I'm pretty sure you'd still see it flash, because it was dark enough

I have no idea how this would work, and I would have no idea how to organise it...but has anyone ever thought about a charity cruise??? I didn't think I should put this in the events section, because it's not really me suggesting it.

comparing a stock fto to a stock NA supra the fto would be faster in a drag race and on the track. theres mods for the fto also like the whole intake, extractors and exhaust system and there piggyback computers. heres a picture of a stock white FTO http://www.google.com.au/imgres?imgurl=htt...=1t:429,r:0,s:0 heres a picture of a stock white Supra http://www.google.com.au/imgres?imgurl=htt...tx=77&ty=82 is it just me or does the fto look 10 times better?

Funkymonkey- GTO's are just as much of a Jap Import as the FTO's, as to whether Mitsubishi is still Japanese owned, I think they are....well at least I haven't heard otherwise. Also the Midget, Commodore and the Falcon were gag items. I would rather shoot myself in the foot then drive a Commodore or Falcon....and I think I'd be to tall to fit in a midget. Cowboy- the Supra's really need the turbo to do anything special. N/A Supra VS NA FTO (because they didn't come out with Turbo's, there NA with 150kw power) I'll explain my choice: * Love the stylish curves of the FTO * Technologically advanced for it's day * handles like it's on rails *Amazing turning circle *All auto's were brought out as a tiptronic from 1994 (the first production year of the FTO) *Driver orientated cabin *Large comfy bolsted seats, so it holds you in around corners *lots of hidden comparments/ cheeky little extras (as most Jap cars do) *MIVEC engine so it really makes use of every single drop of power *(fto)2lt 150kw NA Engine in a 1170kg car with a short wheelbase and an option for a semi auto in 1994!!! as opposed to a 3lt 168kw larger car that weighs 1480kg and looks more dated SUPRA's *Dislike the crazy cockpit style of the cabin (I never wanted to be a pilot) *Not a big fan of the dated looking dash/instrument cluster *Na version is a slug *dislike the odd bubble shape of the rear window *It's a true 2+2 with a totally unusable centre seat I have a link to a Utube video that I think you might like (it involves a Toyota Levin GT-Z, Honda Integra Si, Nissan 180SX, Toyota MR2, BMW M3 and a Toyota Supra. http://www.youtube.com/user/BrentTheAussie.../14/iTiXnCFT9cY ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ However don't get me wrong, I love the Supra's but for what they are you don't really get value for money or something REALLY unique, I like being different (hence why I own a Jap car and not a Hyundai Getz) anyway as i said... favorite and im a female im happy with cars that get to 100kmph in under 7.5 seconds, i dont take my car to the track.

hey again, do all skyliness have lsd's? probably wouldent look at putting a bodykit on it, its silver, going to get the outside detailed. would just a K and N panel filter suffice or is their somthing better? has anyone changed the intake setup (b4 the airbox) and kept it looking fairly stock still? looks restrictive(sound and flowwise), any good catback exhaust systems on the market that wont cost me some human bodyparts? so how do the interals differ between the gt-t and the gtv/gt? is there a lower compression ratio in the turbo varient? i imagine the ecu would have to be different, they would be both DOHC, spring rates on the valves? can anyone send me links to any information/spec sheets specifically for the gtv/gt models? o yeah and btw I do know a reasonable amount about cars....... just not Skylines so dont judge me if i ask a question that may SeeM stupid to you guys. thanks in advance:)

Hmm it says that it's a 25GT however is has the HICAS light on the dash, so perhaps it's a GTv, because it's def not a GT-T. Fillup- Windows are already tinted in a very dark tint. I've already had the air box off and had a look what is has in there but it has a paper filter, I've blown it out for now but getting a K&N when I get paid. I have a set of rims in my shed off my BMW however I have to do a little more research as to whether Jap/Euro stud pattern is really interchangeable with no trouble, but the guy from the tyre service said it was.

