  1. These wheels still around, thinkin of droppin from 18" to 17" on the 34. What you think? Maybe we can do a swap, what area you in I'll be in melb in 2 weeks.
  2. it's easy to flush yourself, try using the red coolant, it might be a bit more expensive than the green though and take off the overflow bottle and flush that out as well.
  3. Could be for sorrento, I took my car to mitsubishi heidleburg once but I might try nissan next since I have a nissan now. I do the servicing myself, just needed to get new disc's put on and a driveshaft boot replaced.
  4. I put a drift one from autobarn and it seals up the same as the std one where as the K&N didn't have the same seals in the corners. Just keep the panel filters clean every oil change. I prefer the panel setup to pod setup in a std engine setup but thats just me. I also added a cold air intake to the std airbox as it already had a funnel which was plugged (restricted from nissan) leading into a hole in the side inner guard.
  5. Actually he should use 2 pots as the gearbox oil would be different heh I always start the car up and then by the time I've loaded up all my things its been about 2 or 3 minutes but I never let it idle over 5 minutes. It's no good to idle an engine, even at traffic lights where you wait for ages and the oil pressure drop. I'll blip the throttle in them cases. Also taxis last forever not cause the engines are never stopped, its cause the engine oil is always Warm.
  6. Go with the Nismo, for sure you'll have more time enjoying your ride albino boy
  7. I get paranoid about the oil but I usually leave the car for a few months with 3g done on the oil so I just flush it before I drive it. And no, don't warm it up before you flush it, drain it cold and pour some fresh oil with the sump plug off. All the oil from the head would of drained down in the 3 months for sure Not sure what to do about the car cover in the sun and rain but if you get a $50+ cover like mine it's made with fabric on the inside so it won't stick to your paintwork. I leave mine garaged though. Just get a decent cover over $50 thats a waterproof fabric material and your paintwork will be fine. If you put wax on it for sure your paint work will be affected in the sun. Disconnect the battery, take it out and leave it somewhere warm and dry. Leave the car with as little fuel as possible and plug up the exhaust. Make sure the car's clean before you cover it.
  8. I put in Pennrite 10-40 to try in the car when I bought it last month. Engine temp was around 80-90 but it was winter at the time when driving. Think I'll try Motul next, Repsol for sure is great stuff and obviously Elf as we and all other teams use all three brands in our bikes which are always on the limiter. Not sure how easy it is to get repsol in oz but will look into this. Might try caltex havoline one day too as I heard its not bad.
  9. Wish I read this thread a month ago too, but anyway as long as it's not stolen and goes good I'm happy. Might wanna check the wear on the gear knob while checking the seat and steering wheel or bring some verniers to measure the disc thickness as that says a Lot too! Mine were worn 2mm under the recommended thickness
  10. I did my gtr34 last month but used the std airbox as it has a plugged up funnel(from factory) leading into a hole in the inner left guard. I unplugged it when I first got the car and the induction noise was a lot louder and in the high rpm range it would pick up a little quicker. Later I removed the std funnel and made the hole a little bigger as it lead down to the left side intercooler hose air vent. I shoved a adjustable pvc hose in the airbox rooting that towards the vent next to the intercooler hose. I put a drift panel filter in the std airbox and took off the std intake which locates at the top of the airbox which made more induction noise and now it has 2 hole to breathe from. I'm glad nissan made it a bit easier with the r34 by setting up a funnel to a hole in the engine bay but plugged it to restrict the car for the owner to unplug it if they wanted. With a inverted carbon bonnet which lets hot air out like on the z tune, this would make taking off the top air intake on the std airbox a lot more benificial. But I'm not sure if the z tune roots a pipe from the side panel i down to the lower bumper side vent.
  11. gee them nismo led rear lights are 2g, thats quite expensive compared to an aftermarket $200 set. i'll be back in oz at the end of month so if you still got them around i'll pick them up
  12. Hey found out today I'll be coming back earlier, do you still have 4 245/45 r18's I'm keen on them
  13. Do you think you'll still have some tyres left in dec or is this a one off thing, I'm really interested but won't be back in the country till early dec.
  14. very nice rims, i'd get them if they were the same size cause they'd suit purple perfectly
  15. I really want them led lights, are they nissan OEM, where are you located?
