  2. Geno: Try KITS in ashmore if that is close, they are in Kamholtz Court. From what I have seen they do some excellent repair jobs from ya pov pack commos to bmw's and the like. Erin, $1000 donation is awesome, well done to everyone on your donations!!
  3. MANDO I loved your ride!!! very sexy. I was driving the white r31 silhouette that was riding your tail for half the cruise. PS. sorry to get a little bit close to you at one stage there, I had no idea until very late that we were turning left. Need to get me a booty hoe to give directions
  4. What a day!!! Congratulations Erin on a successful cruise. You have outdone yourself. Everyone behaved accordingly which was great to see. Like everyone else I couldnt get enough of seeing that many skylines lined up down the roads. So many pictures in my mind that I wish i could have gotten on the camera. knore: Get that footage somewhere to download or whatever when you can, would love to check out the lines all driving past!! I only took a couple of pics but I am uploading them at the moment. I think you will notice one particular car that got more shots than any others lol. Nothing special but a couple of nice pics there. http://syphon.atomicmoo.com/SAUcruise/index.htm Give the pics about 20 mins to upload.... not that your missing out on much. I only met a couple of the SAU guys, sorry to be such a snob, I barely know anyone I guess you dont get to know people unless you go up and chat. my bad..
  5. Hehehe gotta love these threads, always interesting to hear a story or two. I had one the other day, turning off the pacific hwy, 2 lane offramp, some guy comes flying past me in the left lane and turn offs too, pulls in front of me squeezing between me and another car. We go through a set of lights and both turn right at the next set which has 2 turning lanes again. I wanted to be in the right hand and he was still in front of me, i move to the right and bang he rips his wheel and jumps in the right lane even after giving a complete impression he was going to stay in the left lane. We then get a green light and he guns it off at the lights, needless to say i was coming home from work and am always in a hurry lol, gave it a nudge sitting about a car length behind him for about 70 metres, he finally jumps in the left lane and i cruise by. Cruise, i wasnt speeding, he rips his arm out the window swinging away carrying on, damn it was funny, telling me im a dickhead etc etc. Still to this day its got me stuffed what infact he was carrying on about. Maybe that when he cuts in front of people, they should know to stay away from him...err lol Thats what ya get with meathead tattoo infested swap donkeys on the gold coast
  6. I hear his boss is a real bastard and wouldnt pay him for time off work with a stuffed back
  7. Car: Skyline Silhouette Year: 1989 Purchased: Near on 18 months at a guess Kms: 257,000 Cost: $5000 Mods: Turbo conversion on NA motor, stock turbo and boost, Lowered on whiteline springs, monroe (ewww) shocks, nolathane bushes up front (soon to do the rear), 2 1/4" cat-back(soon to be 3"), 3" dump and highflow cat, RB74 pads up front. Love this car for many reasons and hate it for others lol Needs some serious money pumped into it now, new clutch (exedy HD) coming in the next week, 3" single piece tailshaft, LSD needs to be rebuilt, new bushes through the rear, new engine mounts and gearbox mounts, either import struts or coilovers all round with 4 pots and larger rotors, and cant forget the FMIC. And the list grows larger
  8. If it is only for a short time in the morning i would tell him to not worry, it will be moisture in the exhaust. If it constant, its water leaking into the combustion chamber. ie headgasket, cracked head. Id be going with the first option, dont worry about its, its normal on cold mornings
  9. You might want to read this thread http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=44847 This guy had good results with a business in brisbane, have a read

  16. Gordon, For that kind of money your not going to find something top of the range which im sure you already know:P But who cares when its just your run about hehe Quick question first though, did you wire the speakers up yourself..? Because in stock form they use a common ground, Im hoping you didnt wire them up that way because they can damage the headunit. Are you doing all 4 speakers, or just rears or fronts..? Either way, Id recommend putting 3-ways in the front doors (or splits), and just some 2-ways in the back (or of after some kind of bass, 6 x 9's or even just a small sub, 10 inch so to speak). Most of those speakers you supplied links to would probably do the job, I havent personally heard any of them, unsure on the JVC and Panasonic speakers. Usually Kenwood seem to make a reasonble quality speaker, usually not too bad bass to mid-range, but top end lacks a little. Thats only IMO though, which doesnt count for much lol. If you can, go somewhere where you can have a listen to all types and pick one that suits your preferences. You could try some Jaycar splits, titanium series I think arent too bad for the dollars. Not 100% but go and have a listen, and even have a look through the R31 forums, as I think quite a few threads have come up on this type of topic. Good luck, and give my brother a whack over the head next time you see him for me
  17. Hey anything is possible with a 15 year old car. Although brakes were pretty much overhauled 12 months ago and have been fantastic, rear brakes are questionable but fronts are fine. Definately a problem that can cause pulling to the left. blind_elk and ferni were right on the money with my problem!