Thanks for the explanation guys. That might have come in handy over the last 2 days. I drove my car home from Melbourne on Tuesday night, Wednesday morning went to collect the mail and put my foot down (not heaps) without thinking (RWD+Heavy Rain= Spin)and was shocked (I've been driving FWD's now for the last 3 months while waiting for my BMW to be fixed) -

I've only had the car for a couple of days now but I'm liking it lots so far, except the out dated light grey around the shifter, needs more black less grey. Although I'm unsure what the "Snow" setting is? is that like some sort of traction control?? (Haven't been able to find an answer online) -
R34 Gt- Power Steering Bottle?
slinky-minky replied to slinky-minky's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Thanks, Yeah it does look a lot like that, but it doesn't have anything written on it, it's all black with some crappy lid that doesn't have a thread it just pops on and pops off. What you circled is actually what I thought it was. thanks for the help. -
Hi everyone This is probably going to sound dumb but where is the power steering fluid bottle?? I've never had a Skyline before, and I can't find a diagram for the r34 25GT (non turbo) engine bay. There is a plastic bottle on the passenger side that has hot max hot min on there and I am assuming this is the power steering fluid bottle (because it looks like it, smells like it ect) but I don't want to fill it up without being sure.

Lol, I didn't really want a 4 door, not a huge fan of them but I don't mind heaps. Nope not looking for 15 year old boys, and not looking to impress anyone with my car, it's my daily drive. I saw the GTR bage on Ebay and thought I'd pose the question but wasn't super convinced about the idea. I was thinking that it wasn't even worth the $7 for the badge. Chantalle

Hi Everyone Charlotte- Yay nice to meet another female owner, I haven't seen any other female owners so far, but I'm from Bendigo. To everyone who LOLed at the title- Big emphasis on the age and and gender, I figured that would get a few people's attention, so people would comment so I could meet everyone. Specs, Colour & Mods: Specs: I can't find anything online much about the 25GT's pretty much everything I find is on the GT-T or the GTR's. I have the non turbo model because I'm on my green P's otherwise I probably would have gone for a turbo model. Redbook is pretty slack on specs as well, except for telling me that it is 17cms wider then a 1994 BMW 318I. My car is totally stock at the moment, was previously owned by an Asian guy who had it imported, 120,000 KM's. 2.5 Lt engine (it's a 25 GT) Colour: Metallic Silver Interior: Grey Plastic with 2 tone Grey cloth interior Rims: Stockies Trans: Tip Automatic Photos: None at the moment, I'll post some in the next few weeks. Mods: No mods so far (I've only had the car for 1 1/2 days) unles taking it to the car wash counts to remove the layers of grime and dirt (car was very dirty when I brought it, so I used it to get the price down) my car is in desperate need of a detailing, it's had no external love for quite a while but I have a few things planned. I had the car transferred into my name today, and now have slimline plates that are ***088 (my year of birth) FUTURE MODS: I can't do anything to much to it, so all mods will be cosmetic because the cops are pretty bad in Bendigo and already stare at the P plate when I drive past....on the speed limit. * Exterior Detailing, giving it a bit of TLC *Sound System * Hasn't got a rear spoiler at the moment so I'll be getting one of those *Possibly a body kit *Maybe silver dial rings *Thinking about taking the sound matting from under the bonnet as it's a little hacked, and could do with a little more noise * possibly a cannon if I can get away with it *Mags That's about as far as I've got in my thinking as of yet, would like to hear any other suggestions from you guys. -
Hey every1im a 21 yo female who just purchased a r34 gt(im a p plater) for $8,200 with rwc(vic) major service and new timing belt within a year. 6month rego cant find any info on the net about the 'GT's' any links that could benifit me? whats hicas in technical terms.... is it like tcs or yaw controll etc? i figure that if you get a non turbo skyline the internals are the same as the turbo model so its going to be extra reliable....... yeah? cheap mods(more 4 looks) links/ideas??????? thinkin of getting a r34 badge(yes i know u guys wouldknow the diff but 99 percent of people wont and their jaws will be dragging on the ground when they c a 21year old girl driving what they think is a r34 gtr skyline(having 4 doors probably wont help to encourage this assumption) haha thoughts/ideas on what i should do/change would be much appreciated..
