  2. And here's piston comparo for Roy , sorry not rb26 but a rb25 - 87mm piston up beside an rb20det 78.5mm piston hope this might be of some help Cheers Peter
  3. It seems to be ,just the bigend 's are different the rb 20det one even seems a little bigger directly under the little end Cheers Peter
  4. Had this same problem even with spitfire's had to gap em down to .6mm b4 I could get it to work properly Cheers Peter
  5. no rb26 but i got a set of rb25 pistons but I think you will have an issue with gudgen pin height cheers peter

Hi Guys found this intresting, while I have my engine pulled down to compare the rod's between the rb20 and rb26 since I've heard the rb26 rods are good for 650 hp stock what are the rb20 rods good for ????? .I've seen comparisons between the rb25 and 26 rods big differance there but to my surprise not a great deal in the rb20 apart from the big end and length but you decide check the pic's these are just 2 differant views of rods rb20 rod on the bottom and on the left these with the rb20 rod on top these rb26 rod on top side view
  7. Very nice to see carl, good work will be intresting to see how it goes when finished .You made 6rwkw more than me with my old car, had stock bottom end too (60,000k's on it ) b4 I bent it . Doing the same thing to the new car but some things will change I like some of your work and gives me good ideas for mine,Mods are nearly the same but mine's still a couple months of only just started to rebuild the car Mods Are Airas forged pistons + 40thou balanced and blue printed bottom end arp bottom and head stud bolts tomei rod bolts tomei metal head gasket tomei oil restrictors ( I agree with you 2 is better than one no chance's ) Resized rods shot peened and linished N1 oil pump N1 water pump Crank collar Nismo bearings Top end Ported and polished head Hks cams Hks cam gears gtr valve springs 1 mm oversized valves Hks exhaust manifold ( same as your's ) Hks external waste gate (again same as yours) Garrett Gt3040R turbo Sard 550cc injectors Sard fuel pressure regulator Havn't decided on a plenum yet probably go with the plazma man 1 Engine manegment is taken care of by haltec E11 v2 What engine manegment are you using and what size injectors anxiously waiting for your results Cheers Peter

Well, yes I have 3 and a bike and glad to hear its near finished, wish you speed and good luck with it I know your hanging to get it back, I cant wait to have this one finished and its only me gotta do all the work I gather it would be twice as bad waiting for someone else to do it for you Cheers Peter
  9. Its a new one after the CRASH . but ive started the rebuild now Just gonna post up information as i go along ,alot of it will be transfer of parts and how to R& R bits and peices .By the way moanie hav'nt seen much info on how your car is progressing or if its finished yet Cheers Peter

    Well its time to start again after the last one got bent (damn poles) After a few requests on a bit of a pictorial on it ,At long last I've started here's a few pic's on the engine bay all cleaned out getting ready to paint,and of the interior removed .Ill keep updating this as I go along Cheers Peter Here's some b4 I started And after a little work

  14. Hi Guys trying to get a set of replacement rings for arias pistons 78.5 or 20thou oversize rings .Tried the supplier rocket ind and they dont keep them in stock special order and three to four weeks wait , anyone know where i can get a set of rings for these pistons cheers Peter

Hi Bob I agree with the sv650 but I don't think that they will be in your pricing range some of the older zzr600 would be a good buy if you could find them for the price though now is the time for looking . Sprockets are not all that expencive chains are, good ones anyway, my sprockets are still the originals and still in new condition after 10,000 klms i beleive regular checking and lubing of the chain prolongs life of both chain and sprockets,you might fint most of the 600 type bikes you try will all feel a bit racey for you being tall .Best of luck finding one they are fun Cheers Peter
