^^^ $100 per week = $5,200 a year x 7 years = $36,400 EEK. Especially given your R32 will be worth in the vacinity of $5 in another 6 years! Ouch.

yeah I agree with you to some point Kahli, but facts are: 1) the majority of ns.com ppl are P platers or quite young. Fact: young people are more likely to be stupid and/or have an accident. I know I was a testosterone-filled idiot every time I got behind the wheel of a car when I was young. 2) unlike Kellie's (and the majority of SAU cruises - of which I have organised many) cruises, the groups are often massive and disorganised. This too can lead to major problems. 3) there is no control over what type of cars go on ns.com cruises, and fact is crappy old corollas, lasers, falcodores etc should not be on a cruise with high performance Skylines - as you get slow people holding up the fast people and causing major problems, and increasing the likelyhood of the high performance drive doing something dangerous in a passing manouvre out of frustration. I have had this happen to me on EVERY ns.com cruise I have been on. 4) there is no control over who goes on ns.com cruises - one I went to many of the Adelaide commondore club rocked up and proceed to go on the cruise and cause havoc. They had been invited by a random ns.com member. Another cruise some toolbag in a PT cruiser with some insane stereo in it proceeded to pump the stereo up to 10 in the Newton Shopping Centre carpark at 10pm - subesquently the cops showed up, blocked off all entrances and proceeded to defect many of the cars in the carpark and some ppl had to wait up to 4 hours in line to leave. Not cool. 4) plain and simple, there is some form of accident on pretty much every ns.com cruise. I have been on many, and seen many accidents - including cars rolled, t-boned and signs taken out. Yes, all of these things can happen on any cruise, but it seems to happen on ns.com cruises a lot. This is why I choose to associate with SAU these days (and even rarely cruise anyhow). Ns.com can be fun, and it is a cool group for younger people who want to let their hair down, but most of the SAU community are a lot older (and wiser), so our cruises tend to be much safer - and the fact there have been almost no accidents or incidents is testament to that. I am far from perfect, and have even misbehaved on ns.com and SAU cruises before, but there is a time and place for everything. The past is very different from our reputations today with the police and the general public. Misbehaving on a cruise these days is a big no-no. I haven't been on an ns.com cruise for over 2 years now, so maybe it has changed. Somehow I don't think so. /end rant

he was given a week holiday for going on and on about it, and for being a smartass. Being a part of SAU (and a driver on the road for that matter) is a privilege - not a right. The reason why SAU cruises are so successful and safe in general, and Kellie's in particular, is because they are not a ns.com free-for-all with drifting/burnouts/hoon behaviour etc. People who behave like this are not welcome, and he has been told so. I don't see a problem with that. People who whinge about people objecting to their driving behavior on such a cruise, and then cause multiple people to PM me about their online behavior (including talking about drifting on public roads), get a little holiday from the forums to think about their behavior. I don't see a problem with that either. This is definitely not a Nazi regime, but people who won't play by the rules can go play elsewhere. Easy as that.

You all just managed to save your asses - I was just about to get out the ban stick Nathan did not avoid the ban stick though - he gets a 1 week holiday from the forums for being a smartass and annoying so many people. Everyone just settle down and behave, and we can all get along. Tangles, thankyou for your unreserved apology to Kellie - very big of you. You were a bit harsh. Sucks you have been sacked mate - can you take action against them? And as I reiterated to Nathan, people can, will and HAVE been banned from Kellie's cruises. I have to agree with her stance here - she is the one who has gone to the trouble of inviting people, keeping people informed, working out and printing route maps, dealing well with cops, etc etc. What she says goes in my opinion, and will be giving anyone else who behaves poorly a forum holiday too. puts on Cartman's voice Respect my authoritahhhhh /end Cartman

JDM032's posts deleted and I gave him a 1 week holiday from the forums for being a smartass.

