  1. Take it off and go for a drive mate, you will feel how much more freely the motor revs and less throttle required to make it move...
  2. So can the other 32 GTR OWNERS comment on whether their clutch fan is noisy? I will explain mine again.... *Start car, idling, no fan noise. *Bring revs up to 2000 or more and hold revs there, CAR IS COLD, bonnet is open - fan sounds like a hair dryir on steroids and does not disengage like other cars ive heard regardless of revs I actually put the hub assembly in the oven the other day and it was easier to spin when hot, shouldnt it be easy to spin when cold as when its cold isnt that when it should be disengaged???
  3. Have been wondering about this myself...I bought some 750cc Siemens which are as they call them a 'pencil spray' pattern...however, they are noted as having a cone spray pattern of 15 degrees which is not exactly pencil...
  4. Had my car (32 GTR) brought down from Brisbane a month ago....and yep, there was damage to it that wasnt noted....the passenger side tail light surround had come away from the backing, there was also a few scratches on it that weren't noted... My main issue was the tail light surround as it was obvious and wasnt noted on the pre delivery report...the douche bag at the Adelaide depot talked some sh1t and basically dismissed me.... I have today got a response from VIP/CEVA saying they will give me $50 to repair the tail light as a 'good will gesture'....
  5. I bought one of their Carbon N1 Boot lips mate for my Grey 32 GTR...looks good on the grey, doesnt stand out too much, in some light you cant even see the Carbon finish and it almost looks painted. Pretty sure the guy selling the carbon bonnet lips on Ebay is cheaper than JustJap...just a thought.
  6. Something like this would fit quite comfortably - http://cgi.ebay.com.au/TWIN-THERMO-FAN-10-...=item48397a1e38 But doesnt say anything about cfm or anything like that... nismo32gtr, my air con fan is wired to a switch...didnt know it was there when I first got the car and was wondering why the air con sucked ass in traffic!
  7. The AU-El def dont fit, theyre too wide and too tall...not much room at the front there with them power steering lines running so close...I found some fans on Ebay that will fit, think theyre 2 10s but unsure of brand....and therefore reliability or cooling powerzzzzzzz.....
  8. Was forced to refit my fan today...sigh....the hoovers back.....................
  9. Yeah, I should add, my previous ride was quite alot louder aswell after decat!...
  10. Sorry but youre wrong, the factory clutch fan is not controlled by coolant temps, how can it be? Its not electric nor does it have coolant flowing through it...its triggered by Air Temp, Air Temp under the bonnet...so if anything he should be measuring air temps in the bay around the fan area... Im having the same problem as the OP and I have a 32 GTR...the fan always seems to be on, its loud as an EA Falcon Taxi... Tonight I drove it with no clutch fan at all and im sure as hell it felt less held back and no noise...I just had the Air con fan running for SOME airflow...car didnt go over 82c, im going to look at mounting a 16" 3000cfm fan in the factory shroud me thinks...
  11. And you'll probably find 50% + of the users on here run a decat or a gutted cat or similar.... I cant say exactly what gains I made on my last car (ADM S15 with basic boltons, PFC, FMIC, Zorst, Disco Potato etc) but once I took the cat out and fitted my highly illegal decat pipe, the car made more boost (infact I had boost control issues) was noticably more responsive and revved easier. Seat of the pants dyno tells alot and I know it wasnt just a Placebo effect... The 32 GTR I bought recently has some wanky $350 cat on it so im reluctant to pull that out but if it was a stock cat...gtfo of there!
  12. Cheers, good to know but its only the length of the shaft/snout that prevented me from using the RB30 fan and hub assembly...I found some 2nd hand 26 hub assemblies on Ebay for $200+ delivered! No guarantee they'll be any better than mine.
  13. I know but as (I think) was stated above and confirmed by my mechanic, theyre designed to slip after a certain rpm even when hot....theyre not designed to spin with the engine at 8000 rpm....
  14. Ok, what ive discovered so far.... The RB30 hub does not accommodate the 26 fan, the 30 hub is smaller and the bolts do not line up...even if it did fit see below... The RB30 hub assembly has a shorter snout on it meaning the fan sits closer to the motor, as a result, the fan blades foul on the top radiator hose... So, what I need is a hub that has a longer snout on it...would like to see pics of RB20 or 25....might even call Nissan tomorrow and price up a 26 hub...Lol... Any gurus know if its possible for the fan to lock up only once its hot???
  15. Cool, thanks mate, ive just been out and pulled the fan off, metallic strip looks fine but fan is very hard to turn, its not totally siezed but I imagine it should be a lot more free spinning than what it is...thing was seized on the water pump snout real good too!....
  16. Good info, cheers all, cars not overheating, had a new radiator not too long ago, just feels held back and sounds like a blower vac especially on down changes....
  17. Not an issue of justifying proper effective cooling, these are not $100k cars anymore...$400 is $400...if I can get an identical result for $300 then im going with that option, make sense? As with most things NISSAN being interchangable, I am curious to know whether something like an RB30 fan is similar, if so, its probably cheaper new as it doesnt carry the GTR 'lets jack up the price' stigma....
  18. So as above...my 32 GTRs Clutch Fan is always on...not only does it sound sh1t but it feels like the car has an engine brake on all the time...it must be robbing it of power big time! So, im interested to know what people have done to overcome this...a new clutch fan is $400 give or take...are any of the other RB series engine fans interchangable??? I was thinkin of going AU thermos, has anyone fitted these to a 32 GTR??? Results? Throw me some options people. Cheers.
  19. Cheers for the replies fellas, I know it was a pretty vague description and could have been anything... Turns out connection to Power FC wasnt done up too tight...so I pulled it off, sprayed it thoroughly with the contact cleaner, did it back up properly and hasnt missed a beat since...car has been perfect.
  20. Bought these off another forum member but have decided not to proceed with mods I had planned.... Theyre brand new, only opened to have flow report done, have been resealed, comes with O-rings Suit stock RB26 rail. $550 delivered.

  22. Nothing wrong with it as long as you know how to use it....the paste is messy stuff as it requires alot of water to keep it fluid, its absolutely uselss once it dries out and does nothing but goes crusty... I gave the 32 GTR I just bought a going over last wkend... -Washed car -Clay rubbed -2000 wet/dry in various places (to remove medium scratches) anyone can do this with a little practice, just be cautios, its not hard..... -Farecla G6 paste, white compounding pad -3M Swirl Remover, grey egg carton style pad -Finished with Meguiars Synthetic Sealant Ive never really rated Meguiars products over the years but have to say, their Synthetic Sealant V2.0 is by far the best product I have used in a long time, ive tried everything from FireGlaze to AutoGlym Super Resin... For filling - swirl removal - gloss and durability, the Meguiars product sh1ts all over them. Just my opinion, cheers.
  23. Centre Dash trim mate, this is the section with the ashtray, yeah? What suburb are you in? I can come collect this wkend....
