  1. The car is running at the moment with the motor, stock manifolds/plenum & GT-SS turbos... The Tomei manifolds are on the way from the states and the 2530's from Japan. I'm still saving for the ID2000's and was thinking about the plenum too... I just want to do as much as I can to get the most benefits from the 2530's. With what I've spent to date a little more now with all the tuning that's to be done for the Flex fuel setup I just wanted to get everything close to where it will most likely stay for as long as it can. I really hope I didn't just blow $900 on the manifolds, I thought that was the best match for the larger 2530's to help it reach it's full potential... would Ceramic coating inside and out help with the turbo's heat shielded? And a larger plenum like the greddy is going to help with more cool air so that too should bring down the temps right? That said, atleast I still have the original manifolds and getting them port matched and ported isn't out of the question if the performance would be about the same but more durable.
  2. Hi Guys, It must be that time of the year where everyone has to spend what's left in there budgets.... so far in the month of June I've now sold the Apexi Power FC and the Bosch 040 fuel pump. The wheels where well gone but there are still some bargains to be had. The Jun RB26 Sump baffle, all shiny and new wrapped in plastic at a massive discount to what I paid for it over in Japan. $350 delivered. Bosch Z32's without adapters are selling new for $600 + shipping on ebay, mine are second hand (in good condition) and also come with the adapters for only $350 delivered. and the final quality part remaining is my Nismo N1 Oil pump, sad and alone it needs a new home $340 delivered.
  3. Hi Guys, I've searched everywhere for some clear answers and to be honest I haven't found anything that is really relevant to what I've already got and am about to do. I've tried to include a list of everything below to take out any questions around the hazy pending supporting mods line I keep reading. This might be an old topic for some but for my combination I really think I'm on the fringe here and could go either way in terms of which plenum is going to give me the best results. And what I mean by that isn't all about max HP but for best all round performance... mid to high range is def important and sacrificing a little down low isn't totally out of the question if the mid to high benifits are worth it. I should also say that the car is for street use only. (Hence the big single option wasn't one incase you're wondering why). To this point I'm trying to make a call on the big dollars of the Nismo plenum VS the Greddy (genuine).. the Plazmaman is just too expensive but if that was cheaper I would consider it if it were a better choice than the first two I mentioned. The motor is practically new with everything being built with around 8000km on it. N1 block 20 though over nitto forged pistons i beam rods nitto metal gaskets tomei oil restrictor high octane sheet metal sump extension Tomei sump baffle stock crank nitto oil pump the head is from an R34 with a mild port and polish, stock lifters and valves. Tomei Type B cams with cam baffles & hks cam gears. ATI 1000HP h-balancer I have a HKS R Type 103mm front mount with hard pipe kit and the HKS racing twin pipes & filters. stock radiator. HKS dump pipes Apexi front pipe Kakimoto Full Mega N1 exhaust - silencer removed (90mm) ------------------------------------ What is on order from Japan and the States HKS 2530's with HD HKS actuators (under 5000km use and in excellent condition). Tomei Expreme Manifolds ID2000 injectors ------------------------------------ I'm running a Haltech Platinum Pro and I already have the I/O expander with the Haltech ethanol sensor module. This will all be getting fitted and setup for E85 on a flex fuel system. I also got an AEM wifi wideband and EGT (twin sensors) which I plan on running into the Haltech to get further benefits in tuning and to better understand what the cars doing and how's it's operating when under load. I'm also going to be looking into ceramic coating the turbo housings and manifolds if the price is justified for the benefits and using a heat shield around the turbos if there's enough room to do so. I'm not going to be using the heat wrap that the Tomei expreme includes as I've read that it can halve the life of them and lead to cracks appearing in the manifold due to the metal 'crystallizing'. I currently have GT-SS on at the moment making 335kw atw with stock intake/plenum & manifolds. The motor is built strong so running higher boost wont be an issue. From what I've been able to gather the Nismo plenum is rated to 600ps... I'm pretty confident I should be getting more than that with what I've listed above and that the Greddy might be the better option with the mods I'm looking at using. I'd just like to hear from some others out there who know a little more about this than I do. I'm also aware the fuel system is going to need some attention, I have a Nismo pump at the moment and have had one suggestion that the Walbro 400lph intank might just be enough to get the job done. If anyone has any thoughts or suggestions on which way to go I'd like to hear from you. I've read alot of different opinions out there with many contradictions.... any clarity you can bring to this decision would be well appreciated. I'll also post up the results of how everything goes when she goes under knife again. I know this question was asked a while back regarding the AEM wideband/egt wifi sensors and nobody out there was using these... I'll let everyone know how this goes too. For those who haven't crossed paths with these they send the live data via wireless network which you can connect to via anything with an internet browser ie) Laptop, iFads & phones etc. No fixed gauges FTW! I plan on using my Android phone for the wideband/egts which will be fixed with velcro where I used to mount my FC Hand controller.
