I didn't think the power fc were as good as its only a single rom, I thought some of the newer ecu's made it easier to tune and could support multiple fuel maps which would be changed easily depending on whats available at the pump. So green with this, what about the injectors/fuel pump... I'm trying to sell my GT-SS if I can get something reasonable to upgrade to the GT-RS... just not sure if this is a good idea with everything else getting done with a single pump and 660c injectors... hence I might leave turbo as is and just do the E85 tune and see where I'm at then and maybe upgrade to something still streetable but bigger than the turbos I have now. I want to keep my low mount setup as I'm approaching the point where I need to stop spending or risk losing something a little more personal from an angry girlfriend. She wasn't happy when I told her I just spent 12K, the same 12K that could've bought her a diamond ring apparently... pfft.. turbos or rocks? What the hell was she thinking????

Yeah I thought I posted this in the Stagea page... maybe it was moved??? But i guess this is as good a place to get some advice, i remember reading up on Guiltoy's tuning experience somewhere in this forum. That was a while ago now and was curious to know what other people are doing.

Hi Guys, Just out of curiosity has anyone gone down the E85 road with there Stagea? I'm looking at doing this and was wanting to know if anyone else has gone down this path. I'm curious to know what kind of power you are getting, what ecu you have and what size fuel pump and injectors you're running. I've already got 660cc injectors though given some recent purchases these will need to be swapped out, I was thinking of getting 1000cc but wasn't sure if this would be overkill. I believe I have a Nismo fuel pump but have heard of people using dual fuel pumps to run this stuff. If anyone knows someone in the Brisbane area that I could talk to, offer some advice in this area that would be great. Looking for someone with E85 tuning experience and an upgrade on my ecu which is currently the Apexi power fc. Some people have said to go Haltech but I used to hear some bad stories about these a few years back... if anyone has experience with this please share. I'm just looking to build something reliable and with dual fuel map type setup. I'm getting my motor built at the moment and will be looking at fuel upgrades/ecu once I have the package together.... if you can tell from what I'm putting together down below maybe you could tell me if I'm on the right track? (1000cc 2 X Nismo fuel pumps+ Haltech??) rb26 bottom end. block chemicaly cleaned, bored 40thou, crack tested, new welsh plugs, de-burred. r33 crank cryo frozen for strength, balanced, crack tested, micro polished. new n1 oil pump and water pump. new oil squiters in block, new nitto H beam rods, cp 40thou pistons, nismo bearings. full arp head and main stud kit, tomei oil restrictor. Getting the head of my current car chemically cleaned and crack tested, some minor head work including TOMEI Camshafts Poncam RB26DETT 9163 Type B (9.15 lift 260 degree), TOMEI Valve Springs Set Type-B RB26DETT 9784 & TOMEI Metal Gasket Combination Set RB26DETT 13436. I have the HKS660C injectors, HKS-GT-SS turbos and am fittin up a HKS Type R intercooler 600x300x100 and hard piping kit, HKS dumps, Apexi front pipe and Kakimoto N1 Full Mega exhaust.

Hks Gt-Ss For Sale
CruisingFast replied to CruisingFast's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
I had a look online and it seems these are alot better priced now thanks to our dollar. Price drop 2600 .. pm if interested. -
Hello girls and boys, I'm making way for something with a little more ginger. I've got a set of GT-SS turbos on my car that need to go. These turbos are in mint condition, wouldn't have much more than 10,000km's... Loved them on the stock motor, that was until I I had to rebuild my motor due to block damage. I'm located in Brisbane, my car is going into the shop in the next couple weeks for a full forged setup just sorting out dates now and trying for the first week after Easter. If your interested you can have them as soon as they come off. If you're interested send me a pm, chasing $2900 non neg. Turbos are in top form and never ran over 1.1bar. Cheers, Adam

Cheers, thanks for that. Yeah spoke to RHDJapan and they said the same. They are having a special at the moment. Got tein sport coiliovers for 1780 delivered. Tomei camshaft, valves and gasket for the same too.

Hi Guys, If anyone know Japanese I'm trying to get a little detail on what's included in this image. I'm looking at purchasing the Kakimoto Full Mega N1 exhaust... the problem is the dimensions aren't included. I want a 90mm pipe as I'm about to drop a forged motor in my car and want to improve the airflow. the image below has some Japanese written on it, I suspect it's just install instructions but wondered if it included the pipe size. Other Stagea exhausts are only 75mm which isn't what I'm looking for. http://image.nengun.com/catalogue/350x250/nengun-1483-02-kakimotoracing-full_mega_n1_-_premium.png

Queensland Meet And Cruise
CruisingFast replied to darrinspencer's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
The sau qld run would be cool, gtr's are my fav car, the 260 is a compromise between fun and practicality. One of each would be better. Back on topic I'm happy to do both if other stag owners aren't keen. Any other 260's going on the stag cruise? -
I have a series 1, I put some pics up last month. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Ri...hl=cruisingfast

