I was of the impression that the GT series tend to, well.. die in the ass after about 22-23PSI on a RB In other words moar boost = no moar power. This was the impression I got when reading about the GT3076 when compared to GTX3076, in that the GTX series continue making power under more boost after the GT series has stopped making gains.

I was in the same situation but for a R34. Ripping it out and having it sent to MV in Adelaide is not a bad idea. I had a great experience with DTM Autos in Geelong, they really know their stuff. However, a GT-A Auto may not be the same as a R34 Auto. However they can be fairly busy. Their bread and butter is 'normal' transmissions, so getting something highly specialized in there can take some time before they can dedicate the cranial space to thinking and getting it going. I am sure you've heard it but manual conversssiiiiooooooon.... is what I wish I did, if my Auto ever dies

Technically speaking though, advancing timing only increases power to a point, after a point it starts reducing power. If you're not pinging at that point, on 98 well, you don't need E85. It's possible in some lovely systems to not be pinging at MBT. Same thing re: Boost pressure. But in the real world, where we do stuff like add turbos to systems designed for lesser turbos, well, E85 starts becoming cool. Would be curious to see what happens on a stock system, but you aren't gonna run more than 10psi on it anyway. I would wager youd gain more powars per dollar by upgrading to a hiflow on 98, vs converting to E85 on a stock turbo.

Running E85 on stock turbo is really not a cost effective/convienient solution Technically speaking, all E85 does is removes limitations of less than optimal systems, its not like you're gonna slam 30PSI into a stock turbo with a ton of timing for other explodey reasons... If you could hit MBT and Peak compressor efficiency from your turbo on 98 without it pinging to death, switching to E85 wouldn't give you more power, I've been told that's why some people see big gains from E85 and some people don't

Then I suggest you get a wideband and flex fuel Wideband because playing with correction maps is likely going to be needed if you want it perfect. Its quite time intensive and expecting it to be PERFECT from a few hours on a dyno will never be feasible. There's a lot of "hm, I'm idling at 13.7 AFR when I'd like it to be 14.7 when I am on 72% 98 and 28% E85" goings on
-
To be honest, I never really used flex fuel. Seems good, in the real world once you're on E85 you don't need 98, as the availability is fine unless you're driving to Mildura etc. That said, flex isn't very hard. All the ECU needs to know is ethanol % which it turns from 0V to 5V. Then the ECU takes that input which may be like 2.5V, and applies a certain percentage of a correction map to fuel/timing/boost, relative to the voltage of that input. That's all there is to it

Which is probably the absolute best option when driving a car that's had a turbo change without a tune, lol.
-
Cause now the cheapest part of it is the Petrol, not the Ethanol? Edit, clearly wrong, cause that'd make E10 more expensive than 91 in that case.

Clio RS200 has the option to this, I found this out the day AFTER I rented it for the Nurburgring Could sound like R35, or spaceship, or a number of other things. Couldn't really tell it had a 'noise pipe' when I was driving the car in its native sound though. So I guess I was fooled

Still got all of this junk quality stuff! -
I still regard all of mohs mishaps as barely notable bad luck from my perspective

Injectors And Fuel Pump For High Flow Turbo?
Kinkstaah replied to re34perGTT's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
The thing for people searching, is the bigger setup is only marginally more expensive. Absolutely, absolutely worth the tiny extra even if you NEVER use it lol -
They still happen, if people genuinely know the people. People invite way too many f**king people to weddings is the problem, they're self indulgent bullshit at its finest. They are the selfie of events.

Injectors And Fuel Pump For High Flow Turbo?
Kinkstaah replied to re34perGTT's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Talk to Scotty nm35. Get 1400s and a 460lph pump, and and metal intake in one go. My advice though, have the money or do the manual conversion BEFORE you up the power. -
OR people already have the shit people are likely to gift them. Also no one likes buying gifts..

No 22 year old knows what they want in life. Don't expect to. Also if your goal is money and 'achievements' then yeah, you're gonna have a bad time.

Intercooler Install On Stock R33 Question
Kinkstaah replied to AshR33Gtst's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I have a blitz SE on a R34. You do need an angle grinder. Blitz even include a picture of what you need to cut.. It isn't much, but if you cannot cut the REO bar then well its going to get annoying. (Dunno about r33) If I could do it again, I'd get a good core then make sure the piping fits with no cutting by asking a fabricator to make up the cooler pipes and brackets to fit. -
Help- Fuel Filter For High Horsepower
Kinkstaah replied to sky30's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
The issue was that it was mysteriously running lean at high load when it shouldn't. Upgraded injectors from 1000s to 1400s and had the same problem. Knew it wasn't the fuel pump so it was the next point of elimination. -
I have been through this, would still advise not to, unless you are willing to swap literally every part. Not just the things you were talking about, youd be surprised how much other little differences there are, brackets etc, wiring etc that exist. You will end up swapping everything except the interior and body panels

Just going with a Clio RS, would rather do more laps in a slower car than less laps in a faster car when the limit is the guy driving... Been in Europe since Nov, so trip wouldn't be wasted if track not open this weekend.. Doesn't look like it's gonna snow, so most likely will be on for some 20 minute laps in the rain in pants shitting terror

Wiped car out at 30kmh last time I went for a drive, haven't done any real spirited driving since.. Nurburgring tomorrow, what could possibly go wrong

Help- Fuel Filter For High Horsepower
Kinkstaah replied to sky30's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
It seems to be an issue with the 34, unsure if its different for other skylines or whether the ryco filter is different.. In short, seems to run into issues at about 360kw on e85.. On a manual. My car was the first one that Scotty was talking about as he was there at the time it was decided 'wtf, let's do a run without a filter at all...' -
Bosch Id 1000 Part No For R34 Gtt - Upgrade Time
Kinkstaah replied to Nismo34R's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I had a set of 800s and then 1000s and now 1400s... Just get the bigger ones.. They work fine... -
These numbers make me unsurprised as to why my engine exploded
-
Depends entirely where it is leaking from... I have actually had 3 r34 fuel tanks fail You will most likely have to drop the rear subframe to get to the tank/see the problem.