  4. Hi Guys, It's been a good couple years since I did one of these... is there any 260rs's coming to this one? Is it okay if another mate comes along with his GTR? I've done some pretty substantial changes since I last took her out on a Stagea cruise.... new forged motor and a new ride height. Something I didn't know and for anyone else with a Series 1 260RS... we have the same interior too as the Series 3 R33 GTR (also released around the same time). I discovered this when I looked inside my mates car to see the exact same upholstery.
  5. Take $50 of the items above, all items are now well below cost and are in new or excellent condition.... grab a bargain. Everything except for the wheels is still available. I need this stuff gone.
  6. Wheels have been sold. If anyone is after any of the other parts I'm willing to take $20 off these already cheap prices... all prices include shipping to anywhere within Australia except for any of you guys who live on an island like Tasmania.....only kidding, you two headed folk are alright for free shipping too
  7. Hi Guys, I'm clearing out alot fo stuff from my garage. Some of these parts are brand new in boxes and others are second hand either from my car or where once destined but never installed. Take a look below for what I have on offer. If any of these parts interest you I can be reached on 0402 101 939. All parts (except for the wheels) include shipping to anywhere in Australia. I live in the Brisbane CBD area and am happy to allow for pickup, parking is also available. If the wheels interest you and your from out of state I would be happy to deliver to any Brisbane based mail/courier depot as organised by yourself. JUN RB26 Sump baffle Brand new in box I originally purchased these for a motor rebuild that never eventuated. These are more expensive than any other on the market and the build quality and workmanship matches the price. My loss is your gain. $400 Apexi Power FC R32/R33 GTR with Handcontroller This was installed in my car and was only removed due to me changing to a Link. $800 Bosche Z32's with adapter cables These afm's are good for 350kw + packages, I bought these 2nd hand on SAU though never had them fitted to me car, I ended up going MAP with the link instead. No visible damage or holes in the mesh. $400 Bosche 040 Fuel pump, brand new never opened I never needed this fuel pump in the end, turned out my pump was fine for the power I was running and I already had a Nismo in tank fuel pump which I wasn't aware of until it was checked out. $200 NISMO N1 Oil pump This was fitted to a short motor I bought that was removed due to fitting a NITTO oil pump instead. The seller told me it was new though it does have some wear and I'm not 100% if that was only due to it being fitted to the short motor. $390 18" Luftdrag rims & rubber (+38 offsett) These where the original rims fitted to my car, I had a puncture on one wheel shortly after I had new rubber fitted. The rubber I have is on 3 wheels only, they are Sumitomo HTR Z 3's 235/40 ZR18. The rims don't have any gutter rash, there are some light surface scratches though they clean up really nice with a polish and look great. I changed up to a 19" Enkei after I had the puncture. I doubt these tyres have lost more than 5% of wear from being fitted. $800 Thanks all for taking a look, if you want to know anymore on any of this please call or message me directly.
  8. The AUTECH 260RS versions all had custom paint resprays after being released as C34's from factory... I can't find anything online on what the codes where, I'll check the build plates to see if anything is there. Going to ring JustCars to see what they have to say, the guy was insured with Suncorp but there is no chance in hell I'll be using any of there cheap recommended repairers.
  9. Hi Guys, On the weekend I had some punk hit me in the ass in a Rodeo.... I was at a complete stop 6 deep in traffic and luckily had just got of the break to take off when this 19 year old forgot to look where he was going. No structural damage just the paint on the rear bumper has been mashed a little with a few cracks and the smudging of his number plate leaving a little maroon over the panel. I have a 260RS Series 1 which looks white or silver depending on what light your in. If anyone knows what the paint code/type is for this I need to get some quotes for repair. If you know anyone who is capable of fixing this in the Brisbane area let me know. There are some pics of my car in this album linked below if the colour isn't familiar. Super fine hardcoat is about all I know at this stage. http://s642.photobucket.com/albums/uu146/xboxmodchip/
  10. Run in? What did you have done to your motor? I'm getting off my run in tune shortly, done about 3500 k's with 3 oil drops and retune in between.... the first rebuild I had done a few months back was a complete failure... tuner blamed builder, builder blamed tuner.... lost some serious coin there, 17K later and I'm looking forward to getting a full tune done... booked in for the 16th Jan. I'm keen too, just sort out the dates... if it's getting into Feb I'm at risk. Got my first child coming around the middle of Feb.
  11. I would be keen on lakeside, a definate no for me on Ipswich.
  12. You can get a pretty good setup for under 2K. I got top range Polk 6" front and back with splits + sound deadening and amp. The sound is really crisp and it has plenty of down low, if you want everyone to hear what your listening to then add a sub so you can take the bass away from the speakers otherwise you don't need it.
