  1. Yep, usually is a good weeked, must say it was for me, 2 new records in R33 and second outright for the weekend, not a bad effort against a Lola, March, Pilbean, Cheetah, Trojan etc. R33 Supersprint 43.54 1st Type SV R32 51.60 9th R33 Mountain Straight Hillclimb 46.29 1st - Type SV R32 53.88 7th Karen had a great weekend in the 32, after her having a rest for nearly 3 years, finishing 13th outright of 80 over the two days, with 20 or more in our class both days. I had a go in the R32 in the supersprint last run - Mark was going to kick my ass - but I got a time of 46.66 I think thats faster than 49.98 LOL! Watch out for vids next day or so.
  2. Thanks Yoky 265 x 35 x 18's A050's Medium compound - would like to try slicks, one day!

  4. Thanks Duncan, OMG, wait till you see my vids - turn 1 and 4 You thought turn 1 at EC was a moment haha! Shame you didnt make it - but word of advise when you go - take the big one's!! But seriously turn one is easy its just the other 599 corners you gotta get right (and watch out for the chooks over the back at hay shed - they like a birds eye view) Anyway, must say competitors / officials / walk abouts - were great, put on your must do list. The fat whale as M & M affectionately call the R33, last five starts five records - Aussie Hillcimb Champ & fastest tintop (Haunted Hills, Vic Nov09), Muslce Car Champ (OP Aug 09), Fosc, also EC & OP South track record - class win at Aussie Supersprint PI, Outright - 2nd TTop - common 2010!!
  5. Thanks Duncan and congrats to you too! and Jack and also many others, unkown - that offerred support - had a great weekend, still got time, tyres got a bit saggy, (as most know had braking issues) will be back, once again special thanks to everyone that offered support for a great weekend!! Will put some braking issues vid's on soon, bought the mediums - next time will bring the bigger bits. PS 32 and 33, in 4 years have never run hot never more than half if they are good and clean, when in front airs nice and cool!! Go the Dato's, BUT add some air when on the dyno.
  6. Spot on Marko R1 - Jim know's his Nissan's Our R33 - 2 records - OP South - 46.81 and EC - 1.44.19 still on 20psi, can't wait till finished set-up!!
  7. Congrats Duncan, great job, totally enjoyed competiting with all in supersprint series, especially the occassions we ran together, was great! I think PI should go back on your calender as you are current NSW outright supersprint champion for 09?? Cheers
  8. Great times, magic tyres - ran Ms in supersprints, tried the soft compound in a hillclimb on the weekend at Newcastle NSW - must say excellent!! Wouldn't mind your kw's and weight, maybe I can work on that later next year!! Hoping to head North for Mount Cotton and do a lap or two around QLD raceway mid year 2010.
  9. No, didnt know about drive day - so we entered for Matara Hillclimb Round of the NSW State Hillclimb Championship. Took R33 to its first hillclimb, must say, was impressed - ended up with a 37.86 , smashing old record by nearly 2 seconds and 2 10ths off fastest tintop ever. 1st in class and fastest tintop - good weekend. No doubt drive day would have been great fun, (how did you go?) will get there soon, schedule is 1st Nov Aust Hillcimb Championship Victoria and 2 weeks later Aust Supersprint Champs at PI. Cheers
  10. Eastern Creek NSW Supersprint C'Ship Aug 09R33 PB 1.44.1
  11. Yep different - cant blame the ute for not using his mirror - he didnt have one, check out right d/s - I faired better than someone else - did just touch bar - scratch only, but yep, spot on, did have to jump ripple strip as well. I was a bit keen, had the same drama's passing it earlier in the same race (12 lapper). Didn't matter - reverse grid with 50 second penalty, won race on last corner!!
  12. My Grandfather did the old Vale (motorbikes) - still there - a bit bumpy, and Dad did Peel and Redex Trials (Yes even competing against Jelagnite Jack - aint that a story) Must say Amaroo was a great track, won 2E Club car supersprints there from 89 - 94. Catalina was GREAT - nothing like going into the tunnel of love flat out in the shade - moss all over the track and still finishing - and on odd occasion - in reverse over finish line. No dints - great times!! Hopefully Bathurst GP bike split or whatever you like to call it - track - will go ahead as this will be excellent for club events.
