  1. saw the white 35 with black plates driving past the convention ctr this morning.
  2. no - all mine was done late at night and often outside of town (can you imagine getting done at 3am middle of the week...) if we went off the road, the only thing we would hit is perhaps a sheep or cow after going through the fence (I spent my youth in Goulburn). it was always slow running chucking laps...
  3. when you have your kids in the back, you take a pretty negative approach to people putting them at risk... I've done my pennance when it comes to being foolish on the streets. I've learnt my lesson by way of fines and supensions - don't want any more of that thanks.
  4. I've got the appropriate 'safe' environment for you and it's NOT a public street. it is called a racetrack, which the streets we drive on are not. we need a dragstrip in canberra...
  5. agreed - look closely at the images and it is coverd in nicks, gravel rash and scrapes. an easy life??? looks thrashed.
  6. wait - didn't I read that you 'did the tech side' of rotors @ CIT?!?!? and you don't know how they consume fuel - especially in turbo form? if you want economy - get a diesel, or don't depress the right pedal so hard...
  7. good to hear - too many don't respect what they are on, or in for that matter.
  8. I guess this is the point I was thinking of as well. as a former MX racer, I had little experience of a roadbike. same applies to cars, my escort was gutless, but at the same time kept me out of trouble. no new rider or driver can competently deal with the power in a litre + bike or something like a GTR. Yes, we have all had the confidence that we are better than schumacher or gardner, but at the end of the day car and bike craft take time. if it reduces the likelyhood of someone getting into trouble with a big hit of power, then what is wrong with that? the other thing about roads, is that there is more than just one car or bike to contend with.
  9. I have to disagree on the power to weight issue for new road riders - I think it's one of the smarter rules.
  10. yesterday arvo about 5pm - silver R33 GTS-T series 2 on the captains flat road. looked like it had been on a few dirt roads
  11. I'd be looking at the TPS re hunting idle
  12. yesterday arvo about 3:15 Pm white 33 and white 34 following turning off the yass road round-a-bout and exiting heading towards Queanbeyan. heard the 34 give it a hit on boost - sounded pretty good
  13. yesterday about 5pm, Yellow R34 GTT going under the bridge at russell towards the airport. also spotted a red Maclaren mp124C at the lights near the convention centre heading towards the city centre - WOW, very nice! sounded fantastic! my 6yr old son asked if that was going to be my next car, LOL, err only if I will the big lottery.
  14. PM with contact details sent.
  15. forgot to mention, it's not reported stolen, but is listed with DRAGME plate, but apparently that plate is also showing as rego'd to a hilux!?!?!?
  16. yeah - police and towies are a no go for moving it. cops going to head out. looks like it had been doing burnouts as the rear tyres were down to the canvas and the thing smelt hot when i was taking photos. has a yellow leather interior.
  17. strange as it has been through some tough times by the looks. agreed, wouldn't be good for it to be stripped. misses doesn't like the idea of me getting involved with it LOL. might think about the tow to ESP - got a contact no. so I can give a heads up if I get it sent there?
  18. Dumped outside of Queanbeyan. anyone know of the car? I seem to remember the plates from somewhere.
  19. URGENT! R32gtr,gun grey with red front. Suspect stolen and dumped. Had plates DAREME in 2011, none now. I've reported to police, but if anyone owns it contact me (Daniel) on 62382772. I'm worried it will be trashed or stripped.
  20. was certainly the pick of all the cars there (was a lot of porka's too)!
  21. I didn't stop when your's was at inline, but it looked good
  22. that is seriously good for a brand spanker, given tatty second handers go for the $350 region. good on you for deciding to go the new one - would be a great feeling knowing you have perfect one on there
  23. I hesitate to ask, but what sort of $ - hideous I imagine!
  24. would you consider posting boot trims to canberra?
  25. spotted a black R33 GTS-T P plater driving like a dick in Fyshwick on Saturday about lunch time. he booted it around the corner turning onto collie street heading towards the merc dealer. I gave him a ' you are a knob look' as I had was about to jump in the mondeo. it's tools like you that give skyline owners a bad name - I hope you are ashamed (if you're on here...)
