  1. Mild steel will rust out in no time. Why not use stainless, the materials would cost bugger all extra, the main cost is in labour... And then I might actually be interested in buying some.

I custom built my own exhuast system from the 4inch dump pipe back into a 3.5 inch straight through into a magnaflow rear muffler. I chose to go mild steel as in total it would cost me $450 vs $750ish (including the muffler). The price difference i would personally say is not in the labour but the material.

Mild steel will last many years. My first car which was a 1994 toyota supra is still getting around with the same mild steel exhuast and that was almost 8 years ago, i bumped into the owner a few weeks ago.

  2. Asking GCG anything is possibly not the best idea.

You could easily get that power from a 3 inch dump if you are talking about an externally gated setup. I doubt the turbine outlet size is a worry.

Yea, ive gathered that haha. I am externally gated ;) Cant wait for the tune tommorow!

  3. im looking to make close to 400kw on e85 through my rb26. The 4 inch dump fits up perfectly. The cars going in for a tune tommorow and was not sure if i was wasting my time with the turbo i have. I rang GCG turbos to find out about a to4z compressor wheel conversion and they told me not to bother with the 2.5 inch exhuast housing as it just wont make the power but i found it a little hard to beleive as i had a feeling the outlet was the same at the wheel on the 3 inch v-band and the 2.5 4 bolt. This confirms it :)

  4. Hi guys, im installing a walbro 460 e85 fuel pump into my r33 gtr cradle and will require at least half a meter of hose to sit intide the tank. Now im reading up that there is a special kind of submersable fuel hose but im having trouble finding out where i can get some of this on extreemly short notice? Anybody have any experience obtaining this? Im also in sydney if you can point me in the right direction! Thanks guys

  5. Hi guys, i bought a garrett gt3582r as part of a turbo kit for my r33 gtr with the .82 rer housing. The turbo i have comes with the 2.5inch 4 bolt exhuast outlet. I have noticed the gt3582r also comes with the 3 inch v band exhuast outlet. Does this 3 inch vband actually just taper up to 3 inch and offer better performance or is the outlet actually bigger than my turbos outlet?

  6. Hey there electrical techs! Need a bit of a hand with my r33 gtr turbo timer removal.

So my freshly installed adaptronic ecu was not turning off. I thought this was related to the turbo timer so i went about and tried removing it from the car. It is one of those timers that comes with a harness. This was completely removed however a couple if wires are still wired into the factory wires.

Now, if the ignition is turned of and on quickly.... Every second time the power to the ecu goes off. Super confused as to whats happening.

    Any ideas? Thanks
