  1. Brembos and cooler pending payment, If it falls through i will let you know noone is after a 26 head these days?
  2. I think the 2835 pro s looks great, However price and hard to find.... Also have to change exhast, not that it's a big deal. Am I wrong in thinking the atr43ss -2 is quite similar as the hks 2835 pro s? But at the end of the day with either turbo I'm sure it will still go fair well
  3. he said that the stock manifold above 19psi he has had to put a fair bit more fuel in certain cylinders. pretty sure its a combination of boost and power, he said 320rwkw and 7400 rpm max on a standard rb25 for a street car. I wouldnt think you could run 28psi on a standard motor for too long even if its only 300? just going off what he said,
  4. haha, well you can get an external gate 3076 for $1300, and i have a 321 stainless manifold at home. Will a 38mm wastegate be big enough for this setup? would it let me run 13-14psi with a .82 rear? If so the manifold has a 38mm wastegate flange, can get wastegates cheap.. So the whole setup may be around 1700 with the exhaust done... might be the way to go? it gets so frustrating sometimes haha
  5. Well, i rang my tuner and he said he wouldn't want to put more than 18spi through my motor, He suggested i get an e boost street, and have one set at 12 psi, and one at 18. 18 for short runs, but if i head to the track 12 - 14 for reliability. However the ATR43ss -2 makes 20psi at around 3700, and 18 psi minimum. The chap from hypergear said with 18psi i could expect 270-290rwkw. The turbo will be $1680 shipped, However for this price i can purchase a 3076, which i thought spooled about the same, and made around 300rwkw on 18psi with the .82 rear housing..... However will i need aftermarket oil lines? and i would have to get the exhaust setup for a diffrent flange, suppose its all $$$ but an extra 20-30rwkw, and you can run less than 18psi im fairly sure? The HKS 2835 pro s looks great , and has great resultts, however im not willing to spend that much $$$$ keen to just get my car done and dusted, if possible with some coin left in the bank So now i am even more confused than when i started
  6. sagerx8: regarding this Same turbo, running 10 - 11psi, I made 245rwkw Do you have the ATR43ss2? this is the one i am leaning towards. I also have been buying things and changing my setup, its been going on for too long now The 2835s may be great all around, however this is still a budget build, for the price i have seen these turbos i could nearly have my car finished i just want a nice car to drive on the street, reliable, power when you want it and if it rolls on it will be a plus for around 1500 you can get a turbo, which bolts straight on. all i have left to get is some injectors and a tune, and a few parts to make an intake however i do appreciate all the options, as i want to wait till after Christmas to do it i may, and probably will change my mind a few more times haha.
  7. haha yeah, they are super expensive.... compared to the hyper gear ones, 1500 posted, oil feed, direct bolt on... no stuffing around with exhaust etc, plus cheap to rebuild! i guess response would be nice, and 300rwkw also, but what would the most boost you can run safely with standard motor/manifolds? Will it still roll on if its super responsive? i think it would be nice if it did, petero'nell: what kind of power do you get with the ATR43ss1pu? at what boost? stock motor? Cheers< Chris.
  8. Also Harey, the ss2 does look good If you have a look at the rb25 dyno threads he put the new turbos dyno sheet up there, it looks like a good compromise between the two. What kind of response have you seen between the two? And yeah the Id injectors are supposed to have a very good spray pattern,
  9. Thanks heaps for the replies Well i may as well go for 300rwkw, he has just dynod a turbo that made 325rwkw on 20psi I think, and 200rpm response better than the g3 I'll look into it a bit more... Mick_o, that's good! That's more than my car gets now standard haha, what kind of response do you get with the gtx3071? standard motor? What about inlet manifold? What would be the most pressure you can run with the standard motor/inlet manifold? Think my tuner said he has had to put a fair bit more fuel in certain cylinders with the standard inlet manifold above 19psi. The guy from hypertech dosent use an adj. Exhaust cam gear either so maybe I cam get a little better spool rate there May as well get the id725 cc injectors, more room to grow anyways and apparently really good on fuel. Thanks heaps for the great replies, keep em coming
  10. I planned to put a 3076 on my rb25 with a high mount setup on my car, however it all started to add up price super quick. Have realised i dont want to spend to much more on my car if possible..... Now i am thinking of going one of hypergears turbos, either the ATR43G3 or ATR43ss I would like 300rwkw on the stock manifolds, and would like to use a dual stage for street use of around a bar, or whatever gets 250rwkw. My question is what turbo? the more power (around 300) on lower boost would be more reliable? if so i would be better off to go a ATR43G3? has anyone had any actual experience with these? Would be nice to just be able to bolt it on, same water lines, comes with oil feed and spacer plate. also exhaust bolts straight up to standard for $1480 shipped My supporting mods include Haltech e11v2, bosch 044 and surge tank, full 3" decent clutch etc. Also what injectors? i know 550cc will get you 300rwkw but as it is my daily i want the best fuel economy i can get, my tuner said he tuned an rb25 with simmens 600cc injectors (i think ) and it was getting crap fuel econ. He put in ID 1000ccs and got 2km per litre better economy? 60 litre tank = 120km each tank more! For you guys with around 550s and a 3076 size turbo what economy do you get? or would i be better off spending 1k for ID 725cc injectors and a rail to suit for good fuel economy. Any help much appreciated Cheers, Chris.
