  1. Boot speed isn't even the best part! I just love how with an SSD pretty much everything I do happens at an instant. Open Outlook, BAM! Open a browser, BAM! New tab, BAM! Games load so much faster. Battlefield 3 is a great example. You're into a game within 20 seconds. There is a group of people who knock SSDs cause "why do I care if my machine boots 20 seconds faster?" but that's not telling the whole story. PCs with SSDs just do everything almost instantly. I love my SSDs *cuddle*
  2. Whaaa? You sure that's correct. I've got an HTC Velocity running ICS and the native email program handles multiple email accounts just fine. I have four currently pushing to it. I'd be very surprised if the S3 was much different. My best mate has an S2 and it does multiple accounts fine as well.
  3. Welcome to the beautiful world of SSDs
  4. Yeah. I figure for an extra $20 I may as well. While 5 dead pixels wouldn't bother me in the slightest, I hope the extra money will also reduce the likelihood of bleeding, not that that is likely to bother me a great deal either.
  5. I am and I shall. Tax return has been lodged so barring the ATO deciding to look at it more carefully, I should have my return within a week or so. Ordering a monitor will be the first thing I do once it arrives. I'll be sure to document everything I can and give everyone a full rundown on what I think of it.
  6. Noice. As soon as my tax return hits, I'm ordering a Catleap and going to go grab another 6950 and Crossfire it with my current one. I can't wait to see Beef 3 on 2560x1440 *drool*
  7. Dude, he's not going to be tracking it. The brakes are more than enough for anything it'll cop during everyday driving.
  8. With a rear wing it would look a Supra, without quite as much homo as a Supra.
  9. Looks are important. That said, it's certainly not ugly. And as an aside to that even, Toyota still deserve to sell a billion of these things.
  10. Saw my first one last night, a white one. Looks good but I was, disappointingly, a tad under-whelmed.
  11. I love those things. My best mate had an NF Fairlane as a company car. Such a great car to drive. It wasn't a performance car, but super comfy and enjoyable to drive. It was surprisingly good on fuel, too. It would chug it down if you sunk the wellie, but get on the the highway, set cruise control to 105 and it would only sip. They are damn cheap to buy, too. You can get a BA Fairlane Ghia for ~$10 with ~100k ks on the clock. That's a lot of car for not many pesos.
  12. I got it from a few random forum posts where people who actually owned an E-gas Falcon had posted their experiences. I used to drive a BA ute on LPG for work and it was really, really hard to get the trip meter thingy to report instant usage below 10l/100ks when driving. Even when on a freeway at a steady 100ks it was pretty much always on or over 10l/100. My mates work ute, on the other hand, would report high 7s to mid 8s under the same conditions on ULP. Mine was auto and his was manual which will play a part, but it's still pretty indicative of what one can expect. If you use my "min/max" figures it's 11 vs 8 which is about 35%, so not too far off the mark.
  13. No way in heck would I use a BMW for such a task. Expensive to buy into, more unreliable than a Falcon and difficult/expensive to fix.
  14. OK, but they don't have factory fitted LPG like the Falcon. The V6s aren't really much more economical, even ULP vs ULP. It'd be a Falcon all the way for me, followed by a Commonwhore and then a Camry. As Warps said, Magnas are getting on now.
  15. Small shitboxes and the buy in to diesel takes many more years to pay off the LPG. You want a big car for long distances.
  16. I'd go a BA or BF if the budget extends. XR6s can be had for only a small premium over the stocko. That said, the firmer suspension might not be what you're after in a mile eater. A G6E would be shit hot for 5 hour trips each way a couple times a week but they aren't cheap. On the highway a ULP Falc will do ~7.5l/100k (let's say 8 to be safe). It has a 68L capacity so you're looking at 850ks+ out of a tank on the highway. Obviously adding some towns and the odd Maccas stop will knock some off this. EDIT: Haven't found LPG economy figures yet. EDIT2: 11-12 on highway for gas with 80L tank so ~650ks to a tank. This'll cost ~$60. ($0.70/litre) 7-8 on highway for ULP with 68L tank so ~850ks to a tank. This'll cost ~$95 ($1.40/litre) LPG ~ $9.23/100ks ULP ~ $11.17/100ks Note ULP is likely to be a bit better around town.
  17. BA Falcon on LPG. On the highway a Falcadore is as efficient, if not more, than a smaller engined car, especially with cruise control. Or even one on ULP. It's going to lumber along at 110kph using 7-8l/100ks. Comfy, reliable, economical, cheap, roomy.
  18. I've got a G110 and it's copped a pounding. It's also t!ts for WoW if that's your thing. The G keys = ezymode.
  19. I'd go the Sandisk and save some cash. The Corsair's get a good wrap, too.
  20. Ummm, no. The difference between say 200Mb/sec and 300Mb/sec (the difference between a single SSD sand 2x SSDs in a RAID0) is irrelevant to gaming/home user. In a server, yeah, great, but for gaming/browsing/photoshopping etc there would be no discernible difference in performance. There's evidence out there, Whirlpool is a great source.
  21. Why? SSDs are so fast that they will simply be bottlenecked somewhere else in your system. People have tried it and found absolutely no increase in performance on a gaming/home rig. RAIDing SSDs is simply futile.
  22. What's wrong with sourcing one from the US? You'll have it in under ten days and it'll cost you about $55 in total.
  23. I'd go Sandy Vagina over Ivy too but i5 2500k > i7 2600k for gaming. The 2500k is the choice for SB gamers. Hyper threading is useless and i5s overclock way better. PSU seems way overkill. It's even overkill for 2 x 670s should you add another down the track. I'd go an Antec High Current Gamer 750w and save $130. Aside from that, the build looks good. With the money saved on the PSU you could consider a Corsair H100 water cooler. Just got to make sure your case has 2x120mm fans side by side.
  24. Have you tried Google. I'd say probably not cause I just Googled "titanium o2 sensor bung" and lo and behold found what you're looking for within about 15-20 seconds.
  25. The dead pixels wouldn't bother me, all I'll be using it for is Battlefield 3 and web browsing. Backlight imbalance and colour bleeding wouldn't be much of an issue unless they were bad. I wouldn't want to be retouching photos on one, but it seems for what I want it for, even worst case wouldn't really be bad.
