  1. nice - but pointless for the rest of us that weren't on the tour...
  2. Mark yes, pull out the little rectangles (vanes). I also removed the circular vane wheel from mine.
  3. as Sean said, however I've seen 22psi on a cold night - if you are running stock ECU etc then stay safe and stick around 18psi
  4. if you like tinkering with cars, set aside half a day, grab the PDF manual and your new copper washers/ gaskets and tools - then enjoy. (has been documented a number of times and there are things to know about...) otherwise take it to one of the recommended workshops where they will fit (and probably recommend other things as well), then enjoy 1bar without worries. from there is it time to spend on other mods/ equipment great choice on the R34 mate
  5. supertech are not all that well known or used in Australia. they are a reasonable unit from what I aev seen. how do they compare on price to CP's?
  6. Saturday morning all in Qbn Black series 1 R33, tidy (woolies carpark black R33 with carbon bonnet in the country energy carpark (nice looking car ) White R34 GTT in the other section of the Country energy carpark - very neat and tidy this morning, the Silver R32 GTR with N1 kit and TE's heading into QBN from the airport direction, very nice :) pleasing to see so many in my area.
  7. 8:25 really tidy burgundy R33 GTR wearing Advan trispokes turning out of Oaks estate road onto yass road this morning - looked scmick 8:30 White R33 GTR driving past the airport towards QBN
  8. $850 is a good price on it. a single Exceedy will set you back that much and not hold as much power. Paul, looks like you have a buyer with Manny - i'd chase him up if I were you! sucks to lose money on these things eh...
  9. sold cheeply at auction... I'm betting big end bearing why the guy has not taken it to a decent workshop baffles me!?!?
  10. tell the owner to contact Customs and talk to someone about it, as it will head OS. We intercepted 2 containers of stolen parts heading OS recently (yes, I work for Customs). this is a big business
  11. it's the attitude that we show that matters... 'so JDM' comes from F&F (need I say more...)
  12. winner
  13. 1. we are NOT in Sydney - no reson to bring that attitude here anyway. 2. ever heard of repeat business? it is about giving these people a good experience while they are here - we are all 'Car people' afterall. 3. that is the whole problem with this stupid JDM style/ tune BS. The term JDM has been taken out of context, some wanker says in a movie 'dude, that's so JDM' and everyone thinks wow, I want JDM... pretty sad really. JDM is only ever Japanese Domestic Market - PERIOD. whats next - ADM?
  14. now that's not very friendly!?!?! what about he fact visitors to the region ring in additional $$$ and attention? sure, i'm not one for the mega bling/ sex spec either, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't welcome them to an event. I won't be going as its my daughters birthday the following day, but wonder how I would be received with my GTR after reading some of the comments (and I'm local)!?!?! Is this an exclusive little clique then?
  15. I don't like it. started off an interesting build and turned into something of a throwback. honestly, there are so many issues with trying to get that through rego it's not funny! some things are done just for the sake of spending money!?!?! at the end of the day, I'd take the 350,000+ and spend it on an Aston, or GT3, or even restore a real classic. clearly he came into a large sum of money (lotto?) and is like a kid in a lollie shop with a fist full of dollars... wants everything on the shelf. I look at some of the fabrication and wonder how long things will last. there is not even a trans cooler for instance, never mind the proximity of the exhaust to some components?!?! realise most people love it, and a lot of time and $$$ have been put in, but Meh...
  16. not necessarily so, I know of a lot of people that invest a big sum in a car without having a house (crazy to me).
  17. think you need to get a price on the garrett ones locally. as mentioned, you will get stung with duty and GST if your turbos are over $1000, have to lodge a SAC (self assessed clearance), Postal FID (Full import Declaration) or go to a broker - denpending on how they are posted/ shipped. then there are also the tarriff rates to consider. you could pay about $200 - $250 on top.
  18. midnight purple R33 GTR wearing Drift R rims parking near the civic pool - looked nice (needs a wash ) canary yellow R33 GTS-T also parked near the civic pool - liking the colour, but what grill is that?!?
  19. ^ well said. look at the price of a NEW set and the price of the used GT-SS.
  20. I think use if a better indicator than km's travelled - but the seller could BS about boost and useage anyway. If you can't get them inspected or measure the shaft movement and you are totally restricted to km's then stay under 50,000km. Most manufacturers expect 100,000km on normal useage, however thay can fail before this.
  21. How so? In my book, I'd rather put 120+ into a house than a car (no, I don't earn millions, if anyone here does, it won't matter!). I don't need to mention the benefits of purchasing your own home - but more importantly, you are better having somewhere to actually park the car (they are not big enough to sleep in...). The new owner also mentioned he had a house I could have used the advice to buy a house instead of wasting the money on cars many years ago! I don't see why you take issue with it?
  22. LOL, I bougth my first house for less than that - but obviously you won't buy anything outright (that's deposit money...) Great to hear you are enjoying the car, what is it like day to day? bet the auto shift makes it easier to live with in traffic.
  23. payment made - will be earmarked for my GTR
  24. Hi Josh I've PM'd you saying I'll take it and requested your bank details. Can you let me know, mob 0413377742. Cheers Dan
  25. have you seen some of the R32 GTR builds on the boards? totally drool worthy!