  13. Hi Guys, I'm selling a brand new JUN sump baffle in box. There's a good reason why these cost more than the Tomei and other baffles on the market, the quality and workmanship is top notch. If you havn't seen what they look like check it out here. These are currently going for more than $600 delivered from Japan. I'm looking for $500 inc postage to anywhere in AU. If anyone is interested please PM or text me on 0402 101 939. Keep an eye out for some more quality parts I'll be listing shortly. I have a new RB26 Nismo N1 Oil pump , new Bosch 040 fuel pump, s/h pair of Z32's with connector cables, s/h Nismo air box with K&N filter & some 18" rims. Just need to get some pictures sorted for the rest and I'll be posting them up in the next 24. Cheers, Adam
  14. I've noticed alot more of this sh1t happening of late and made me start thinking about GPS tracking options. Has anyone got a GPS tracker fitted? I've seen a bunch of cheap units on eBay that don't have the subscription service fees... made in china so not so sure if they're any good. I think this is about the only hope one would have at finding there car again. That said, you would need to hide it pretty good and have battery backup so they can't disable it too easy.
  15. Hi guys, This is something I've been thinking about for putting in my car for a while now, does anyone have any experience with the AEM wifi based wideband and egt sensor? X-WiFi Wideband UEGO and EGT Wireless Gauge Controller Apparently this works with all wifi enabled devices. http://www.aemelectronics.com/x-wifi-wideband-uego-and-egt-wireless-gauge-controller-1158
  16. Are you on the road dude? I'm going out this evening, meeting a mate inner city with a GTR.. going to be heading out of the city after that. PM if interested and I'll pass on time and place. I should be off the run in tune in a little over a week should I get the k's in over the weekend.
  17. Yeah I remember reading that and originally asked for this but then the Whiteline rep said it would understeer (my bad before saying over) like a pig. Hearing others have gone 24 and found it to be okay gives me a reason to think that maybe the rep was wrong. I know they are competitors but as it turned out Fulcrum where installing my Japanese supplied Tein kit and I got them to order in the other bits to have it all done at one place. As it turned out the bars didn't arrive in time and they're the only things I'm waiting to have installed. I have two 22mm front and rear ready to go but if the general consensus of 24 is the better option I might try and sell the 22 I have and get a 24 ordered in instead. I want everything to be the best it can be so if 22mm rear isn't as good then I'd definitely change it up.
  18. Hey guys, My name is Adam and I'm kinda new to these forums... never really looked at the QLD forums until now. Just wanted to say hi and check if you guys do any cruises at all. I drive a 260RS myself which has a few mods and got another mate who's keen who has a GTR.
  19. <div><br></div><div>Hey just checking if anyone else has the 24mm on the rear. I've already ordered a set of 22 front and rear and was advised by Fulcrum that the they had spoken to Whiteline and they said to stay away from the 24mm as it would oversteer like a pig. Plus with the 22 you can adjust the hardness in this and it would let you get a setup that would provide the best all round cornering machine.</div>
  20. Yeah I might have to put those other plans on hold for a little while, I'm broke now and have about 6 weeks left in my current contract. I also found out the other week I'm going to be a dad too so I need to inject some funds into the girl dept and put a ring on her finger. Thankfully the market is really good at the moment in IT so I shouldn't have any problems getting another job at the end of next month.
  21. Not enough power for me just yet, before I did the rebuild it was pushing 280, my original goals where somewhere closer to 350 and I might get close time will tell. Though reading up on these BW EFR turbos I am starting to think a set of 6258 twin high mounts would be even better with potential for 450+. The twin plate and nismo diffs are taking some getting used to, its grippy as all hell and loads of fun to drive up in the hills. It doesn't feel like the boosted barge anymore in the handling dept, I also did some suspension work getting the Tein Superflex wagon and some other bits and pieces through Fulcrum. The Kakimoto full mega N1 exhaust sounds awesome and the cams are lumpy.... looking forward to getting the full tune and taking it out to Lakeside. I think there's something on at the end of August... will definitely be hitting that up, I got a Nitto oil pump and high octane sump extension too so I could safely track the car.
  22. What kind of power are you putting down now? I'm still stuck on a run in tune, getting 250 awkw running 12 pounds. Will try and make it out Saturday (if Im not too hungover from a party Im going to Friday).
  23. I went over Mt Mee on the weekend... it has a couple red light single lane sections, there were a few other spots where the edges of the road had some damaged asphalt though no big pot holes or anything... was a nice drive, some good windy roads up that way.
  24. Hoping that the dates change, the 1st and 2nd Oct is AFL/NRL grandfinal weekend... I love my cars but footy grandfinal weekend will always win. I'll keep an eye out and hopefully the date is moved to the 16th so I can make the drive down from Brisbane.
  25. Thanks guys for the feedback. I've had some adjustments made to the clutch and diffs which has made things easier. The clutch engages lower now in the pedal and is easier getting out smoothly from a stop. The heavy steering and vibration feeling I was getting when turning was actually the diffs binding up which they're meant to do.. it definitely feels different though I don't think it will take that long to get used to everything.