^^^ ah I had noticed of late that your car is not parked at Holden Hill anymore
-
yeah you will finance a bit hard to get as soon as you mention you are forking the cash over to some unknown entity overseas, in the hope that they will send you a car. If I was you I'd get a personal loan and say it is for a holiday Yes, like Reuben, I bought my R34 for cash - didn't have to worry about a loan then
-
also remember that to bring home $52k you actually have to have a wage in the order of $70k before tax. So looking at it in that light, it is a more decent prize.

^^ lol I was just going to post 'didn't anyone tell you to NEVER park your Skyline at the Plaza?' .... you beat me to it Damo

I know It's not something I would normally advertise .... but she is from Taperoo - she can't help it! Haha if you actually went along Pete, you would nearly double their weekly attendances OK, so I will have a look at the calendar and nail down a game/day/time this week and start a new post. Obviously this really only applies to guys off here that I know, as I don't want every Tom, Dick or Harry wandering through my house.
-
yeah if anyone has a DVD copy of the 91 and 92 races, I would love to acquire a copy. My house is available for some 8-ball, beer, bbq and 91/92 Bathurst - just got to pick an afternoon or evening when Port Power are playing at home - as the wife goes to the footy and we can have the house to ourselves Love this clip - Brocky stalling on the start grid - gold. Check out the lead the Skylines and Cosworth have after just 2 laps! Bathurst '92

Shaun (MXTC) was trying to sell a set - not sure if he got rid of them or not. Otherwise Iceduck used to have a set in his shed - not sure if he still has them or not - and haven't seen him on the forums for aaaaages .... PM both of them and see how u go

^^^ WTF??????????? I strongly assume you mean V35 - not R35GTR.
-
^^^ haha nice pick-up - I didn't notice. Why do people feel they can ever park in disabled parks? Do you choose to drive on the wrong side of the road just because there is no car in it at that moment?
-
^^ that pic was taken at about 11pm by a Canon EOS 300D with 8 second shutter speed at ISO-1600 ^^ that one is a 56 second exposure at ISO-100

OUCH Imagine having your baby rear-ended and written off after just 252km
-
yep count me in Luke. I am sure David would be keen too.
-
hey mate, I have a set of R33 stockies sitting here - 1 of the tyres is just below legal, but the other 3 are legal - so you would need to chuck some legal rubber on 1 of them. A 2nd handie to put on it wouldn't cost much. You are welcome to borrow them for a carton of decent beer
-
actually open up the case and check the motherboard number and revision, then make sure you get the correct driver versions. I have never had a board I couldn't get working before. Make sure you get the correct os drivers.
-
yeah Shaun has been around on the forums nearly as long as me .... damn I am old Hehe all 20 or so of the forum members in 2002 used to meet down the Glenelg Mitre 10 and cruise most weekends .... those were the days of no defect stations, no police attention, and a nice mature group with no accidents or the bs that goes along with many cruises these days (Kellie's cruises excluded, of course).

Some of the old beast: My fave of the R34:
-
yeah ZOMFG. I have used BP Ultimate in my 200rwkw S15 and 230rwkw R34 for around 5 years now and never has a single problem. When this 'wonderful' Vmax came out, I thought I would try it out. My car pinged so farken hard the first time I gave it a little, I siphoned the whole tank out, threw the shite away, and went and filled up at BP. And yes, Pete couldn't be more spot on with his analysis. The price of fuel is triggered by a 1,350% price increase in crude from 1998 and now. Yes that's right kids - crude cost US$10 a barrel in 1998! Current price is around US$135 per barrel, compared with US$88 per barrel 1 year ago. Current forecast for 1 years time is $174 per barrel Regarding the email this topic is about (which I got from at least 10 uninformed people), if the whole of Australia never bought a single barrel of oil again, it would have zero affect on the world market for oil, as the whole of Australia's consumption would not even appear as a blip on their radar. But, yes, as pointed out, there most certainly is a lot of collusion that goes on between Aus oil companies .... boycotting one company's fuel would do absolutely jack ....

^^^ ah cool, thanks for clearing that up old wise one Yeah come to think of it Monday was a private track day.

^^^ since when is that Darren? Last 2 times I took the S15 out for a public day they had 3 different sessions for 3 different vehicle classes. Don't they do that anymore?
