thanx for your reply makes sense. i got no boost gauge that works..so its a mystery what im running...i installed it out of the pack and opened it a 180 degree turn..but i dont think its any higher than 12ish. with the old bleed valve the figures were 186 rwkw at 6300 592 nm at 3200 at 11psi the turbotech valve i think is brilliant, boost comes on very early (2500approx) and is mega responsive. The only reason im wondering is because it stops building power when i hear this leak.. im almost certain the turbo is not standard or ceramic.. im gunna have to get in and have a look just to satisfy my own curiosity. i may be wrong, but thats a lot of torque for a standard! I was told its a T3. But dont believe much im told...

this noise is kind of like the noise a loose fanbelt makes on start-up...but alot worse.. started around moorabin ,by the time i got near frankston it was getting much worse but only noticable with heavy throttle applied. driven normally seems fine ..hmm just took a quik spin around the block seems fine..but didnt get a chance to mash the pedal...maybe try an oil flush..is motul 3100...ok?

hmmm...not sounding good....although it is reason to buy a new one...was running fine tonight...in the cool air n all too...drove into city was coming home give it some stick and ...arrrgghhhhhhh....wtf is that noise...gradually got worse I'm not exactly sure what turbo it is...I've seen standard ones and its not the same... but rebuild or replace whats the best option assuming its the problem

what about when the whistling turns to a nasty grinding noise , and is not making any power , soon as it comes onto booost it shreiks blue murder and doesnt pick up speed..... think i f#@ked it....lol.....turbo bearing maybe?

This should be in my stupid question thread, anything with an RB series engine all the way ... good power great reliability reasonable/good petrol economy and any half arsed backyard mechanic can fix em...rotaries are a pain in the preverbial butthole. Not to mention bloody expensive. Can be great when and if they work but are rubbish when they dont most sound horrible, and they drink more petrol than most v8s ..Id rather drive a busted VL anyday... I do know of the turbosmart boost tee but thought it basically did the same job as the one i have. Am i wrong? And thanks for reminding me about the lube..i was told but forgot....i will do it.... I was amazed at the difference the plugs made , there the recommended ngk-R platinums. The initial response suffered slightly but once it comes onto boost & starts to rev it has feels like it has more pull... Though i can notice what i think is the wastegate more now. It is a noticable hissing like a release of pressure . Or am i confusing this for something else I've been recommended the racing plugs with the recessed tip..Any opinions on these are they worth the brass "It seems everybody is getting a turbo these days cause its the IN thing, And everyone knows how to spend up big on shiny stuff, but few seem to know how to make them work PROPERLY" Can anyone tell me is a 2 3/4 inch exhaust standard? Will a 3inch dump metallic cat and 3 inch pipe put a smile on my face to justify the $$$$$ The cars already run mid 12s

Hit the ground running when your off your P's. but for daily duties drive any S*#tbox that works. Happy with assurance of having a beast hiding in the shed at home for when you really need it....

I got a banged up old mazda ute with 350,000 km on the clock on gas...cheap as too run and great for carrying stuff around...i reckon it works out cheaper than trying to drive my skyline everyday...keeps the 33 fresh and makes it so much more enjoyable to drive on special occasions or late nights when i cant sleep...who wants to drive a racecar in traffic anyway...kinda defeats the purpose....unless your a poser...lol

Its good that they know you want it , makes them more keen to sell it and more sure they will, if they think your not sure they wont waste their time..but ya got haggle..haggle ...haggle.....Get em on a bad/slow day for a start, sundays, rainy days etc, days when they have no traffic or sales...change ya mind heaps yes i want it, no i dont, go away , come back, ...act like you cant really afford it...but maybe u could stretch your budget...yeah i want it but you gotta do me a better deal....but then go back to no i cant afford...just play with them and most of all make em sweat and sweat and sweat like they almost have a sale but then dont...last but not least offer them a stupid price , 10% less than what they are asking or something.. just to see what happens....Practice is good..go to car lots and just haggle with salesman over cars you dont even want just to watch em sweat, its fun believe me.. and you will be surprised and some of the deals you are offered, plus you can have fun test driving different cars......i got my wifes 04 accord from 21,000 to 19,500.. which i didnt think was too bad..i made another guy sweat bad on a kia truck went from 20,990 to almost 16,000.. but i didnt buy it..lol. ..he was working that for half a day cutting deals too...poor bloke.....you can usually get extended warranties and stuff thrown in too , but half of them arent worth the paper they are printed on..and sometimes a few services or something.....problem is with hot imports and the like the demand means they know if you dont buy it some other sucker will so they are hard to budge...Basically dont rush... make them sweat on day when they have made no cash.. nobody likes going to work and not making something for the day....wow...did i just write all that, im outta beer . Ok so the batmobile was last century , but then i remembered this little gem from 2005. It is only a concept car but it does exsist And from the back Doesn't anyone like curves anymore, the Bugatti Veyron is up there but a bit too bland and the grill looks like a doggy door...

goddamn 2 hours to get spark plugs out...gap at 0.8, spray with crc....let see if i can get it back together b4 sundown.....

Next.....now from what i hear, with an increase in boost my wastegate is going to open early losing pressure, (is what i thought the whistling may have been). ...How will i notice this, should i feel it or notice it by gauge? .. ...Whats the safest way to remedy this problem? I,ve read of backyard washer tricks....and would love to install an eboost kit which i believe solves all these problems.....but funds lacking. ( hell im still saving to join SAU..) Any good advice is appreciated...
