  5. well i think P platers shouldn't drive high powered cars ... the amount of accidents including P platers and fast cars is no random accident ...
  6. yeah u just need a sub and front speakers ... get a 4 channel amp and bridge 2 for a sub ... regarding splits ... i've had a couple of good splits ... top of the range JL and some focals... they're very good ... but to be honest for the high cost it isn't really worth it if your budget is tight ... u can get some good coax which is also easier to install .. u dont' have to mess around with the tweeters ... consider that ...

  15. oh yeah freigt to interstate is extra for about 8 bucks to almost anywhere in australia.
  16. i have for sale a number of AOC monitors which I am selling at cost price cause I have over bought. Each monitor sold on SAU I will give a donation of 10 bucks to SAU. The monitor is an AOC 721 which can be seen here: http://www.anz.aocmonitor.com/monitors_lm721.htm All monitors come with 3 years on site warranty. Panels used are from AU optronic which is what benq and many top brands use. Pixel warranty is the industry standard 3 dead or 3 dark pixels or combination of 5. However if requested and bought then i could turn it on and check the screen myself. That would require me to open it up and turn it on for the first time. All monitors are still brand new and never been turned on before. The price is set at 360 bucks!!! 10 bucks from each lcd monitor goes to SAU Thanks guys
  17. ohlins ... some of the best you can get!!! these things would easily cost over 1k a corner!!!! what a bargain price!!! free bump
  18. 300 rpm increments for safc2 whereas safc1 is only 500, few extra features are knock sensors and a few other things from memory ... very cheap tuning option ... great product for little price.
  19. i used to use 95 all the time cause i was a cheapie .. i actually found it to be more economical than 98 ... power felt pretty much the same
  20. mb quarts are very good ... but i haven't heard them ... they are extremely popular in the USA
  21. umm actually i think some of u guys have the wrong impression about sound installs ... tweeters that are placed high up aren't in the best possible spot ... the spot next to the A pillar is easy to do, i used to have mine there, but if u notice, depending on the tweeter, it can sound harsh to very harsh, and the seperation distance from the woofer would not offer you the best sound. however if you place your tweeter there and it sounds ok then i guess you shoudlnt' change it. The best possible placing is to be as close as you can to the woofer, and also the speakers should be as far as possible to the listener which is why alot of professional installs get done in the kickpanel because thats really as far as u can get the front staging of the install to be. however its a big ask cause its very hard to do. So when i installed my sound system again when i had the skyline, i just cut a hole in the door panel and put the tweeter there, to me it sounded better cause the very high frequencies werent' so dominant anymore. just my opinion.
  22. i don't know about u guys, but has anyone noticed how young these guys were? ... some even unlicensed (was that a stolen car?)?? its so clearly an education and mentality thing.... why dont' people recognise that? no law will change what people think, only education will.
  23. shit man?? farkin hell ..
  24. This isn't really the place to debate but ... isn't the issue here education? it wasn't the high powered cars decision to go that fast, it was the kids. He thought it was ok to do that when it wasn't, and he paid the price. Now if he had known maybe this wouldnt' have happened. IMHO i think that power restrictions for P platers isn't a bad thing, driving comes with experience and no P plater will have the experience to handle even a normal car at high speed. However power restrictions are just a quick fix, kids will eventually get high powered cars and the only way is to make them learn the consequences so further education is the only option. You can't argue that we shouldnt' have high powered cars because if u look at the media, what do u see advertised? high powered holdens and fords ... RIP to all those that passed away.
