mate i picked up a 30 dollar unit for my old 73 mini brand new form supercheap, dvd player usb and aux in for the i phone. 4 x 40 w that was better than my standard crap. obviously i wouldnt put something costing 30 bucks in my skyline but hey im a twat.

right now i understand! well ive got a spare few bucks so im gonna give it a go, and ill let you know how it goes, my current one has a leak on the gasket so, for the price of the gasket might aswell swap it for this. cheers blokes!

ill be working on the motor Saturday and Sunday, the consult check should only take about 15-30 mins, and dont get them to look at those problems mate, save your self some money. ill talk you through how to do it all its really simple! (no im not a Nissan mechanic but ive been inside more engines than there are mcdonalds in Australia so i should be able to help you out a fair bit!)

how do you check the cam timing? not being funny, genuinely want to know! timing light? remove the timing belt cover?

right, only asked because i had a few engine stalling etc problems when me auto gearbox oil was low. mate im down in hastings at my old felas this weekend, working on mine. if you wanna pop down in it ill hook it up to a diagnostic, so we can check your tps aac timing 02 sensors and all that jazz. just bung me a few jimmys!

where did you get the heater hose from? tps: throttle position sensor, its on your throttle body.

couple of things.... i had very similar problems, not saying you have the same fixes tho! heres what i have done and everything is fine! (for now......) check gearbox oil, the auto box caused me a lot of stalling problems, just because the oil was low! check you r tps voltage, set mine, then had to adjust the aac valve screw, and also the throttle cable screw. check your coil packs, had horrible feeling in the car at about 4 grand, replaced all of mine three where cracked.(this could explain why your boost solenoid was disconnected, to stop the engine going into second stage boost and causing your engine to misfire under full boost) re gap your Sparks to .8mm. or replace if they are fouled. give all that a shot bud, i bought a 30 buck consult cable and plugged it in, it showed me tps voltage was wrong and that my 02 sensor was shagged. silicone tape up your rocker cover breather connector (or replace) mine had split like a bitch and havent been able to find a replacement yet! that should fill up your saturday!

hey man check and tape your coil packs. did you disconnect you solenoid altogether when you install the rb20 act? i have the direct earth mod on my solenoid and im wondering how to set the solenoid up when i install the rb20 act later this week...