  18. Hey just thought Id let anyone that is interested know how i went down at Traction Tyres. Wrapped with their service, they seemed genuinely interested in sorting out my problem, so they threw it on their aligner. Toe was shagged for a start (probably me and my gutter habit lol), camber was spot on. Replaced strut obviously fixed this right up. Castor was beautiful, slightly more positive castor on left side which is good for cambers on roads etc. Needless to say there wasnt a whole lot wrong but still pulled to left. So Hayden at Traction Tyres ripped off the front wheel and swapped the tyres over from left to right, and what do you know, drives in almost a perfect straight line! Steering rack has a little bit of play so thats next on the cards, but Im wrapped. Car is driving just like it should be after the amount of dollars Ive put into the front end. Definately reccommend Traction Tyres to anyone else who has a problem they cant rectify.
  19. Booked in for Monday at Traction Tyres in Rowville. Hopefully they can point me in the right direction. Thanks all
  20. Woah hehe thanks so much guys for the inputs. Ive been interstate for the last week which is why i havent replied. Ill go through all these suggestions in the next week and hopefully i can find the problem. Cheers again all
  21. Yeh tyre pressures are even both sides Tyres are pretty crap but still doesnt explain the camber... Thanks for the reply
  22. Need some help Car is pulling to the left like a mofo..... Ive replaced just about everything in the front end with brand new goodies, lowered 30mm on whiteline springs, still sucks the wang. Excuse the shortness of this post because ive just done it 3 times and had it not work to go back and my whole post is gone!! lol grrr Replaced a suspect bent strut which sorted camber out a little but im still running 0 degrees left, -1 degrees right. originally was +1 left, -1 right. Getting close but still crap, drives alot better but turn in to right sucks, and constantly pulls left.... Any ideas what i should be looking for.. Could cross member have moved? Anywhere you guys could recommend in Melbourne to go and see. Need someone that is interested in trying to sort out this problem, none of this align it and send me on my way cause they cant be stuffed using their brains Thanks guys, any more info i can supply. Cheers :ufo:
  23. Yup i was at this event!! Awesome night, waltzing matilda was a highlight. Sounded awesome in Melbourne Park. And yeh that support band was just rude lol.
  24. Alot of the time its quite hard not to speed with the attitude of most people up here on the Gold Coast. I though people rode my ass in Vic, its way worse in QLD. Some people are insane, sit 2 feet off your bumper at 110km/h! It makes me very uneasy and keen to speed up a little to get some space between myself and them. It would seem that everyone does 10km/h over the speed limit if not more always, doesnt matter where it is, and if i was pull over to get ppl off my bum, id spend more time on the side of the road than on it getting to where i need to go ANyways i know thats a bit off topic but i would like to know the exact amount of tollerance myself so i can sit a few kms over the speed limit if needed. Being from VIC, i do not speed at all, always sit on the or under the limit.
  25. LOL slip Merry xmas all and a safe and happy new year blah blah Double demerits..ouch I better drive slower than I already do
