Sorry I havn't been on for a bit.... Not really interested in an integra thanks jomsy.... I've owned the car since February, I had it up for sale when I first got it 'cause I had the 2 cars at the time (but i put the price too high for any one to show interest). Then the GTS-t sold so I didn't worry about selling the GTR (YAY!!!) but now i've found out I have to go back into Hospital so I have to sell her (DOH!!!). Sorry man, Don't have any log books, there where none there when I got her. I have a feeling the belt has been changed but I couldn't say for sure or not.... Cheers guys, Dave.

Also, as a side not, I may consider trading for something a little cheaper with cash adjustment (something that's not gonna break my heart to have it sitting there for a while); I am considering getting a MZ20 Soarer (Manual 7M-GTE) or a Cefiro so that I can start getting into a bit of drifting once I'm back on the road.... FOR SALE: BNR 32 (R32 GTR) 1989 Model, Approx 85K K’s 5 Speed Manual Mods include: • 3” Trust Exhaust from the turbos back. • Greddy Strut Brace • 17” VOLK GTP RIMS • HKS POD Filters • HKS Turbo Timer + ¼ Mile Timer etc. • Aftermarket FMIC • Kenwood Head Unit + 10 CD Stacker The car is Gun-metal grey in Colour and is in BEAUTIFUL condition throughout…. I’ve just had the car serviced by ADVAN using Motul Oil etc. I have to sell the car 1. To get rid of some debt and 2. Because I will have to go into Hospital for surgery soon and will not be able to drive for up to 3 months following…(as you can see it’s a waste having a GTR sitting there for 3 months!) At the moment the car only gets driven on weekends and most of it’d driving is done on the freeway between Hornsby and Newcastle. The Car is registered till March 2005 so there’s plenty of Rego there. I am asking for offers around the $30,000.00 mark but, obviously, the price is negotiable (serious offers only)…. Thanks Endorean, yeah, I'd be sitting back patiently till a manual came along.... As long as the car is classed as something that could be used for drift I'd consider but if people had good reason to say definately not then I'd consider a cefiro etc.... How would you compare a soarer to a cefiro?....

What do you guys think of an MZ20 Soarer (with the 7M-GTE) as a drift car for starting out?.... Considering I'm still young, I think it would be a good idea to sell the GTR and get something a lil cheaper that i can throw around at events without having to worry too much about my wallet exploding in pain if something goes wrong (as apposed to a GTR) This would also give me a good chance to get on top of debt (clear it all out) and save for a unit etc.... I was thinking about this all yesterday, I like the look of the MZ20 and it's cheap and simple but is it suitable to use as a drift car?..... I won't be drifting it 24/7 and I realise that ANY car can be drifted when set-up proberly but i think you get the idea of what I'm asking.... OPINIONS PLEASE??? Cheers. Dave.

Pentae, I have a GTR for sale, she's an 89 model but is immaculate (and i'm not jerking anyone's chain there).... the worst thing that ADVAN had to say about it was that there's a bit of salt eating the paint off one of the rear wheels... sorry to hear tha 1. someone stuffed you round like that and 2. there's a GTR in that bad a condition... have a look at my ad (see signature).... -

Hey Roy, Thanks for the response... Yeah there is a kit he can get from the states with everything and the turbo is only set to 6PSI in that one, he is looking at either a haltech or microtech computer (can't remember which)... but apparently he has to change the alternator or set it up as a piggy back... any insight?.... Yeah, I understand the restrictive exh is a bad Idea, never really thought about it till i just read what you said though... now it seems REALLY bad... definate no no.... The big intercooler idea was because trhe turbo he was looking at using was set to about 10PSI and he only wants to run about 5-7... the guys in the states have apparently been snapping rods or something with 8PSI 'cause of high compression.... I'll have another talk to him and let him know what you said. Cheers man, Dave.

Hey guys, A mate of mine is doing a turbo conversion on his car, at this stage he's just planning it all an gathering the last of his funds so he can do it all... He found out recently that his compression ration is about 8 or 9:1 (can't remember the exact amount he told me... I suggested he decompress the head but that can be expensive and if there's an easier way to fix the issue, we'd like your suggestions (But we do want everything to work properly etc; no bodgy solutions) Also, the turbo he's gonna use is a hi-flowed CT26 (T3/T4 hybrid with dual int. wastegates - of a celica GT4). At the moment the turbo's boost is set to about 10(ish).... My mate only wants to run about 5-7PSI (7 at the MOST; to be safe)... What i suggested was a restrictive front/down pipe and the std. exhaust to limit the boost the turbo can generate... as well as that i suggested using a FMIC big enough to provide a bit of pressure drop and maybee some big intercooler piping?... I realise that if we did this to a turbo car, without enough boost you'd have turbo lag BUT when your going from his NA car to a custom turbo set-up, I really don't think he's gonna notice!?!? The car is a Mazda SP20, about 6 months old.... How else do you guys suggest we deal with the high compression and reduce the boost?.... Any help will be much appreciated. Cheers, Dave.

Yeah, the drilling/welding shouldn't be too expensive if we know a welder though should it... We're going to design our own display unit, using the 3... so the 3 boost guages would be a waste of money.... So how much do you think it would be for the 3 MAP sensors?

funky, I had a look at that and it looks good too... I was just picturing something cheap and simple that could be tapped into the pipes like the O2 sensors in the dump pipes.... any thing like that? is that what a MAP sensor would be like?

COuld the AFM be used as the initial sensor? or is the readings it gives different to what I want (as you can probably trell, I'm not as technically minded as my friend... lol!)

Bass Junky, permanently... We wanna rig up a digital display that shows what the air goes into the turbo at; what it comes out of the turbo at (turbo effieciency or whatever you call it) then what it goes into the manifold at (ie what loss is caused through the pipes and intercooler etc.... Don't really wanna spend a fortune converting the car to MAP for that you know?.... just need 3 lil sensors that we can plumb into the pipes to send the pressure as a digital signal.... Does that help?