  13. Yes 1.15.88 at OP GP at Supersprint - were on the way!!
  14. Hi All Got our 1.15.88 at OP GP Supersprint Sept 09 Still can do better - had issues with strutt tower hight adjusters not coping. See Motorsport> Club Level Motor Sport> In Car Circuit Videos PAGE 7 for a clip from Irace and the 1.15 lap
  15. Here you go 1.15.88 OP GP Sept 2009 Supersprint R33 Road Rego'd Yes I know about the sound issues enjoy
  16. Irace Oran Park R33 -Stuart
  17. Thanks Duncan been off air - Yes R32 is in shed with R33 just waiting (hope they misbehave) so can get for R65. R33 previous supsension did handle like FB Holden! New BCs much better, did 1.16.9 at OP playing with spring rates, and W/A hoping for much better on 12/9 NSW Superspirnt C'Ship OP
  18. Applogies accepted and given, I may have also been a bit short! I've got two of these damm things, anyway more than happy with both, just finished some suspensions mods on the R33 ready for next meet - yet to run Wakefield in R33, expecting it to shine over R32 times there. Had a look on AASA and (MRA only came up bikes) yes got one (GSX-1300R) but dont have time, with 32 and 33, as prepping for final 2 rounds in supersprint series and Aussie Hillclimb C'ship. Some more info on AASA would be appreciated, as could only find licence and insurance info (not calender) ie for Wakefield - dates, expecting similar times from 33 now on Dzo3's, hopefully we will be able to provide some very good skyline racing. PS Wanted 18 x 9.5 or 18 x 10.0 inch rims (x4) to fit over AP Brakes on R33. Lenso D1R's don't fit / shame as they looked good! Dont forget IRS next round on Calender TBA 3-4 October then to Oran Park South Circuit 13-15 November!!
  19. Also they cant vent from rear of valve cover or front when it is full of oil - hence the reason front and rear breather! Sorry Brad, Just had a quick look on site and could not find any of your times to substantiate you claims Please advise? Our R32 - (full rego) is running 296 at all four - never had the head off or sump from factory does 1.06s at Wakefield on Dz03 (M), 1.45s at EC and 1.18s at OP our R33 has had extensive work by previous owner in QLD, all re-done, as most people know - cant say where from, but now running a safe 398 at all four at 20 psi at 7,680rpm. EC 1.44s and 1.16s at OP (full Rego) Dz03s ® PS no oil in the sump stops the pump!!
  20. Thanks Risking, exactly correct - I was only trying to show an easy way before engine loss or failures without pulling head, blocks, rubbish apart If this is so well known, why couldnt 5 of the top tune shops weve been to fix our problem in four years? Also where is all the skyline's doing Hillclimbs, Supersprints and track days. If this system works so well on its own, come do Bathurst hillclimb at 26's, in road rego'd car on fresh DZ03's. Cause ours couldn't, without filling the catchcan. One breather doesnt work for us on R32 or R33 The faster you go, the more it breathes, the better it will pump - I like it in the sump. (Note: R33 engine - spanking - brand new - still had same issues before front pipe added) As far as being discussed before if you had of looked - reasonably new member to site when we joined the site didnt find this thread - already over some comments eg warnings from whatever, anyways all the best have fun to all. GTR R32 Australian Hillcimb champ 06 and 08, 2nd 07 R33-09 watch this space November. While you are home not competing keep an eye on NSW Supersprint Championship 09 - great fun!!
  21. Don't have drain from rear of head, will do this when head comes off. As you know blow bye can be an issue, the biggest issue is standard head and G-Forces restricts oil return from head. If oils at breather point any blowbye has no choice but to push oil out. Lots of things have helped - mines baffles, oil restrictors etc. The best is results is this breather setup, if you have a big budget, dry sumps the answer. Cheers!
  22. Here's two options that both work! R32 is a bit ugly but works, drain from valve cover catch can back to rear turbo drain is general knowledge our biggest improvement is venting valve cover ie from oil cap back to catch can. Under blowby conditions, this stops oil pumping from valve covers or can, as it is vented both ends - no longer wants to push the oil out, lets engine breathe. Prior to this the R32 - standard engine and sump - would fill 3 ltr catch can in 40 second hillclimb - engine still strong, no fumes, remembering if there is 3 lts of oil in catch can 2ltrs in valve cover doesn't leave much for the engine! Thats why oil pumps blow up etc etc For FoSC regularity events as a safety measure ran a holley blue fuel pump from 3ltr catch can back to dip stick tube, this also worked great under extreme conditions R33 - most of this setup was existing on car, eg 9ltr high octane sump, twin catch cans main drain back to sump - we added the filler cap back to rear valve cover can hose and earles one-way valve catch can back to sump - this also stopped it filling the catch can in 5 laps at Wakefield - following approximately 75 laps at Oran Park GP - breather hose from main catch can, probably half a dozen drops of oil! 24. Firstly, thankyou - for doing race control, cause if you're not there, we can't be there!! Thanks again, I am sure from all competitors - make time to come and have a chat to the cranky old bloke in the Silver Skyline!! Where are all the skylines? Come, have a go - you'll love it - promise! Hillcimbs, supersprint and circuit - heaps of options PS - Dont tell anyone - this big Secret - on how to keep an RB26 together (4 Competition), this has worked for 4 years with our R32 and fixed all issues to date with R33, even with extended sump and baffles (R33) - re oil surge; or whatever you wish to call engine failures (some say bearings) These cars have consistantly ran sub 1.17s; OP, EC sub 1.45 and Wakefield 1.07's (no issues to date) Simple Update - pending on engine spec, could cost from $100 to $400 Not fool proof, but has worked great for us -already being copied - be careful! - PM for info! Happy to help.
  25. Tim, under cams rules you can log book your car in any class eg - R32 is 2A - Closed Sports Car, what you must do is read entries / supp regs carefully - as to what class your car is eligible for and enter it!! The log book class, is of no main concern it is the eligability of how you enter. Hope that helps if you need any more info please do not hesitate to PM me.
