Getting New Walbro Fuel Pump. Wiring Q
Spurdo replied to datfreak's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
crimped bullet connectors work awesome if you do a decent job of it, just make sure they're insulated sufficiently. today i pulled out my walbro which i used cheap shitty connectors with a few years ago, havent caused any problems but since i was putting the bosch in i decided to tidy up the wiring, and came up with this setup, now theres no more cutting required when i change pump. also i've put an extra ground it (just for fun) that goes directly to chassis through the pump cradle, theres a spade terminal connector up top there on the factory cradle so what else could that possibly be for? make sure you run the wires in such a way that they wont foul the float switch as it comes up. -
im curious wat the hell is the point in the car wash feature. during the race, it got dirty everywhere she was a mess, yet when i get out and look at it in the garage its clean as a whistle? so why would anyone use the car wash when it makes no difference whatsoever
-
yeah the variable weather is awesome.. mine started out a fine sunny day then during the night it rained for a while but dried up by morning now i've just woken up and im less than an hour away from finishing but i've got oil light.. anyone else had oil issues late in 24 hour races?
-
im 5.5 hours into the le mans 24 hour b spec race and wow i love the time, night&dark etc this is awesome. but yea polyphony really do need to sort out the issues with the headlights. if u go to bumper cam/cockpit cam you cant see more than about 10 meters ahead, and im sorry but that just doesnt cut it when your doing 400kph+ you need realistic lighting. but thats about the only major gripe i have with this game. im sure its nothing they cant fix with a software update and they've ironed out most the other kinks in the game so far so hopefully this one isnt far off

yeah when i first tried it a month or two ago i think i managed to finish once but missed by about the same as you. at the time i blamed the fact that my tv was a pathetic 26" and i was sitting a half mile away from it so my ability to see things was questionable at the best of times. so the other day i bought a 40" tv for my room and i sit about 3 feet from it lol so seeing things now is not the issue. but alas, has not made a difference in my (in)ability to dominate the seb vettel challenge
-
has anyone managed to win the X2010 via the seb vettel challenge yet? i swear to god i cant even finish the first lap on the first track. yet alone do two laps and get gold doing it?! jesustittyfckingchrist its hard and i've aced almost every other challenge on gold

Awd In R32 Gts-T
Spurdo replied to Plan-FAILURE's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
yes. thats what the name would suggest. i couldnt agree more that its a waste of time and money. very much a "buy a gtr/gts4" scenario as it would be miles cheaper and prevent you from trying to top yourself from the stress of working it out. that said, i have seen it done before here in christchurch. it was for sale a while back. i didnt bother asking how much time and money it took.. didnt want to know. if you mainly use rwd and would only use 4wd once in a blue moon then would it be worth the permanent weight penalty of 100-150kg? -
you need both hands for fapping? what do you do with the other? im curious

indeed, welcome miss. now i hope you realise the commitment you've made upon purchasing a skyline and joining SAU. there are expectations. the only excuse for selling your car we will ever except, is if you upgrade to another skyline, or even another formidable nissan coupe for that matter (350z/370z are very acceptable). just to be clear: if you ever decide to start a family and sell your car for something "more practical" then GTFO. if you should want to buy a house and sell your car for a deposit, then GTFO. if you crash such an immaculate gorgeous looking car, then GTFO. asides from that, enjoy!

Rb25 Gear Box How Much Oil Do They Hold
Spurdo replied to falky929's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
4 litres from dead empty -
VCT is only useful in the midrange, meaning if you have it going from idle it makes your low end suffer. ideally it should be on i think somewhere around 3500rpm and off again somewhere around 5500-5800 like you said. personally i'd just buy a new gts link that can accurately control VCT. my car has an older link in it too and it won't see the light of day until i upgrade. been sitting in the shed almost 18 months now

1tb? fkn hell im sick of hearing about all these awesome internet plans everyone has that we cant get in nz. our isp's give us a pitiful amount of data per month depending on the plan (the biggest are like 40gb) and so help you god if you go over your cap the isp bends you over their knee and spanks your ass raw while their best mate shafts you with excess data charges.

seriously, that seasonal race around nurburgring in the nascar it aint that hard. it only took me 2-3 goes and i found if you try to go hardcore you will inevitably crash and destroy your chances at winning. the thing most people do wrong in any race is they actively try to go as hard as they can at all times. now sometimes for very very short races that may be necessary, but even one lap around the ring isnt short. the best way to tackle it is to stop trying to drive like an insane pro race driver. just chill the fuck out and keep your line smooth, keep your accelerator under control and know your braking points. in essence, try to drive slower and keep it under control. keep doing this and you'll soon become awesome at maintaining control while getting good consistent times. you really do need to walk before you can run.

so when you say you "replaced" the coils, did you use new coils or 2nd hand ones? 2nd hand coils = complete waste of time. even the "newest" 2nd hand coils are all old and somewhat tired now. dont piss around. buy a new set. any brand, they all seem to deliver excellent results.

someone ban this guy already?

yea the stock radiator really is far more capable than most people give it credit for. did you check the thermostat? have you pressure tested the cooling system? eliminate the head gasket? you need to do these things to first determine exactly what is causing the problem otherwise you will waste a lot of money replacing parts that have nothing wrong with them in the first place.
-
check the speedo cable.. something may have hit it and warped it out of shape. you often cant see any obvious damage from the outside but the inner may be munched. theyr not expensive 2nd hand i picked one up for $35 when i did mine

yeah that tarmac stage of the special event in the lambo is fkn ridiculous i think i managed to overtake two cars after many many attempts. how the hell are you supposed to see where your going; yet alone get any sort of racing line flowing.. ohh and circumstances have it that i'm staying with my dad for the next week or so. as shit as that might sound, he does have a rather expensive 1080p projector and one of those hideously large screens that covers an entire wall. at some stage i'll be having a crack at PS3 on that bad boy
-
the ZZII fark yes! 1000kg, 4wd mid engine in a small tight body, 550hp nissan RB26! fast as farrrkkk! whats not to like??!! its a dam shame that car isn't premium
-
my new console of course came with a new controller and wow what a difference it made, i actually have some degree of control over the throttle position now. my other controller came with the console over 3 years ago the day the ps3 was released and it's probably past it's prime. although they've probably made subtle improvements since then too

'02 spirit R type A.. 1053kg

no insurance?? its a pretty big job usually when a non-removable panel gets munched up, often writes the whole car off. howabout some photos so we can get a better idea

make sure you've got aero parts installed (set full rear downforce). i used the stock LSD as i was too lazy to spend the extra time to make the adjustable one work properly and the stock one works pretty awesome anyway. set the gear ratios to an indicated top speed of 270kmh. fully adjustable suspension, set all to default then: front camber -1degrees rear camber -0.5degrees i think the spring rates were 6.0kg/mm Front and 6.5kg/mm Rear but i'm not 100% i'll check tomorrow. other settings on default. that setup worked for me anyway. you will have to find your own groove for that track, its all just getting the braking points down to a fine art, you cant overbrake at all in this race or you will get owned. the trick is to brake later, then maintain part throttle (half-ish) through the corners to keep the steering neutral and the corner speeds will improve big time. my best lap was a 58 something and then frequent 59s so if your pulling constant 59s it should be within your grasp. oh and of course get the car as close as possible to 394bhp. i ran with 392bhp
-
the 394bhp rx-7 10 lap tsukuba seasonal race was good. took me 3 or 4 goes with some fine tuning of the suspension etc to get it right. finally took 1st place coming out of the last corner on the last lap.. took the win by 0.33 seconds.. gota be pleased with that

isn't that just arabs/indians that do that?
