 660, Karens house - keeping the boat - let you know when and if new venture finalises Cheers
  22. I'd recommend A050's - softs are ok for just hillclimbs on road going R32 - too soft for supersprints - we find mediums have done the job on both R32 & R33 at all NSW, Aussie and time attack events. Tow out on the front, bitta tow in on the back around 28psi cold. Enjoy
  23. Thanks Mark Karen did the footage, was wrapped to get the trophy - presentation was different, for a state series it was a walk by past the garage - congrats, there you go. Other drivers and spectators were more excited, as me, when I actually realised I'd won. Bathurst Regularity, Karen had a shocker!! Nominated 2.58's and basically straight off the batt 2.46's. Thus putting her out of regularity - but had an absolute ball, the only downer for the weekend - we picked a cracked block on Wednesday night (oil in radiator), and the old girl (R33) couldn't quite cope for the whole weekend. Had to retire lap 4 Saturday and missed Sundays run. From the grin on Karen' face the first 2 days, I reckon I got a couple of years racing left yet, with the best pit crew and relief driver - bar none. Cheers
  24. R35 Duncan ran the Michelin's, new and used - had some concerns on heat cycles etc with some. I ran Dunlop 280x 680 x 18s on R33 you will have issues with inner guard plastics front and rear, fuel filler plastics foul, if you are lucky enough to get some grippy ones even not running spacers stock up on wheel bearings. The 25mm oversize will give you about 1/2 a gear difference - so depending on horse power, torque and the track you are running - something to keep in mind Cheers
