I have a spare Battlefield Heroes Beta key if anyone wants it. Is anyone else playing it? I can play for 4 minutes, then I get kicked due to 'connection issues'. But my net and everything still work fine. One guy on the forums guesses that all of the beta severs are in the USA (which would make sense), and we are getting massive packet loss here - so after 'x' amount f packets have been sent and cropped by my PC, the game senses I have connections issues, even though I really don't. Anyone else playing and have this issue? Damn cool game though - and the customisation of clothing/weapons/skills is a very cool concept..

Nope, but spotted a newish 4wd with internal speed camera parked on the edge of the road hiding behind the South Road overpass on the Port Expressway, and a Hilux or similar about 1km down on the other side of the road with camera. I didn't know the sneaky buggers put them in 4wds and Hiluxs!

Came across these pics from the Mt Alma Hillclimb today (and no, I didn't go ) Poor S15 - can anyone say uninsured/race accident write-off?

I'm going to pop on down and say hi to the peeps.

Sorry mate, it is a shocking idea. Sell the car and buy a GTT. The costs you come across to do the whole package are staggering, and you will NEVER get it engineered and through Regency. There is a very simple reason why almost no-one does it - the lengths you need to go to to do it is simply nonviable (have you thought about the need to change your rotors/calipers/brakes, transmission {which is not built to take the power} and your diff {also not built to take the power}).

^^^ The R34 Neo turbo is by far the most responsive turbo of any Nissan oem turbo, as it has a lightweight nylon impeller. If you were going to change to a Series 2 R33 turbo expecting less lag, you would be very sorely disappointed.

Sounds like a light angle grind on each side then a shifter spanner or locking pliers Dave. Works a treat!

Did they let you drive it away from there? When I changed over rego at Regency on my old MX6 in 2002 they gave me a razor blade and told me to get the tint off on the spot, else get a tow.

I drove Munro's Evo 8 when it was brand spanking new and it really didn't inspire me .... and looked like a chick's car .... yawn At the end of the day it is STILL a lancer

Jarlsberg is my current favourite Carl .... Red Leicester a close second

yep you summed it up perfectly Rhys. It is such a shame that the massive Labor scaremongering campaign (to use Ben's word) worked on the stupid Aus public so well. Their assertions (always backed up by the media) that Howard would retire during his next term put a massive scare in the populous. For a reason I cannot fathom a lot of people don't like Costello, as they think he smirks too much and has shifty eyes - but have you had a look at the duchebag they voted in instead? Always with a stupid grin on his face. I firmly believe had Howard stepped down a year before the election and let Costello hold the reins for a while, Costello would have easily won people over, and they would have won easily. Let's face it, Costello has had a huge hand in running the country for the past decade anyhow, and his ideals are firmly in-line with all the awesome work Howard did to bring us into the 21st century. Now we have 2 clowns that wander around smacking heads, trying desperately to figure out how to run things. And giving away some free cash to put the country out of a $5bn surplus into a $40bn debt within 18 months is the best they can come up with? Sheesh. We are in for a very shitty next few years - mark my words. What have they really achieved since coming into power Ben? How is that 'laptop for every child' promise going? How is the national Broadband network going? How are cheaper grocery prices going? How is the 'fuel watch' program going? Need I say more?

My God Ben your opinions are scary. Howard has led Australia through the most prosperous 12 years in the nations existence. In fact I am willing to bet everything I have that were Labor in power for the last 12 years we would be in a VERY different future right now. It is unarguable that Australia is faring as one of the best ecomonically and socially in the world right now. Go to Japan and look at their economy right now. Or America with no jobs, collapsed property market, no dole, no free health care. Now some of Australia's current affluence is off the back of a strong (particularly developing) world economy, but most of it is through brilliant initiatives and strong economic planning and leadership. He was instrumental in writing the Work Choices policy, which yes, from a purely blue collar perspective did limit worker's powers and take away some penalty rates, but if Howard had won the election, and Work Choices fully implemented, thousands of factories that are heading offshore (Bonds, Hard Yacka, Holden etc etc) would have stayed in Australia providing tens of thousand of jobs. Under Krudd these jobs are LONG GONE NEVER TO COME BACK. How are these people going to pay their mortgages? With a couple of free handouts? Prolong the suffering, yes, but solve anything, NO. Mandatory detention. Would you rather have the govt let tens of thousand of ILLEGALS wander Australia? Had Liberals not taken a hard stance against ILLEGALS, word would have spread throughout the world and every man and his dog would have been trying to illegally enter Australia. In fact you will find that under Howard we have had a record high amount of both skilled labour and politically oppressed migrants enter the country via legal options. How the hell could you condone not locking up people who COME HERE ILLEGALLY ON FISHING VESSELS? Are you mad? Children overboard had nothing whatsoever to do with Howard. It had all to do with Labor driven political media scaremongering and absolute lies. Did Howard push children into the water? NO. Did he order Naval officers to do it? NO. Did hundreds of ILLEGAL border crossers pack into an unseaworthy boat that sank? YES. Did Aus Navy officers rescue the whole lot? YES. I don't understand the issue here. Had Aus Navy not been there, the whole boat load of people would have drowned. How is this a blight on Howard? Now WMDs are a no-brainer. 1). Back up your allies - we did not have a choice - this is what allies do. 2). Had the world not taken action against suspicion of WMDs, when clearly Hussein et al would not let weapons inspectors enter sites/regions etc. then clearly the world 'police' is not doing it job. What did Hussein have to hide? If no-one had taken action and a chemical weapon used on another country what would you be saying then? You would be screaming blue murder they should have done something. *shakes head*

God Damn I am sick of hearing about this stimulus bs .... you dickheads had better not vote for this assclown next time cos he gave out free money .... when he bankrupts the country and loses you all your jobs you will be begging to give the cash back and resurrect the economy .... /end rant

Sorry guys I gotta disagree. Despite my sci-fi heritage all of the BSG series bore me to tears - I can't even make it though a whole episode .... I actually wish I did like it, as most of my geek friends are into it

^^^ Of all the weekends for the lads to book a footy trip .... Still - 4 games of footy to watch and some poker at The Crown can't be all bad

yeah I hadn't even thought of Allanah's parents place. We should give it a try! Is the water fairly clear (suitable for spinners/lures) or dirty (better suited to yabbies and worms)?

I caught and ate one for dinner on Friday night at Waikerie - darn good eating too! Used to catch dozens up there when I was a kid, but are quite rare these days - making a come-back in recent years though due to carp eradication programs - have only started catching them again in the last year or so after 15 years of not catching any. Yes, if anyone has a nice dam on their property up in the hills I am keen-as to come pull some out!!!!
