  1. Quality install that, had to do the same thing in my mates XA Falcon with his CD Player, didn't/couldn't find an ACC wire... But, if you follow the headlights fuse you could just splice in the boost guage there couldn't you?
  2. Car: 1986 VL Turbo Insurance company: Elders Cost: $660 Age: 17 Driving history: Clean Gender: Male Mods: Stock, for now
  3. Been told they no longer stock DD gear at Alberts Cannington. You can get stuff from http://www.ddaudiodirect.com.au/casubwoofers.html though, looking at getting a 9512 myself.
  4. Hey guys, Need some stainless steel for my intercooler, looking for 2.5" stuff, will need maybe 2m of straight, and a few 45 and 90 bends. Been looking, only place I've found is stirlings metals, Anyone know where else to look? Cheers
  5. Quick question, is it a good idea to de-pressurise fuel lines, or doesn't it really matter?
  6. Any spots remaining? Not a SAU member (How much is it if you don't mind me asking?), but would be keen to learn to drive the new VL. Cheers,
  7. I had the same thinking. Started at curtin, saw the 101 r32s/33s/s13's/180sx's and decided i was either going VL Turbo, or an R31 And to Phenline, not worried about my car being broken into. Theres no way they are driving off with it, and is covered by insurance... And pretty sure any theif would smash open a GTR before they even have a second glance at my rust bucket
  8. Bog Stock 86 Berlina, hasn't even got a FMIC haha, but one of the previous owners did put a shit BOV on it for some reason >.> Saving up for a r33 manual box, and a nice FMIC, then you might hear me dosing round curtin
  9. Just a heads up, that moulded box looks pretty small, and depending on what sub your running, might be way below what is recommended for the volume of a sealed enclosure. If your at all handy with timber, could build yourself a nice ply/mdf box, and mount it in boot with brackets into the floor, just need to be careful if drilling into the fuel tank.
  10. Gotta decide if I should drive the bunky looking VL Turbo to uni now... Might stick to the VT until that sells haha.
  11. Bit off topic, but, does everyone get everything permitted? Getting a FMIC for the VL soon, and want to change intake to a pod filter, so to not get yellowed, I need both permitted I assume. Still trying to figure out if 2 intake mods is legal here.
  12. Curtin. Still trying to decide which engineering I'm going to enrol in. Original thought about electrical, but I hate maths, and electrical is pretty much pure maths I swear... So think I'm going to do mechanical...
  13. >.> Serious, that list has about 15 people on it... Electrical Apprenticeship here I come...
  14. Only thing that is keeping me at uni atm is the fact that one day, I can sign off any mod I want (With-in reason ofcourse).
  15. That P26C spot is to far to walk >.< Maybe when I got my stupid lectures in the nursing block I might park there. And the White 34R I see all the time, but plates are only up sometimes...
  16. Some shocking drivers at curtin... That couldnt have been someone slamming a door into your sidepanel could it? Also, is the guy that drives the 34 GTR on Green Ps on this forum? His always near me in the carpark near the basketball courts and the child care place... Not a bad car for a p plater
  17. Hey all. I have some store credit at Alberts Osbourne Park, and I want to use it buy myself a new head unit for my new car audio install. It must have 3 RCA pre outs, be able to play MP3s, have a direct iPod connection (Not aux), and have an easy to use interface. So far I have short listed a few units from alpine and pioneer: Pioneer DEH-7250SD http://www.pioneer.com.au/Products/Car%20E...H%207250SD.aspx Pioneer Pioneer DEH-5250SD http://www.pioneer.com.au/Products/Car%20E...H%205250SD.aspx Im liking pioneers offering with the SD card input, would mean I don't need a new iPod to play my tunes off, and the 7250 is up there because its apparently the same unit, but with a music browser and flip down face. Alpine iDA-X303 http://www.alpine.com.au/showItem.php?item_id=38 Alpine CDA-105Ei http://www.alpine.com.au/showItem.php?item_id=42 Alpine CDA-117E http://www.alpine.com.au/showItem.php?item_id=164 Had a CDA-102e in my old system, really like alpines way of browsing files. Mate has a ida-303, and that seems pretty decent aswell. Not to sure of the differences between the 105 and 117 though, but for $50 in the rrp, cant go wrong can you? Only thing is alpine is a bit costly compared to pioneers RRPs. Any advice, or recommendations would be greatly appreciated, heading down that way tomorrow, so going to head in and see if they got any of the above on display. Cheers.
  18. Think the stuff we use at work to seal window frames would work well. I intended to use it in my next audio install. Its called Flashtac, and it is a bitumen based rubber adhesive on a thin layer of what I think is just a plastic with a metallic finish.
  19. Hey all. Just wondering, where would be the best place to go to get a decent 5" tacho on short notice? Import shop I assume? Would need to get it tommorow (saturday). Any suggestions welcome. Thanks.
  20. Learn to read first... All vehicles originally weighing more than 1100 kg. Original tare mass (kg) x 5.0 = max. capacity in cc's 1600*5=8000. Can you even get 8L v8s?
  21. Hey guys, Yes I only have 1 post, but please don't disregard this as spam or fake or w/e. I have a 1979 Volvo 242 GT for sale. While I stated working vehicle, it is not registered, and needs a bit of work to pass WA pits, although it does run, but some electrical problems are suspected as battery runs itself flat very quickly. Small amounts of rust in a few places, namely door wells and and boot. As far as I know, the motor is not original and is non turbo. Also steering/front suspension/bearings need a look at, not sure which, just steering isn't the best. All orignal panels except for front drivers side gaurd, and the original orange and black stickers are still visable. Sorry to not have all specs and what not, this care is sitting un-used, and has been for a long time. Will have pics up this weekend hopefully. ATM the sale is an EOI, (with a ball park figure of a few thousand, considering it is a fairly rare car), if that is allowed here. All queries you can contact me at [email protected], or try calling 0413 687 722, names Matt, although phone is out of action for a while (refusing to turn on) Thanks.
