  1. I think if they are getting past immobilisers so easily, then a GPS or remote kill isn't going to do much either, as they'll probably find a way to stop the tracking and also cut off remote cabling for the kill switch. You really just have to hope that your car isn't the one chosen by the thieves, because if they have any brains in them then they will get around anything you do to it, unless ofcourse you make your own special system designed by yourself. I once knew a friend that had a system where he had to swipe a magnet past his door lock, then swipe it over his radio before finally swiping it infront of the ignition before the car would be completely ready to drive without alarms going off or immobilisers working. He said that the system was designed so that you had to use a magnet and couldn't cut cabling or the alarm would go off straight away and he would get a text to his phone immediately notifying him. He was a very technology savvy guy though, and he was driving a Maserati with heavy mods, so he really put some months of work into the system, it's never let him down and he says he has gotten texts a few times to warn him someone was trying something and when he went to check the car, they had given up and he just did the magnet swipe to shut off the alarm. Its a shame he cant go into mass production with them though, otherwise the system would be figured out...
  2. Love the new wheels, definitely a better look than the ones you have on there now. I think I saw this car at Northshore Dyno for that Boostbitz dyno day a while ago, looks great
  3. The sub is being bridged on the amp, the set up only has front speakers, no rears. I know it seems incomplete that way, but its a very good set up and sounds clear with enough bass from the sub that I really didn't wanna bother getting rears. Wouldn't be much in the way of photos, the door speakers are covered with stock covers, the sub is sitting in the boot in a box, the amp is connected up to the rear of the flip down middle seat and there's the head unit ofcourse, if you still want photos I can take some, but I don't think its anything special in the way of appearance.
  4. I already got the brake light put on, it was a bitch to hunt one down, finally found a wrecker willing to take one out of his boot lid for $80. here are the complete photos
  5. Update Put on a new wing, when the shop took off the lip they told me I had a 6 inch hole leftover I came down to check it out before they did anything else, and found out they were talking about the hole where the boot lid brake actually goes, so I got one of those and put it in aswell. I will get a photo with the brake light in it during day time aswell asap. Basically, here is a photo of the before and after: Before After
  6. wow... and people say TPG is dodgy =P
  7. Through my experiences searching for a good P plate car, you'll find that non turbos are more expensive than the turbo models in a majority of cases simply because of the P plater demand for them. I'd say that's worth $14,000, perhaps lower because, as was already said, modifications tend to lower the value of the car, especially since non turbo's keep their value as they remain these untampered & clean machines.
  8. That would absolutely be a life saver Luke, let me know as soon as you know.
  9. I noticed you were selling the boot lock from an R34, does that mean you have a boot that is just going to waste? Im looking for the Boot Lid Brake Light, or atleast the housing for it as I can arrange my own bulbs. Thanks.

  11. Hey, Any chance you would be able to sell me the boot lid brake light? I know its a little much to ask, but I thought i'd give it a shot. Also, some photos of the entire car would be great, might be interested in order to have spares ready.
  12. Looking for a Nissan Skyline R34 Boot Lid Brake Light, It has to include housing... If it's not working thats no issue either, I can get the lights aslong as I have the housing, so mainly im looking for the housing but if the whole light is working then that will save me middle work. Happy to pay a reasonable price, Thanks
  13. Gimps, thanks for the info about the seller actually being on the forums, i'll give him some messages, maybe he has dealt with some people who have been in my situation and knows what they did. hybrid, I already went to Nissan and they told me it would take a week for them just to get me a price I got the car from an importer, so there's no chance they will have the housing laying around, thanks for the numbers and names, i'll give those two a call
  14. Hey everyone, I got an R34 with a lip on the boot, I always intended to change the spoiler from the lip to the stock 25GTT wing, and I have done so but I now have the hole where the stock boot brake light goes... On ebay there is an LED boot brake light available for sale, but it doesn't include the lamp housing as it assumes your simply replacing your stock with an LED to get a better look, but I have no housing... Does anybody have any ideas on what I can do? I went to a wrecker to see if I could get the whole lamp with housing, but they said it would be a useless pursuit because they would be ruining the boot lid to get the lamp out, so i'd be paying for the whole boot lid... I'm in some real trouble here because the hole allows for rain to enter the boot, I have it masking taped up from the inside for now to keep rain getting in until I get it sorted, but I don't want to rely on that for too long, any ideas or help would be appreciated.
  15. I don't see how it has nothing to do with skill... If you drive for years, that doesn't mean your learning anything from the experience... there has to be skill built by going through that experience, which some people never build, Ive seen many people who have held licenses for years, but im shit scared when im driving with them because obviously in all those years they just haven't needed to respond to anything or haven't learned anything. Also, I don't classify anything thats hot shit on a track, as making someone a good driver. I do have realistic expectations of a good driver, not saying that a drag racer or drifter is a good driver because they have track skill. I've had many situations where I needed to respond, and there have been times where I was at fault aswell as times I was not, but I got out of the situation without a problem, both from my skill in combination (sometimes) with the other driver's own skill. I think that skill is a major part of what makes a good driver, 100% there are P platers that drive better than most full license drivers. Also, on a side note, my personal opinion on what makes someone a good driver, isn't never having an accident or never getting into an incident, but rather being able to handle that situation calmly and responding in a calm and collected way that leaves nobody injured and nothing damaged.
  16. In most cases, a turbo car has its engine built around using the turbo to create its power, so when you take the turbo out, its basically like taking out the heart of the car. That's the results of the research I have done on trying to find a non turbo car for my P's, a non turboed car will be slower than the same model built to be non turbo.
  17. I just wanna comment on that last comment about P platers driving like shit and driving taking many years... Just like with any skills in humans, there are people who are naturals at certain things, and driving is one of those things, not that im saying i drive as skilled as a full license driver (though I know many that scare me on the roads). I like the idea of a advanced driving courses, even if i think the reasoning behind its introduction is to make extra money for the RTA through both paying for the course and charging for a full licensing fee earlier.
  18. shame its not a manual, you'd be rid of it in a flash, i'd even have some guys lined up... shame
  19. This should have been posted elsewhere
  20. Hey guys, I have a silver R34 Sedan and im finding it incredibly hard to find a spoiler for the sedan, but I did find someone selling a black one and im wondering, how much im looking at spending to have it resprayed to match? Does anyone know a place in Sydney, Bexley area that does this? on the other hand, any opinions on if I put the stock black spoiler onto the silver car? Would this look alright? I know carbon fibre is like a grey black and people seem not to care about the colour mismatch
  21. I checked the oil and it was at perfect level and not milky at all, looks exactly like straight out of the bottle, still has that nice golden transparency.
  22. Thanks for the advice Mad and I got the Nulon concentrate that makes up 3 litres
  23. I've got that same sub in my complete Alpine R series set up but im running it all on the one amp crossed over, the amp im using is MRP-F600 which is 1320W max. Hope that info is at all helpful, but im sure that people with a lot more experience will give you more info on a proper mono amp suggestion, just thought the 1320W Max spec would help with an indication of how overpowering is what they did with mine.
  24. Sydney Fast Lane karting is where I spend most of my time for karting, Its outdoors and the cars are powerful enough in my opinion, also they don't care what you do aslong as you aren't ramming into other karts.
