  2. Doctor

    Brant

I might be interested. Let you know soon. ' Doc
  3. Sounds like the turbo is stuffed. To much play in the shaft will cause the screach as the wheels hit the housing. I have a standard RB20 turbo for sale ($325 ono) if you are interested. PM and we will work out something. Doc
  4. Same thing happend to me and is still happening. Tried to get one of the bolts off. The bolt started to beark to peices but the main section that is round is still attached. Ever tried putting on lowered springs with out taking out the suspension? Not very fun at all. I'm going to grind the bolt off. Doc
  5. Please refer to them as baby zillas please people. It will make me feel better. Doc
  6. Yeah sorry I should of been more descriptive. It includes all oil and water lines. You will probably need to lower your compression on your engine before you can run a turbo. Doc
  7. anyone $175 no offers last chance or I'll keep it. Doc
  8. Yeah thats it. No worries mate. Doc
  9. G'day Prank, Just cut out a thin peice of metal in the same shape as the BOV and place where the gasket goes. Thats what I did anyway That will do it. Doc
  10. I replaced it with a turbo off a R34 Gtt. It really hauls ass right up till rev limit and feels like it has heaps more left. The only problem is that you can't really run over 12psi as the zorst wheel will fall off. Once I get some money I will replace the ceramic turbine wheel with a steel one and run it to about 15psi. Not a bad upgrade if you dont want 400hp but want a great improvement over stock. I reckon I could pull low 13's with this turbo. Regards, doc
  11. G'day megs, Only running 8psi at the mo and **** it pulls hard at the top end. Bloody great mod for not a huge price. Can't wait for the front mount and i'll wind it up to about 12psi and i'll see how i go. Pete can't help you I'm afraid. Doc
  12. Done 70,000kms. Never boosted above 11psi. All pipes included. $325 ono
  13. It does not need an adaptor as it comes with the compete pipe which is polished. $175 and its yours. Doc
  14. But so is everything else we put on our cars:D
  15. 1. The stock turbo is a T3 can't give you information on trims etc as I don't know. 2. The stock turbo can safely run below 14psi. 3. The stock boost level is taken from the plenum I beleive as I have a GTS4 i dont have a factory boost guage. If you are running high boost ALWAYS take the boost guage reading from the turbo outlet as the stock intercooler has a couple of psi pressure drop. So the engine could be seeing 14psi but the turbo would be putting out 18psi. 4. I would not go higher than 12psi with the stock cooler as your turbo would be boosting higher than 14psi and therfore the turbo will only last a little while before the exhaust wheel detaches itself. With 12psi you are on the edge of its efficiency range anyway, so anymore would hurt your power as the turbo starts producing alot more heat than usual and the stock cooler has trouble cooling it to an effective heat range. 5. AS there is only a small amount of pressure drop in the 33 cooler, you can safely run about 14psi no more though. Make sure before you wind up the boost you get your mixtures checked and also your fuel pump tested. Regards, Doc
  16. Anyone, open for negotiations
  17. 33 is a bit different to 32.Yours is more electronically assisted. Thanks anyways. Doc
  18. Thanks mick, Just Jap helped me swap the computer over to see if it was that. It wasn't. I will give the diag another go. By the way I am from Sydney. Doc
  19. You could use a temperature switch, so when the intercooler reaches a certain degree it triggers off the the spray or a pressure switch to come on at certain boost would do the trick. You can use some garden nozzle sprayers which are like $2 each and a window washer pump and bottle. Very cheap mod. Doc
  20. anyone? Open for offers
  21. Are you looking at water spray water injection. Both very different. If its water injection I suggest you get a NOS fogger, 3 NOS brass injectors (.25, .30 & .35 for tuning the thing), a decent pump that can pump water at a high pressure, an adjustable pressure swith for low pressure 1-30psi should do it from Honeywell=$50, an incabin switch, wiring and tubing etc. You can even put a bit of alcohol in the water 50% of each normally does the trick(help the water to atomise) Set the water injection to come on about 3-5psi before full boost. This will elliminate any chance of major detonation at high boost by cooling the charge and making the air more dense. MAKE SURE YOU NEVER RUN OUT OF WATER WHILST RUNNING AT HIGH BOOST. If it is intercooler water spray you are better of having the water come on when the car is stationary so the water combats heat soak and also to continue the spray upto about 60kmh so that the air travelling into the core hits the water and cools the cooler. Hope this helps, Doc
  22. Thanks heaps for your help Mick & Nismogirl, I really appreciate it. I'll let you know how I fare. Doc
