Alarm on mine has keyless entry, they had to fit a motor for the driver's door side lock but that was 15 mins, easy.

Factory A31/c33 Turbo Vs R32 Turbo
Nic_A31 replied to Nic_A31's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Nah this one isnt a DE+T. Factory turbo auto halfcut. Atleast I don't think it is. The KMS are mismatched to the dash, possible they blew the long motor and replaced it, keeping the C33 gear like turbo, pipework, etc. ..but doesn't feel same as Rowans. Rowans had lots of torque and spooled up even earlier and quicker (start 2000 - full before 3000) Dan, what turbo do you currently have fitted? The pic with 16V and no other markings seems to have same type of fins. (straight, closer together) If the fins are different between the two you have, try both turbo's. I'll do the same. The motor in the other Ceffy was running ok but the actuator was sometimes a bit of a joker. Trying to open up at idle, not opening up at all, jamming open, etc. -
Factory A31/c33 Turbo Vs R32 Turbo
Nic_A31 replied to Nic_A31's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Maybe my 16v 9 is the black sheep then? Even under hard accel it'd do f**k all before 4k.....anyone else got a 9 or 10? -
Got to take my Cefiro out on the weekend and have a play with the factory turbo Laurel setup. Alot different to R32 turbo's IMO. Despite no BOV, close to zero flutter/surge in gear shifts (somehow) Turbo starts singing at 2500rpm and is on 10 PSI just before 4000rpm, the sound is completely different. Vids to come. But for now, I taken pics of difference. A31/C33 use a 16V - 10 R32s use a 16V 9 Everything else appears to be the same. Different number on the wastegate actuators from memory. Exhaust side exactly the same, housings, wheels, etc all the same.

Don't know why you'd want to remove the auto door locks...I find that very usefull when kidnapping people, but that's just me......scared the f**k out of me first time I drove mine. The beeping sound comes from the controller behind the far right air con vent (facing the driver's window), either disconnect that or the module that controls it which is in that panel below the steering collumn. One of the same modules is responsible for auto door locks I believe. Cut wire #53 on your ECU to kill the speed limiter (this may also kill auto door locks, will send HICAS into dissaray and possibly cause other issues)

Got this running properly mid-week. Mate put on a BBQ on Friday afternoon, in a panic attempt to clean the backyard we threw everything and anything into the Cefiro and parked it up out the front. Being stupidly keen to finally drive it, I only emptied half of that shit (weigh the car down a bit, and having shit in the car makes me behave). First corner, fuel pump fuse blew.....luckily the corner is on a hill, so, put it into neutral, and just rolled all the way back to my mate's driveway. Fixed the fuse, and THEN off again for a drive. The turbo on this thing is HARDCORE. My R32 motor in the other Cefiro would start singing at around 4000-4500 and see full boost by maybe 5500-6000. THIS little f**ker starts making noise @ 2500rpm seeing 10PSI by 4000rpm. Also interesting to note that at 4000rpm or later, if cruising at a steady speed, the wastegate actuator will keep the turbo OFF boost (again even past 4000rpm) and only RE-opens when there's a sudden change in throttle. The actuator must feed off rising rate/flow somehow. Either way, it's great. Virtually no lag, very responsive and once you're up to the speed you want to be at it cuts off, yet ready to spool up instantaneously when you need it. Also some how does not flutter (at all) when throttle body closes even at 10PSI despite having no blow-off valve at all.....dunno how it does that, possible the ECU feeding a f**kload of fuel? Really don't know, but again, it does it's thing and does it well....it's not killing it's own turbo.

Vic: Autech Front Bar (fibreglass)

Please ship. Pack n Send. 6106 or 6056, whichever. [WA] Do it. -
Either the line you said (to canister). Line from manifold to either Fuel Pressure Reg. Or use R32 setup.
-
Cant work without it, just saying some fancy turbo timers can make use of it if it IS connected instead of bridged.
-
That's the one. Bridge two big f**kers for the park/neutral one, and if I recall correctly, reverse is a green wire and black ?? for some reason I keep thinking red not black, dunno. Reverse sensor is the forward most sensor on the box, near the bell housing, the neutral sensor is the one near the selector if you want to wire that up too (then you can wire up turbo timers so you dont have any in-gear accidents, same with alarms, etc)

Socrates, with your permission? I shall continue Facebook stalking.

300ZX cable is longer yes, might too long though. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/comm...G30DETT_001.jpg As you can see, out firewall, to strut tower, to right hand side intake, along to back of motor and up along under that V6 3000 cover in the middle. SR/CA cable might be the go....maybe :S

^^ haha winner. Don't make me post pics Socs.

I was thinking more along lines of ads on TV, preferable with Socrates' sister wearing close to nothing saying good things about us all (especially me).

^^ tested mine and it still works all good. Plugged back into Cefiro, turned it on, off, took it out and tested again, same deal. Still works.

C33 Laurel Halfcut Left Overs
Nic_A31 replied to Nic_A31's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Can see if I got my old one laying around still but I used the one out of the halfcut. Old one still works if I DO have it, just used halfcut one because it has a nicer display. -
Can you hear the fuel pump priming? If so, are you getting enough fuel through the hose between the filter and the rail? I recently started a halfcut motor that hadn't run for years, among many challenges was that when I reseated my fuel pump, the filter bag was pressed down on the tank in the wrong spot and was restricting flow. Fuel pump would prime but not enough fuel would actually make it to the rail or injectors Is the ECU itself powering up and which mode is it is ? Lights on the dash and the ECU itself will light up when ECU turns on, as for mode, adjust that screw with a screwdriver, make sure it's back at 1, not that it should make a difference.

^^ Correct, goes by username COFF33. Cool dude.
