  1. yes it is possible but will set you back quite a bit of $$$ You need to change rear guards, boot, rear bar and more.... not worth it. Besides I like the Sedan lights
  2. Should have known they never get it right.....
  3. Put your cars undercover guys and gals.... Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology New South Wales TOP PRIORITY FOR IMMEDIATE BROADCAST NSW SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING for LARGE HAILSTONES, DAMAGING WIND, VERY HEAVY RAINFALL and FLASH FLOODING For people in the Illawarra, Central Tablelands, Metropolitan and parts of the Central West Slopes, Hunter, South West Slopes and Southern Tablelands (north of the ACT) Forecast Districts. Issued at 2:37 PM Friday, 24 December 2004. Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce large hailstones, damaging winds, very heavy rainfall and flash flooding in the warning area over the next several hours. Major locations within the warning area include Goulburn, Young, Katoomba, Penrith, Mudgee, Orange and Yass. If severe thunderstorms develop in the Greater Metropolitan, a more detailed severe thunderstorm warning will be issued to people in this area. The State Emergency Service advises that people should: * Move your car under cover or away from trees. * Secure or put away loose items around your house, yard and balcony. * Keep clear of fallen power lines. * Keep clear of creeks and storm drains. * Don't walk, ride your bike or drive through flood water. * Unplug computers and appliances. * Avoid using the phone during the storm. * Stay indoors away from windows, and keep children and pets indoors as well. * For emergency help in floods and storms, ring your local SES Unit on 13 2500.
  4. Mate, while your enthusiasm is great, this thread is getting old and covers off alot of information that has been posted on these boards many many times. and this thread is just going in circles, why not check the classifieds for the S13 sale prices... and them check them again in 3 years when you want to buy. Also why not ring an insurance company to find out.... better yet go to www.nissansilvia.com these guys will help you out....
  5. None, Corolla Sportivo they own Skylines :bananaman j/k 34 GTR
  6. not sure, was there when I bought it... I like the gauges in the centre console though....
  7. If your question is which is easier, they are virtually tha same, however, if you after which will respond better with basic mods - exhaust, filter, bleed valve the S15 will respond alot better than a 33 (and 32 for that matter).
  8. Same as Skyline... Get something N/A while your learning. You can't teach road sense, you learn it from day 1 when you get your P's... Sure you hit 17 and you can have a licence, but doesn't mean you have the skills to drive the cars your after... If you do go down the path of getting a Skyline or 180 for a first car, go do some advanced driving courses, know your limits, respect your cars power and don't be a tool on the roads... Check out a couple of threads that are around here at the moment on some very unfortunate incidents that came from stupidity in a performance car...
  9. Don't care how old you are, good to see you didn't lie though.... And to answer your question, IMO yes these laws will affect you unfortunately, they could even be harsher by the time your ready to drive. Also, some advice - don't buy a skyline for your first car, get something smaller, less powerful work your way up to something more powerful. I realise there are a few guys on here that own Skylines for their first cars, this is just my opinion... Enjoy your stay here, but let this thread die. Edit: It is really hard to read what you write in that colour....
  10. :werd: Not the exact words I'd use but totally agree....
  11. Yes you can, you loose out on the torque reading and mercury reading as you mentioned.... Here it is in my 32 GTS-t
  12. School holidays time..... Mate, I think this is a bit of a ridiculous question... It is great that you are enthusiastic about Skylines at the moment, but how about you see what is available in 3-4 years time??? And the way things are going at the moment with laws and regulations it is going to be a lot longer than 2-3 years till you can drive a performance car judging by your age (which is 15 in your profile)....
  13. I have one more thing to add to this... This IS going to seem contradictive as it was a Skyline that is being discussed in this thread but I thought I would put it out there anyway... I sometimes visit another performace site www.nissansilvia.com as I used to own a Silvia before my Skyline and I still like them as a car, so like to keep informed on them. One thing that has come to my attention there is a section called Brags, stories and times. Now I have no problem with people bragging about their track experiences and quarter mile times, however, I don't think it is right to brag about street racing... a couple of examples: http://www.nissansilvia.com/forums/index.p...showtopic=66982 http://www.nissansilvia.com/forums/index.p...showtopic=63204 http://www.nissansilvia.com/forums/index.p...showtopic=68128 To me this kind of forum area promotes street racing, it gives people the oppurtunity to go on there and brag about something they did that was stupid on the roads. As I mentioned above, I realise that this was a Skyline and not a silvia, however, this is a wake up call for everyone who drives Performance vehicles. So if a mod from Nissansilvia reads this I would have the upmost respect for you if either you get rid of this section or it is monitored so that only track/quarter times are posted. This is not going to reduce the road toll I realise this, however, babysteps do make a difference. What do you guys think? PS. I am not saying that the above mentioned forum is bad, in fact it is a great site for Silvia owners, just using it as an example.
  14. This is not meant to be offencive to the guy that was driving but FFS after everything that has happened in the past 1-2months, he should have thought and re-thought what he was about to do. I want everyone who is tempted to drive like a dick in the future to remember this thread, when your at a set of lights and some tool next to you is egging you on, it takes more a man and a better person to ignore them. If your going to drive like a dick and you have no self control and feel the need to prove yourself.... DO IT BY YOURSELF! I getting more sick and tired of hearing that there are passengers in the car when they crash.... so in this instence, my thoughts go out to the female who innocently passed away and the injured man in hospital.... as for the driver, you paid the ultimate price Im sorry to hear that. This may seem harsh to some people ....... I don't care, I have had it.
  15. Stupid, stupid, stupid!!! I was always thinking that it is a bit harsh to ban P platers from high powered cars as there are some good drivers out there who respect their cars... sorry to say, my opinion has changed... I am now all for banning them, sorry if this effects some of the people on this forum. But enough is enough... RIP and may the driver of the car be hit with the full extent of the law.
  16. eXe: They sure do come in R32 GTST... I have one. The differences are fairly minor to the eye - differnt rear lights, extra doors (obviously!) and thats about it... Although if you get down to details the boot is different, rear quarter panels etc. For example if you want to put coupe lights on the back it isn't as simple as just changing them, it is a big job. I have attached a couple of images of mine.... which is for sale incidently :(
  17. Man thats just not smart.... no offence.... As mentioned above, check all your intercooler piping. How is it idleing? Is it popping when on idle?
  18. I am very sorry to hear that, my sincere condolences to both you and your family. I hope the other fu**er recieves the full force of the law, pricks like that don't deserve to live. Again Im very sorry to hear, as hard as it is try to be strong.
  19. Exactly the same thing happened to me about a year ago, Id say it is one of the heat box lines, not easy to get to at all... don't know if that helps at all... and it is a fairly common problem with 32s This may help?? Good luck http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=39448
  20. yeah there are group discounts for Eastern Creek.... There is also Butterfly farm.... smaller track though, mainly for privateers....