Hey guys, A few weeks I put a thread up on here asking for some help in choosing the right size rim /wheel for my 260RS. I ended up getting a set of 19" Enkei RP03's in SBC, I found a contact through another forum and the guy who imported these for me now has a website http://jdmwheelimports.com.au The exact dimensions ended up 19X8.5 +22 Check out the Gallery from the link above for some photos I took after all the work was done. I was able to get rid of the spacers too and handling has improved dramatically - feels like a sedan now around the corners... I think I might need proper bucket seats now as the grip I'm getting now makes the corners quite savage on boost. Having the extra width and the fact they come right out to the edge of the guards has made a real difference. Anyways, the who imports alot of these rims in is Matt... we would've sent some 30 emails back and forth and he ended up finding me a set from the US (nobody else could get these in SBC anywhere) they were also cheaper than any of the current Enkei rims in AUS. A real professional, for all the time he spent talking to me and his suppliers I would highly recommend anyone else looking for rims to talk to Matt. Total cost to me imported from the US was $2200... I think these rims were close to 1K each in SBC in AUS though they are a discontinued line now here. I got my Kumho KU31's from option1garage.com.au (Brisbane based) speak to Storm.. he was great and they discounted heavily too.. a full set of 235/35's for a little over $800. Not bad when I've seen some traders selling these $480 a pop. This setup of rim and tyre has saved a fraction over 5kg's per wheel and I can feel the difference in acceleration off the mark. The folks to put this all together were Nundah Tyre Plus... they are a new store and the managers name is Michael....they spent quite a bit of time on this job too as I was working out what my options were, they only charged $180 for a full balance and wheel alignment back and front and the reports they give you at the end was a nice touch. By far the best tyre place I've been too ever and I've been to a few that I wouldn't say squat about. Anyways, been meaning to post something for a while as all the people I've given a plug too really did deserve it, if anyone around the area wants a no fuss all class service I wouldn't look past any of these guys. I've got more photos I'll get around to putting online so you can see some more angles on what has ended up being one of the best mods I've done to date.

How Much Will Tyre % Size Afect Aceleration And Speedo
CruisingFast replied to RS444's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
I just went through this myself, the best calculator I found to use was on rimsntires.com You can put in the oem specs and the ones your thinking of and it gives you the full rundown. Awesome site. -
19" Rims Vs 18" Bs Stock -?
CruisingFast replied to CruisingFast's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Doesn't look like a 9" is available in the rim I'm looking at getting. Found this website which only has 8.5" and 9.5" sizes available in the Enkei RP03. http://www.stillen.com/product.asp?id=ENKE...;c=WH&m=all The smallest offset number is 22 which given then extra .5" of rim would make it 35mm when compared to the 38mm I had. Have I worked this out right? Looking at ordering the rims this week if everything checks out okay. -
19" Rims Vs 18" Bs Stock -?
CruisingFast replied to CruisingFast's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
I've taken off one of my rims and have taken some measurements of what I had. The 18" rim is 9" wide, the offset is stamped on the inside as 38. I was thinking of going 9.5" but am starting to think sticking with a 9" would be better to save on weight on the rim and the extra rubber. Not sure if I worked out the ride height correctly but from the centre cap I measured from the floor to the top of the wheel arch which was 27", from the floor to the top of the wheel it measured 24.5" (the last figure could be out a little as I didn't have something flat to stick on top of the wheel to put against the measuring tape. From what I was told going +30 offset on a 9.5" rim would hit the suspension, that appears certain given the extra .5" is close to 13mm which together would make 43mm total (7 more than the 38 I already have). So If I get a 9" and go for a +30 offset what difference would the 8mm less have overall to whats currently fitted. I noticed the rear rim is inset more to the outside of the guard and with the front I guess a lower offset would bring this out another 8mm closer to the guard. I haven't read up on the camber parts of the equation but would imagine that 8mm difference could pose an issue if it was to rub on the outside of the front guard. I really should read up more on this stuff and not rely on other people to help with this, thanks to all who have contributed thus far. I just want to be certain I'm not going to be ordering the wrong rim as I'm sourcing these from a supplier in the US who seems to have a good stock of enkei rims which is now certain I'll be getting as all the other brands are made to order with a 10-12 week delay. -
19" Rims Vs 18" Bs Stock -?
CruisingFast replied to CruisingFast's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Oh and for anyone who wants to know where I'm getting my numbers from, I should credit the source, the calculator is from here: http://www.kouki.co.uk/utilities/visual-tyre-size-calculator I put SydneyKids number in to see what they came up, same as the stock C34 pretty much. 17 X 9 X 30 offset with 245/45/17 tyres rolling radius 204.93 cm total diameter 65.23 cm Sidewall height 11.03 cm -
19" Rims Vs 18" Bs Stock -?
CruisingFast replied to CruisingFast's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Just re read my message - was in a hurry on my way out to a touch game. The link that works.... http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/St...ons-t92233.html Also, with offset I read this from the same link above from Sydney Kid "The only Stagea S1 with 17" rims standard I have seen is the 260RS. They utilise the standard R33GTR rims (what I have on mine). They are 17 X 9 X 30 offset with 245/45/17 tyres." Does the rim manufacturer matter so much if you have a larger offset? I thought this is what helped with the caliper clearance on the brembo's. I'm looking at a couple of different options, Enkei rp03's if I can find them or maybe a set of rp05's if they aren't too exxy. The works rims have factored in a little too just waiting to hear on the above. Was thinking of going for 19" 9.5 +30 offset. What profile tyre and manufacturer/brand are you running? Does the 19" make it much harsher to drive or are they still good for giving a bit of stick around the mountains? 18" with the profiles I mentioned earlier are smooth as, very direct in the steering and just great overall in the handling... that is until you find a really tight corner and the ass starts to pull before you put your foot back into it - the extra weight through the rear and longer wheel base has nearly brought me unstuck a few times so I just want to be sure I'm not going to mess with the handling if I go 19" rims. -
Evening all, I've got a 260RS and was curious to know if anyone else out there has gone down the road of fitting a set of 19" rims? I've had a look at all the numbers and this is what I know so far from looking at the original C34 16" rights through to 18" and now 19". C34 205/60P/16" which gives a rolling radius 204.96cm's total diameter 65.24 Sidewall height 12.3 My current 18" 235/40/18" gives a rolling radius 202.7cm's total diameter 64.52 Sidewall height 9.4 Just curious to know if anyone else has done this and whether the suspension is likely to suffer with the lower profile tyre. The other thing that gets me is the C34 sticker has two sets of numbers, the lower numbers are below, to me that's saying either the front and rear are different or you can select either or tyre choice for the stock rims - the latter seems more probable but then again the BBS rims on the 260RS were different sizes too. That said I'm currently rolling on the same sized 18" wheel and tyre. Any help for someone who is trying to work things out for themselves is greatly appreciated! C34 225/50/16 I put that into a calculator and got a rolling radius 198.36cm's total diameter 63.14 Sidewall height 11.25 The C34 numbers came from here: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/St...ons-t92233.html

