  1. Depending on entries - they seem to chuck em all in ie Muscle Division - had HDT, Jap Turbo, Imp Prod / Sport Sedans, Saloon cars, Utes, and Muscle classes - no doubt this will change slightly dependant on entries. Hence the Handicap races - I started 50 seconds + 1 lap, others had 20 second delay etc etc. I beleive their should be coverage on Speed Week this Sunday 1pm - 3pm. All up, I did about 75 laps for $395 - great value - public entry is free and will be televised - all good and I got 2 1st trophies - Muscle Car Division - Outright and Jap Turbo class. Happy as!
  2. Thanks - keep watching times, they're just going to get better - only a bit, but better - fasters good, the faster the better. If you need any assistance send a PM - I got mine the week before (had previous Cams and Motorcycle Aust National Licences) - but Rod (Organiser) and Gary (OLT)from IRace were excellent to deal wtih, A quick medical, flag review and general knowledge tests, and 20 laps observed practice and you could be on your way.
  3. Thanks Tim - Its a great class, had a ball, was all good, be cautious of brutes, should have footage shortly, if we are there or can help give us a yell, when you are up and running.
  4. Thanks Re; the car - and its many early issues, must say, its not the R32 yet, but starting to enjoy. As far as new username goes - the only option with be R32 / R33 as I have just stolen front shocks/springs from 32, for 33 for next event (don't tell Karen) Next round is NSW Supersprint 12th Sept - OP, followed by 17th October last round OP South. Michelle had some overheating problems, and did a great job babysitting our car Friday night - didnt get a chance to catch up with her after event - but watched her run's, last seemed to have a misfire - fuel / pressure / flow issues to me?

    Irace Op

Myself in R33, and Michelle in her Open Wheeler, competed at OP on 14th and 15th Aug, as my first time at one of their events, in recently purchased (repairing / setting up) R33. I was totally shocked - only 3 Dato's, to my knowledge, competed. Excluding practice, and the Late Model Kingswood's leaking oil all over the track, this is a great starter pack and beyond for, anybody, to have a great time at a full race meeting! Had a ball of course. 1st in qualifying, and every race, including 1st Jap Turbo class / 1st Muscle Car Outright - PB of 1.16.9 on Dunlop DZ03's - 20psi boost, road rego'd R33.
  6. Thanks for info on camera - most appreciated. What's shitted me, for 3 days, is getting spring rates on Tein suspension - from all suppliers nationally, to do set up, unsucessfully with part #'s supplied - so its gone! (anyone wanting superstreet Teins less than 200km old suit R33 GTR send PM - great road, not a track setup) and we are going to try some BC Racing, (budget) seem's to be similar to HSD anyway - which have worked reasonable in the R32, like me - Good and Simple to set up! Any incar footage on OP? may have a tip for you - for GTR line! (this is secret - haha) [email protected] Thanks Duncan
  7. Only video was Sundays first run - nothing special. Have to upgrade our camera - too many issue's, but Suspension comes first! Checked springs; D/H builder had same springs all around - way under spec! Can you please give me details of where you got your incar camera? If your happy with it.
  8. Great day NTR 2/8/09 1.44.1866
  9. Congrats Duncan R35 LXS-438 at NSW Supersprint R7 - Eastern Creek - Aug 2009, excellent time of 1.44.7968 Well Done!! Also to Marek with fresher R35, 1.45.5861 - looking forward to Oran Park!

