  2. Sorry, it just looks like you have the plumb back adapter on your bov, so I assumed it was plumbed back. Sounds like you've got some good personal touches planned out though which is great to hear. By the sounds of it, the car will be a dedicated streeter, which is personally fine, but can you really justify a built engine for such an application? Surely the 300+ kw it's already putting out is plenty for the street. At the end of the day, it is your car and you can obviously do what you want with it. I will be following this thread and am eager to see your future plans unfold.
  3. Big fan of this car, particularly loving the way that attention has been paid to all facets - not just the engine. Future plans for the car? Any track time for it? Also, you might benefit from putting an add on vent or different front bar on the car, to allow the hot air from the cooler duct to leave the engine bay. Simple addition as shown in image? Also is your bov plumbed back to the intake?
  4. Thanks again for your input elir32 but as above; I don't want more front bars cluttering up space. Your logic goes for your mate as well but the decision is ultimately his call. I do appreciate your help all the same. There are a couple of these bar & lip combos floating around Sydney area so if I do go down this path, I'll keep it local to avoid postage of such a large and fragile part (guessing your mate, like yourself is from SA). Only really considering interstate postage for the lip only. Cheers
  5. Any link for non facebook users? Can you make the page open or something?
  6. bump, still hoping one of these is floating around
  7. ^^ Probably not at this stage. I want to avoid materials that shatter on impact. But cheers for the consideration. Pm sent regarding another CF piece.
  8. ^^ Cheers nick_7g. Have considered this option but already have two front bars lying around - I don't really want a third haha. I'll just be patient and hope a seperate lip appears. Still looking though if anyone has one they would like to sell.
  9. Cheers elir32; Owgasm said in one of his threads his new one was invoiced $12xx so I was avoiding that option, but $920 is more appealing. But after completely obliterating my last one at a track day, I don't really want to put $920 down for the same thing to happen (as much as I do try to avoid coming off, sometimes shit happens ). nick_7g - Have been trying to get sellers to separate their painted lips but no dice. Would buy whole set up if lip was as above i.e. plastic finish. I was avoiding painting examples due to slight scuffs that might occur from tracking (chipped paint isn't the best look) but on straight plastic, it isn't as obvious. Based on your experience, did you have any trouble selling the bar by itself? Or is it best to wait for a lip on its own/someone willing to seperate from front bar? Thanks again for both your inputs
  10. Bump, now considering painted lips (but still oem i.e. not carbon or fibreglass). Still no splits, cracks, fractures, structural damage of any sort.
  11. Yeah I saw that initial post you quoted regarding your friend, but by saying you would purchase from Nissan as a last option suggests you aren't 100% on getting the odo itself as well. Perhaps consider buying a whole cluster (providing adequate lens condition), swapping out the lens, then re selling the whole cluster regardless of gtt, nonspec etc. A bit more work but will give you more options for purchase and will most likely work out cheaper than any other option. Food for thought
  12. Aren't you only after the lens (i.e. clear plastic)? Same lens as far as I know. Could be wrong though - never really seen a non spec
  13. Just posting so I can find this thread again in my records. Cheers
  14. ^^ Ok cheers, pretty lucky for you as genuine articles are reasonably sought after. I wasn't questioning its authenticity or anything so I hope you weren't taking it that way. The purpose of my initial question was because I have been seeing what seems like every second 34R with this style of front bar (including a few at WTAC) and as far as I'm aware, they weren't a factory upgrade. I know the Z-tune bar is commonly copied but I am not sure if the R-tune was or not. So ultimately I was trying to find if they are recreated locally or all genuine from Japan. Thanks for addressing my post though, I appreciate it
  15. Thanks mate, but this isn't particularly helpful. Pretty much just said 'my discontinued front bar is genuine'. Was it a factory upgrade or aftermarket from nismo? If you know that is. Cheers
  16. Surely one of the Z-tune converts has one kicking around
  17. So where does everyone get their R-tune front bars from? I keep seeing more and more pop up, but can't help but think that there cannot be that many genuine articles around. Are they fabricated locally?
