  1. yea, this is what we have been looking at. Alot of the dyno results i have found using this turbo have upgraded cams but they seem to be in the low 4's. I am quite certain i will be throwing in some type b poncams very soon so it will be interesting to see how much extra we can make. From my comparisons, it also seems to maybe be coming on boost a little late for a .82 housing. I will have to look into this further.

  2. Pressure test the inlet system for leaks. We smoke tested it before throwing it on the dyno, no leaks we could find.

Any idea if it likes ignition advance, or has it hit a plateau where more timing doesn't make more power? No clue, i will have to find more out from the tuner regarding this.

How is the fit of manifold to head, and turbo to manifold? Any sharp ledges that will affect flow? It all looks to be pretty god in that department and nothig i could see causing a restriction there.

How is the pipework for both I/C and exhaust? Well designed and made, nice bends, minimum of protruding welds into the air/gas paths to upset flow? All the cooler piping is 3 inch and the only charp bend is a 90 degree silicone joiner coming directly off of the turbo. The exhuast system expands from 2.5 4 bolt flange at the turbo to a 4 inch dump and reduces to 3.5 inch where the cat would be all the way back into a rear muffler.

Spec and condition of cat? No cat

Spec and condition of filter? its a large K&N pod filter, i cant see that posing any restrictions as its 4 inch right up until the turbo intake.

  3. Hi guys,

Ive just finished my single turbo conversion in my r33 gtr and had it tuned a few weeks back. It made 350rwkw on 23.5 psi of boost through a gt3582r. To be completerly honest i was expecting something a little closer to the 400kw region. Ill list out my mods and maybe a few helpful members with experience using these turbos can shed some light.

    -garrett gt3582r t3 with .82 exhuast housing

-4 inch dump into 3.5 inch straight through exhuast system using a straight through magnaflow muffler

-custom made manifold (seems quite strong and well made) no cracks ect

    -tial 44mm gate with screamer

-100mm tube and fit autobahn88 intercooler

-2000cc xpurt injectors with a walbro 460, no fuel reg.

    -adaptronic ecu using map sensor

Is there anything you would look at that could be restricting me?

  4. Hi guys, selling my genuine garrett gt3582r. Its the t3 with the .82 4 bolt rear. Has the 4 inch intake. Has a few thousand km's on it but im throwing something a little bigger in. 5. Hi guys, i have the following for sale:

-bosch 044 in cradle ready to drop into a r33 gtr. Very limited use form a few days (didnt even make it onto the dyno before i decided to go for a bigger fuel set up) this would be good up to about 350rwkw on e85 and 400+ on pump. $150 ono

-r33 gtr mines front pipes (same dimmensions as mines so im oretty sure they are) they have surface rust but that obviosly doesnt effect preformance haha. $100

-80mm rs*r catback exhuast (including high flow 3 inch cat) to suit an r33. $200

-r33 gtr standard intercooler and piping into the engine bay (cooler has a dent on the bottom and a few nicks in the fins) this wont effect preformance. $150

All prices are ono and i am located in sydney. Call or pm. 0404 111 174.

    Thanks!

  6. The knock sensor is very delicate on the 3sgte and there have been many counts of them failing once they take a high reading of knock for your information.

Im obviously aware that it is not an mr2, i am just imputing a real world experience i have gone through with simular symptoms. No need to be rude about it mate... We are all here to help after all.

  7. who runs a gt35r .82 r on a rb 26/30 setup and how does it perform ?? is it a good combo and what power is it capable of

I do, just had it fitted last week on a completely stock engined rb26. im only maiking 350rwkw to keep it safe but planning to do cams and throw in some head studs and make closer to 400. Turbo from my reasearch should get an rb26 into low 400'kw region.

  8. Does australian consumer law help in this case?

It wasn't an auction so I think it would.

If I've learned anything over the past few months while watching my boss fall victim to a huge business scam is that consumers have no rights and department of fair trading is all for show. No one can be made to do anything they do not want to do. I will never get my money back.... Im pretty certain of this. But i will try and drag his name through the mud. In the grand scheme of things, i have lost a lot more than $280 during this build but it bothers me that he insists that they are genuine after being questioned even before purchase.

    Sorry about the rant lol

  9. Unfortunatly the coils were so deceivingly alike to the the oem coils i left him good feedback as they were received from the seller really quickly. I was thinking about contacting head office for nissan australia and asking them how they felt about someone selling counterfit products using their brand. If anyone is going to put a stop to it i would think they would. Im even happy for them to take my coil packs for testing. I will be ringing them tommorow.

  10. As i was in the process of slowly piecing together parts for a few months i happened to buy these about 60 days ago.... Outside of the 45 day payPal dispute resolution service. If the guy turns around and tells me that they are fine, i will do anything i can in my power to make sure no one buys these coils. Its more the principle of the matter than the money at the moment. The fact is that there is a guy on eBay selling Chinese counterfeits to the general public and its not only the skyline guys that will cop it. He's selling genuine fakes for other car makes as well. I have put them side by side with my originals and they are so alike its not funny. Only thing that sets them apart is the sizing of the letters for the model numbers being slightly larger on the fakes.

  11. I purchases some of the above genuine fakes.... We had the car on the dyno a few days ago and they were misfiring at around 250kw. Demanded the guy to send me his number on ebay and he is insisting that they are genuine. I was on the phone with him trying to keep my cool for about 30 minuits and hes not willing to refund my money. He has asked me to send them back to send to the manufacturer for testing. Looks like ive lost $300.... Do not buy these!