  11. Hi Duncan, Yeah Jim, (CRD) the 35 & 32 are similar down the straight at E/C and most blokes are getting real excited, some standard figures would be appreciated? but make them await your forecast figures to give us more time with 32, thanks
  12. Hi Jim Thought you might like this - EC 2 weeks ago against R35, tyres went to crap - getting the car there after our other issues - cracked brake rotors etc. Getting used to your tune, must say, best cars gone for over 12 months!! Stuart R32 112 - thanks - discussions on Nissan R35 Gt-R Discussion thread - Anyone Run at Eastern Creek?
  13. Last Dyno was 310.6kws and torque levels off @ 8000. Last tune by CRD Silverwater, improved the car enormously. Also must say, not that fussed on Dyno's but they were are kind as you can be to the car, sorting many silly stuff ups from previous tuner. Re: Wheels - we run Koyo Drift Tek because this is all we could find available although would not recommend these as they will bend just from running over ripple strips, potholes etc. We have purchased 14 new in the past 3 years, on last purchase we asked for assistance/discount from Koyo, we got straight no as the wheels were being used for racing. Sorry cant really recommend anything in particular!! Good luck in your search. Contact Troy at Jack Baker Tyrepower Adelaide - 08 8410 1312. All the same, if you need any wheels reparied - must say, Mag Wheel Repairs by Custom Painting - Brian or Ron 02 9621 3355 Kings Park (Blacktown) do a great job. Tyres - running Dunlop's DZO3s / mediums - recommend Hards for supersprints though - contact Peter at Garys motorsport
  14. Hi Pretty basic old girl - HSD Suspensions, changed the rear springs to lighter as it was too skippy, brakes are ECB's have had issues - but so far full support from distributor and worked well at EC. Engine is a stocker 80,000kms cam gears, N1 turbos, 700cc injectors, coil packs, clutch, Trust exhaust, SWR on rear diff, front standard. The biggest mods are mines baffled tapet covers, my ugly tapet cover catch system - running external oil pump system from tapet covers back to sump ; thus so far saving us the expense of engine rebuilds, I dont beleive oil restictor and bigger sumps solve the problem of the nick name bearing. Do beleive, lots of people have wasted lots of money on RB26's from money making and misinformation; shame hey!! Also pissed off, some major tuning shops, tuned our GTR as 2wd with 40% less torque and minimal kilowatt change, then optional businees on 4wd dyno. Please note huge difference 2 versus 4 in real horsepower / torque and tryes must say in 2 years hillcimb championships - various state champion Type SV - wasnt impressed personally with Bridgestone - found the Dunlop exceptional in medium compound - must say in supersprints over cooking tyres badly after 2 laps. 1580kilos with driver - going to try hard compound for next meet. Don't forget, both Duncans 35 and our 32 with some mods - are still stock engines. The 32 could not compete with Duncans times with or without issues at Oran Park and Wakefield. my congrats go to Duncan again - on his his times with a fresh car!! Thanks anyway - please any other disussions will try and reply on general dicussions not R35 Discussion Thread. Its all new this site at the moment but working it all out!! Evo ly (Slowly - haha)
  15. Please let us know when 32's run in, thats over 220kws more than I am running in my R32, with a PB of 1.45.9886. Have also enjoyed bike track day's in the past - bike still in shed, old 98 Hirebus (GSX 1300R), only 204hp on road tyres, 1 owner 13,000km's on clock - pm me when u head out, as would be great to catch up p/b simular .
  16. Wondering what times your bike does round EC, slicks or road tyres? Our times for the 35 & 32 - both road registered - standard engines, average tyres - would place us, mid field in NSW Sports Sedan Racing category!! As only the first or second time at the track for these vehicles, I reckon - not bad!!
  17. Thanks, Duncan - Excellent coverage - must say felt better than it looked at turn 1 rallysprint? The rest doesnt look as bad as I thought - (was very busy) - must say your steering wheel will out last mine! Thinking of trying hard compound for Wakefield as several brands of mediums are over it after warm up and one lap, bet its wet - see you there! Thanks again for a lap in the 35. Steerer / car / camera - excellent.
  18. Hi, Sorry new to site, just noting my R32 times on a good day at Eastern Creek. R32 mods - std engine, N1 turbo's, injectors, exhaust, apexi and HSD suspension, Dunlop (DZ03's Med), full trim and NSW rego, but dont give 35 an inch, cause it will take a mile, cause it can. Come on Lotto
  19. Me too, (good thing I did rallying for a while) thank goodness its a Nissan, sorry couldn't chat - kids were over it! Hope I don't owe you a windscreen. If not, I can get new tyres!! All going well, I will be able to get you on camera, for a while at Wakefield. Thanks for the great clean run, my camera went flat on our run, so some footage (edited) would be great.
  20. Duncan, was a great day, first trouble free round this year for us! Run 4 was a bit much for the already over it Dunlops. As first time at Eastern Creek in R32, was reasonably happy with a 1.45.9. Still sorting some minor issue's, but considering last run at track was in 94 in a Torana Club Car and 1st outright with a 1.49.85. Go the Nissan's Congrat's to Jason 888 and John 94 in SV.
