  1. The issue was that it was mysteriously running lean at high load when it shouldn't. Upgraded injectors from 1000s to 1400s and had the same problem. Knew it wasn't the fuel pump so it was the next point of elimination.
  2. I have been through this, would still advise not to, unless you are willing to swap literally every part. Not just the things you were talking about, youd be surprised how much other little differences there are, brackets etc, wiring etc that exist. You will end up swapping everything except the interior and body panels
  3. Just going with a Clio RS, would rather do more laps in a slower car than less laps in a faster car when the limit is the guy driving... Been in Europe since Nov, so trip wouldn't be wasted if track not open this weekend.. Doesn't look like it's gonna snow, so most likely will be on for some 20 minute laps in the rain in pants shitting terror
  4. Wiped car out at 30kmh last time I went for a drive, haven't done any real spirited driving since.. Nurburgring tomorrow, what could possibly go wrong
  5. It seems to be an issue with the 34, unsure if its different for other skylines or whether the ryco filter is different.. In short, seems to run into issues at about 360kw on e85.. On a manual. My car was the first one that Scotty was talking about as he was there at the time it was decided 'wtf, let's do a run without a filter at all...'
  6. I had a set of 800s and then 1000s and now 1400s... Just get the bigger ones.. They work fine...
  7. These numbers make me unsurprised as to why my engine exploded
  8. Depends entirely where it is leaking from... I have actually had 3 r34 fuel tanks fail You will most likely have to drop the rear subframe to get to the tank/see the problem.
  9. Has someone really not run a car on both dynos in question? I'll do it and see.........one of these years...
  10. Had a work thing there last Friday. Drove into the city, took one look inside this place, turned around and left for the same reason.
  11. This link was found by gf. She now wants to do something and must appease. Thanks, guy!
  12. If you are curious to learn about what your car is doing, and what an ECU can do, and monitor shit and .. really just 'see' more then yeah. Haltech's stuff is super easy to understand. The fact you can plug right into where the stock ECU is is just gravy.
  13. Yes, except the issue is 'where does the pay come from'
  14. My ex-wife was a RN, I understand the skills they have. But a lot of people have skills. 70k+ is not necessarily a shit wage, to the extent of protesting and writing about how you need more money all over the work vehicle that your employer provides.
  15. tbh, I never looked at what teachers or ambos really got paid. Just assumptions through what you hear through various protests Most teachers I know are on considerably more than 40k, was a bit of a random stab at super low end poverty wages that you assume they're on. But I never knew an Ambo would, or could ever, ever, ever be a 6 figure job. Ever.
  16. Was a few pages back Genuinely surprised Ambos get 70k, and can get up to 100k. Always assumed they were on 40k or something, akin to teachers and associated complaints. Can't possibly be the only one?
  17. My last NYE was at Ankor Wat in Cambodia Quite confident all of Thailand also will be doing NYE, cheap too
  18. For what its worth (and to all you searchers) R33GTST is eye/eye as well.
  19. Hope does nothing it appears, so cmon make me an offer to reclaim my shed space.
  20. When I was there I booked hotels/motels/private hostel rooms a day in advance using the internet. There's plenty of places if your standards are low enough. That said, $12 will get you a pretty damn nice room, for $12. Obviously sensible to have your first few days booked, though!
  21. Da Nang, Sapa (its not cold, "cold" in Vietnam is under 30) are pretty touristy places. Yes you can hire a bike anywhere. WARNING: TRAFFIC IN VIETNAM IS INSANE. I only hired a bike when I was WELL in no-mans land. I mean WELL in no-mans land. Hiring a bike in a city is ... man, need massive balls for that. Taxis push people on scooters out of the way with the car. That's what its like.
  22. u wot m8 Depends a bit on how savvy you are though. I can imagine a lot of people want to 'travel' but lose their mind if they have to go to an ol quarter Hanoi restaurant, sit on a plastic table and eat unknown food from an unknown menu in an unknown language and don't know how to use chopsticks. "This is so different!" is either really interesting and cool, or terrifying to some people.
  23. What do you mean when you say 'tours'? I didn't like taking tours (travel hipster lololoolol) but there are many out there, Sapa, Ha Long bay etc but you can do FAR better for yourself if you do NOT take tours. In Vietnam, you will get a LOT OF PEOPLE offering tours and shit to you. Its just how it is. Shake your head and keep walking, and you'll be fine. Down south they are more pushy. Hanoi is great to just walk around in. Tour people seem to love Sappa. I skipped it and went to Ha Giang. There is nothing to do in Ha Giang, unless you really enjoy that fact in which case it is awesome. Hire a motorbike (for like $3 a day) and go exploring. Try not to die. There's towns up north along the China border which is where I went instead of Nappa. Google Dong Van (really, lol) But this is seriously way off the map. Enough so that children who have never seen a white person before will start crying and lose their shit at the strange alien people. However everyone else there is awesome. It's a big adventure, but it's of the unscripted kind. But you can walk into any hostel in Hanoi and say one word of English and get thrown enough tours that you will be there for fourty years doing tours of god knows what
  24. GO TO VIETNAM It is cheaper than Bali. It's pretty much what you want. If you aren't a super traveller, you may find Hanoi a bit 'out there' Either that or you will love it.