Guilt-toy Now Running On E85 !
CruisingFast replied to Guilt-Toy's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Afternoon all, I've been following this topic and looking forward to seeing this fuel at the pump in QLD, whenever that may be....... I came across this article today about biofuels and thought I'd share it with all. Hey Guiltoy, how's it feel to be 2years ahead of the US Military? http://www.smartplanet.com/business/blog/s...-biofuels/6274/ "A U.S. Navy-owned F/A-18 Super Hornet is the first supersonic jet with afterburners to fly on a biofuels blend." -
Hi All, I have my car in the workshop at the moment and they rang to advise the Z32 afm's and my HKS racing induction filter system doesn't line up and that they need some kind of a sleeve or adaptor to suit make all the connections. My setup is the same as the BCNR33 when it comes to aftermarket parts and accessories and just need to know where I can source one, preferably in Brisbane or if in Sydney to courier for tomorrow. I'm trying to contact some other tuning houses in the area to see if anyone has heard of these and if so where you would go to get them. If anyone knows what these are or where they can be sourced I would be so happy. Any help is appreciated and I've done loads of searches but can't find anywhere I can source these locally.

Hi Guys, I've bought some Redline lightweight for the gearbox and diff. I've done some searching but haven't been able to find the quantity I need. I have roughly 5.6 litres which I figured should be enough but if anyone reading this has done this before can you let me know if this is enough? Cheers, Adam

Impulse Buying - What Have You Bought?
CruisingFast replied to prince_skyline's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Impulse buying has been a problem for me for some time. Most of the times it's small stuff under a grand.... a couple years ago I went out to buy an exercise bike (another impuls decision) out Wacol way... had to pass all the car yards on ipswich road and on the way back we stopped to have a look at the Subaru's. I came home with an exercise bike and contract signed for a m99 WRX.... I was chuffed that I managed to get 11K trade in on a pov Hyandai Excel - I know I should never have bought one but I had no money at the time and was running very lean on the budget. For the record, the exercise bike was never used and just sat in the garage collecting dust. -
JustCars gave me the best price so far, Shannons wouldn' touch it due to the number of mods I've done. Agreed value $34,000, premium $600 annually for full comp... it would've been in the 7's though I opted to increase my excess... the figures on that depends on what you're claiming but ranges from $1000-$1400, the only thing I didn't like about the policy was no windscreen cover, not even optional.

Changing Intercoolers For 260rs
CruisingFast replied to CruisingFast's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Thanks for the headsup, I tried searching for info but couldn't find much and figured for another $300 I'll know for sure it will work and the cosmetic aspect was an afterthought....... as it was it took me a while to find somewhere that said the stock fuel pump was only good for 155 lph, which when you do the sums with the injectors being 440cc and the pump at max 99% cycle it needs just under 157lph... hence the leaning at high revs on the dyno. .44 * 6 * .99 = 2.61lpm / 156.816lph.
