  1. Spoke to Ross - cost is $300 for RB25 & $350 for RB26. Half of that is pretty much just the cost of the paint... PM me for his details - he can do polishing as well & he coats all polished surfaces with a clear lacquer so it doesn't tarnish or need re-polishing:D I gotta set some of my polished bits done this way cos they lose their shine over time. Gav - the catch can is from JMS. I hear you are building a bit of a parts collection here in Perth so you may as well add that to the list;)
  2. Got Ross to paint my engine covers. Check it out - pitty about all the mess around the engine:rolleyes: Was well worth the money - let me know if you want his details:D
  3. Still for sale. Spoke to Danny & he said to give him a call on 0409 689 624
  4. $1200 - you gotta be kidding. That's robbery - I would go to another tuner
  5. Mine does the same - got me stuffed so I might just hoik the hicas altogether:D When yours does it, do you find sometimes that the steering becomes heavier, even if it is at low speeds? Aside from the fluid being low, the other main problem seems to be related to the "disc" in behind the steering wheel being faulty - do a search on hicas & you should find some more info
  6. Awesome news Liz - made me smile, thanks:D
  7. Thanks for the ideas, but alas they are not the reason for my problem... Surely with all the PowerFC owners out there someone is using the boost control unit - how is it working for you?
  8. Ok - I got a PowerFC & the add-on boost control on my GTR. I have blocked off & removed the factory boost solenoid & connected the pfc solenoid between the pipe that comes off the bottom of the plenum (at the back) & the pipe that feeds the actuators. This is in line with what the manual suggests & with what I was told to do by a local workshop that has some experience with these items. The issue is that I cannot get it to hold boost - boost is inconsistent, it spikes, is different in different gears & is slow to come on (compared to the basic bleed valve setup that I was using). I have tried all sorts of setups with target boost & duty cycle without success... Can anyone tell me what I may be doing wrong? Do you know how long it takes to get the unit to learn boost as maybe I haven't let it do this for long enough? Any help appreciated.
  9. Sumo - check the thread about the service manual in the maintenance section of the forum. I downloaded it & it's got the lot:uh-huh:
  10. Nice work Mark - gotta love those turbs eh? I managed 415rwhp but could not hold boost very well. Still using stock cooler & afms but otherwise same mods. What are you using for boost control? Got powerfc boost control but thing wont work for me...
  11. Nice stuff mate - that motor is making some great power:uh-huh:
  12. Cam - PM rev210 - he's got a turbo for sale at a good price if I recall
  13. Brendan, I'd stick my hand up but...I can't drive well enough to compete at this stage. Maybe next year.
  14. I will vouch for the ecu - I made 370rwhp with it & didn't make much more with a PowerFC... Don't know what Mines do with these ecu's but they seem to work damn well. Good luck with the sale mate:D
  15. Jezzrrr - I think you'll find that once you add frieght you will be paying more. Then add the risk of getting hit with gst & customs duties (which seems to be happening far too often at the moment) & you will wish you had bought these ones. My 2c worth. GTS500 - wish I had the cash as I would buy them off you myself...
  16. You were lucky that the turbo lasted as long as it did - stock R32 GTR turbos should not be run any higher than 14psi from what I have been told. You can run higher boost on a stock motor (presently running around 20psi) but depending on the condition of the motor & quality of your tune it is also getting into the danger zone.
  17. 1. Not sure - but before I upgraded the one in my car I had around 275rwkw. 2. No idea unfortunately. 3. Don't mind where you are from - I wont hold it against you:bahaha:
  18. Good thanks Denver Saw you in a video today - driven to oblivion - remember that one?
  19. Hi ppl:D Just chiming in for a sec if that's ok?
  20. 1. The car is 1993. 2. Not sure how many k's cos the speedo has been changed for a Nismo unit which shows just over 10,000k's. 3. All parts are in good condition & were working fine - the only reason they are not still being used is that the owner decided that 320hp atw was not enough, so now he's gonna try & double it:bahaha:
  21. Thought that might be the case GTR STI. I would buy the DJetro but I don't know anyone who's used/tuned them here in Perth as yet. btw - you're right - it will be a cheap buy for somebody!
