  1. Sure, it's an AMD Athlon 1800XP+ running Windows XP Professional. It's got all the latest updates from Microsoft installed, and i haven't really noticed any problems on other sites. Latest Direct X drivers as well.
  2. Yes, but it's still not dangerous until you get someone who wants to shoot people with it, or doesn't know how to use it. Yes, a skyline CAN be dangerous, but any car can be dangerous, its just stupid to say a skyline is BUILT to be dangerous. Skylines are built for speed, no doubt about it, but that doesn't make them dangerous till you start USING that power. If you get someone who never drives over say 30km/h in a Ferrari or something (yeah right) that's not very dangerous at all is it? but if that person starts doing 200km/h then it becomes dangerous. it all depends on the driver.
  3. I noticed that some Series II R33 skylines have an extra piece on the front bumper. Attached 2 pics to show what i mean. Just wondering, what's the point to having the front lip? and how come many '96 models have it, and many don't? factory option? Thanks
  4. After accessing this site on another computer i noticed many of the icons, like funkymonkey's R32 picture, were animated. Anyways, they dont do anything on my computer. Am i missing a program or something? and if so what is it and where can i download it. Thanks.
  5. Hmm, i live south side, don't go up to the Belconnen area much, though i've probably seen it around. Will keep an eye out
  6. The_Paladin > Skylines are 'designed to be dangerous'? No offence mate but that has to be the dumbest thing i've heard. The car isn't dangerous until you get someone doing the wrong thing in it. Like i said, there are young people here who probably have more mature attitudes towards driving then some of the older people here. I won't deny there are many young people who do stupid things in their cars, and yes, a Skyline can go faster in a shorter amount of time, but you can still get a Charade to do over 120km/h. And when you lose control of a car at that speed, that can be deadly. My point is that if you can afford the car, you have the right attitudes and you aren't just buying it cause you wanna impress your mates or whatever, then go for it.
  7. looking good funky!
  8. blackdoggette> Im in canberra too, can i ask what series and colour your car is? cause i've prolly seen it on the road. Everytime i see a skyline my head turns to follow Nothing wrong with women behind the wheel of the lines either, or any other performance car.
  9. Yep, certainly is. I got mine off a mate, but he prolly got it off Kazaa. Personally the car in Pic 2 just doesn't do it for me... i just find the body stylings really bland...
  10. Here ya go mate Pic 1 Pic 2 Second ones a bit big...
  11. Sorry people, but ANY car can be dangerous on the roads, to yourself or others. So it's got a turbocharger, BIG DEAL! If you drive the car responsibly it shouldn't matter how much power your car produces (obviosuly within reason). Know your limits, save the stupid stuff for the track. I find it very ironic that the people who base their arguments on 'you're too young' are people who themselves take risks in their car, such as speeding, or dragging other people. Sorry but i doesn't matter how old you are, anyone can be a danger on the roads when they start breaking the laws and doing stupid things, and they can be a danger in any car. Don't drag this down to a simple matter of age, you will find there are younger people with more mature attitudes when it comes to driving then some of the older people on this forum. If you can afford it, go for it.
  12. hahah, it's from Hot4's isn't it? I got the same one on my wall too. =)
  13. there's no comparison. As long as the 33 has been looked after it will operate better than any $15k new car you car to name.
  14. how 'cheap' are we talking? and what do you mean by operate? it all depends on how it was looked after by the previous owner.
  15. ah well, least you still have points left over. Losing your licence would suck.
  16. Whoops, meant GT-R...ah well.
  17. 1. As long as you're a good driver and feel confident with it then yes. 2. Don't know. Try private sales in Australia. Much less risk that way, can inspect the car and take it for a test drive. That's the way i did it. Plus i got a mad price on a '96 model. 3. I don't think there's a single (unmodded) Hyundai that could keep up with a stock R33 GTS-t, correct me if i'm wrong! 4. Isurance. It's the killer. Well, seeings as you're just going for your L's im guessing you're about 15, right? that means you'll be 17-18. Expect insurance (full comprehensive) of over $4000 a year. Steep, but worthwhile if you wanna be insured against theft (or you could get 3rd Party fire and theft long as you aint in Canberra or WA. Damn Canberra! DAMN THEM AND THEIR WIERD LAWS!!! ) 5. Just like any car the price will drop. I'd guess around $20k for one in good condition.
  18. no offence mate, but why speed when it's double demerits? That'd be the one day i would drive BELOW the speed limit
  19. There is this kit for a 34 GT-T. pic 1 Another pic pic 2
  20. oh, sorry bout the Twin Tubo Soarer thing. Someone said turbo 6 Soarer and i assumed they meant single not twin. Ah well, i don't really follow the soarers so i dont know.
  21. yeah, im sorting out the finances to buy a black Series 2. One sexy looking car. Went for my first drive in a Line ever in it. I wasn't driving unfortunately, but i had an ear to ear grin on my face and we were barely doing 60. it must be love
  22. hahaha, i got worse. Someone tried to tell me that an XR-6 with ONLY a racing chip can do 9.9 second quarter miles... no point arguing with 'em. Anyways, wasn't there also a twin turbo Soarer?
  23. Um...whoa! that is ugly! can prolly pull some good power figrues tho.
  24. WHAT_SKYLINE, you might want to research the Skylines before trying to buy one, especially in your area. Firstly, this car IS turbo. The turbo 33 skylines are called GTS-t's. Dont know what GTS stands for, but the t on the end means turbo. if its just a GTS with no t, or even GTS25 then it's not a turbo. Otherwise, this car is mechanically sound as mentioned above, so obviously his engine works fine. As for specs, look up the stock 33 specs, they would be pretty close to what this car is.
  25. Ah, they're a different hand drive to all the other cars you'll find in America. Dunno if you'd need a special permit or what to drive it, but it would be a little odd. And from what i heard they aren't easy to come by in the US, specially not in LHD (left hand drive) form...
