id rather not tune it myself, as im still new to the tuning scene. Besides, im not going to fork out $400+ just to get my z32 working. How much does it cost to get your car tuned at a workshop?

woah, you can connect your ecu to your computer and change the ecu settings through your computer? the r32 ecu just sits on the bottom left of the passenger seats just right next to the feet right...?

I bought my first turbocharged car about a month ago. Its all going good so far, and im loving it. Although its all bells and whistles, im having troubling understanding whats what because of the massive difference between turbocharged and N/A engines. So here are a few pictures of my r32 gts-t's engine bay. I need to know what is what. So, can someone save these pictures and label them for me. Ill label what i think is what. thats what im asking, can you remap your factory ecu or do you need to buy another one?

can you get a stock r32 ecu remapped? shouldnt i just buy a aftermarket ecu? sorry if im asking stupid/obvious questions, but i have moved from N/A to Turbocharged, and boy, there is so much stuff to learn that its overwhelming.

can you explain to me what it exactly does? air flow converter? how much does it cost, how easily available is it? so, your basically telling me i need to change the computer in my car to the z32 to work? how effective are the piggyback ecu's?

My r32 afm wont work, so i ordered a z32. Now, ive been told that the z32 wont work on my car. Do i need a aftermarket ecu for it to work?

its defiantly your AFM . I have the same problem in my r32 gts-t and i should be getting my z32 afm tomorrow. Hopefully it will fix the issue.

is the engine a straight bolt on? will i need to get a different gearbox? also, whats the difference between a series 1 and a series 2 rb25det?

1- get a engine rebuild. My current rb20det has done 180,000km. Now, if it was a naturally aspirated car, it would be alright. But tubrocharged engines wear much quicker than NA engines. I can get this done for about $2500- $3000. If i do this, i wont have much money left, and wont be able to buy a aftermarket turbo. So if i do get this, i will only most likely get a r33 turbo since it bolts straight on to a rb20det. 2- Get a turbo performance package. Ill buy a turbo for about 1.5k - 2k. I will also get minor performance mods, such as cams, bigger intercooler, cold air intake etc... 3- get a rb25det. The block will cost me anywhere between 1k-2k + installation costs. Ill also need to get a new gearbox...(do i?) what is the best option for a good performance boost and reliability? what do you think about this? Thanks. PS: I heard that if you put a cold air intake into your turbo car, it will flutter. True or false?

My r32 gts-t has done about 190,000km. It has stock turbo and is running 11psi. Do you think the engine will die soon? The reason im asking if because N/A engines are much more durable and long lasting than turbo or supercharged engines.
