Car Shakes When I Brake
ARTZ replied to TMW-R34's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Dont u love it when cars fix themselves -
Any body tried or has these, 400$ and black..look ok, are they...or are they crud... Also what are legality worries with fitting them, heaps of people run these coolers that require cutting holes in the car, does that mean all those cars are unroadworthy?? Had second hand cooler and nistune deals fall through , running out cash, but turbo is fitted and need something so it'll work....... NB. I searched and found nothing(anywhere) and with 4100 new topics every month i figured 1 more wouldnt hurt too much

if the thermastat is closed no water is flowing through the engine...isnt that what a thermstat does?..stops water flow until engne is at operating temperature...So once the water is flowing is about when the fan should come on...cause until then it is still water so having the fan on is useless..

Car Shakes When I Brake
ARTZ replied to TMW-R34's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
is it auto?? Our car used to do it,mainly when going down big hills, where brakes are working hard. happens alot with autos,Falcodores owners are constantly changing discs but the Rotors arent actually warped, but residue from pads gets baked on to the rotors..You know when u sit at the lights with brakes on, pads are really hot..Apparently some good metallic pads and hard braking can clean it off, but i havent tried it... Either way get them machined.. no need to take discs off, you can get them machined on car..Any brake place even kmart tyre an auto can do it ,about 110$ -
HAha, i was about to ask exactly the same thing.. I want to know if i need this thing at all... I have a boost control so its not getting used...can i ditch it... Also need diagrams or a picture of how charcoal canister hooks up...and should charcoal be pouring out the bottom of it..

Skyline R33 Gts-t Hks Gt2835 Pro S Vs Sti
ARTZ replied to Turbz RB-25's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
People all seem to forget what the GT stands for...Grand touring...its a tourer not a rally bred buzz box, you sit back relaxed in a line not upright and tight like an evo or suby...its almost like comparing a harley to a jap bike...they are two different machines with there own style This argument about which is better is complete rubbish ,as every car will have its good and bad points...And at the end of the day they all get you to the same place in about the same amount of time... you buy or build the car that suits your style and the places you drive...Whatever that may be...And drive it the way you like... As far as Im concerned subarus are great for people who cant drive nissans... -
It doesnt go any higher than original, goes from rail under plenum straight around back of head under heater hoses, but instead of going straight to turbo goes down and then back up again .. By bleed bolt is that the bolt right up the top at front of the plenum? I was wondering what that was for
-
Ok found it..didnt have to take the bonnet of or anything, did have cam covers and aac out which helped...helped cut my hands on the sharp edges of the head that is , but with some perseverance got that prick of a bolt out, have just run gates flame proof hose all the way . Have run hose down and back up to turbo to keep it away from the ex housing a bit,,it now connects vertically not horizontal if that makes any sense.. Pretty sure water can pump up hill cant it?

And apparently there is more... How much is that one

cut down in 3 minutes..tough crowd here at SAU... lots of heaps of choices here mate, too many, depend what u wanna spend really... Nistune seems to be most popular , and retains standard ecu so looks original but with your car looking at around 1k.. Adaptronics seem to gaining popularity seen one in 4 sale thread for 1200 ever popular apexi pfc...loved by some loathed by others, heaps of these second hand but for around 1k too or nearly 2 k new Link..dunno...heard good reports but dont see many here using them Wolf 3d..again loved by some loathed by others.. Usually those that recomend wolf will dislike PFC and vise versa..not sure why... Somehthing about PFC being a cat killer and wold beinng a pain to tune.. But any of them are probably a good start, just get what you can afford.. If money is no option ask the guy whos gunna be tuning it for you... Other than that i have no f**king idea either...lol

Twin Lowmount Turbos Gtr With Screamer Pipe?
ARTZ replied to Chris32R's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Just get under the car an unbolt the exhaust at the cat, throw rest of the system away and a attach pipe that exits under the passenger side door , its the only way to roll.. -
those old mercs were crap even when they were new...the 318 is a much more spirited driver, If you look around for not the 318 but a 325, pretty sure they have a 2.5l 6 cylinder and with a 5 speed they are pretty quick cars.. Ive seen them around 10-15k with 100,000kms or so
