Guys, My GTR is dead after a bad accident, never to be registered again Just wondering if anyone would be interested in buying the wreck? How can there be such a question???? GTR any day.....You cannot go past GODZILLA.... When those twin turbos come onto boost and the engine roars and rushes towards 9000rpm with all paw grip, its a feeling many cars can't give...

Well guys it seems like my claim has come to an end.... Famous spoke to the police last week for the police report. I spoke to famous and they asked if I wanted the wreck. I agreed to purchase it back and then they mailed out the total loss statement offering me the value of the car less the wreck value. I have signed and mailed back the letter today. They advised me that once they received this letter, they will send me a cheque and allow me to pick up the wreck.... So all I can say is that Famous have been great with handling my claim....I can't reinsure with them because of the at fault claim, but what can you do....Just gotta wait for the cheque now and decide on what to do with the wreck....

Ok guys, about the progress on my claim.... So far Famous have been great....except for me needing to call them for a few things. I had to call them on Friday to learn that I also needed to mail my claim form through, not just fax it. Once they received it they advised me that they were waiting for the assesors report and Salvage values. The assessor was unable to send his report immediatley as he was waiting for a salvage value first. Famous called me yesterday to advise that they needed a police report number or to speak to the officer who wrote the report. I provided them with the information. I then called Famous today to find out what had happened. They advised me that they recevied the report and salvage values today and that they tried to speak to the officer regarding the incident but were unsuccessfull as the officer is away till Thursday. The claim can't proceed till famous speak with the officer on Thursday. I was told that they just need to clarify exactly what happened from the police report. Also, Jay95r33, u r right about their policy of not re-insuring. I am not able to re-insure with them due to this at fault claim...

Meshmesh, my premium is just over $2300 on max NCB as I pay by the month and my excess is $1000. Famous are waiting for the assessors report and Salvage figures which they should receive early next week. They should then contact me and tell me what happens next. Jay, are you sure about their policy about not allowing big pay out customers to re-insure for a period of 1-2 years? I spoke to someone there yesterday who has been there for a week and she said that she hadn't heard of this. If it is true, then I might try Just Cars next time as meshmesh's prices seem awesome. I will keep all you guys updated with the progress of this claim...

Well I just hope to have the matter resolved within a week or two, because I really need another car. I spoke to somebody at Famous over the phone who said that they will wait for the assessors report and salvage value and then proceed from there. These reports will be in by Monday of next week and so hopefully by the end of the week someone will call me and advise of what's happening. I guess this experience with Famous will determine whether or not I insure again with them. So far they have been quite helpful with any questions I have asked.

You gotta be kidding.....2 - 4 months....no way...why so long?

I had an accident in my GTR last Tuesday (13th July)...I'm very depressed about this because the car is now dead...write off. I'm insured with Famous and I lodged a claim with them. So far they've been very helpful. They have organised an assessor and he came out yesterday and had a look at the car. Famous are waiting for salvage figures before they contact me. I guess I Just wait now for Famous to contact me and tell me what comes next...Hopefully it'll be quick because I've got no other car...

damn.....My GTR had a cracked front lip and I sold it for $100!!!! The other owner supplied me with another one but had I known it was this much I would've sold it for more... By the way....how do u know if they're original??? Is it because they're plastic, not fibre glass??

BOV's were on a 180SX...They can be made to fit a skyline (i think??)

I had petrol smell in my GTR when I first got it and found the problem to be the first option in what craved said, the unleaded only filler cap was not installed correctly and the whole thing just popped out. As for your "Stuttering" problem....it could be two things.. 1) faulty fuel pump or 2) faulty turbo. My brother had this exact problem on his 180SX...turned out being the turbo...

How do you think he'd feel if a few guys got together, went down to his work and confronted his father first with the situation. If his father shrugs you guys off, then confront jordan himself....One thing for sure is that he'll shit himself and be watching his back where ever he goes...might make him pay some money back in a hurry ... don't mean to sound so voilent ....guys like this piss me off
