  1. Hey guys, Really pissed, some little bastards smashed my skyline driver's side window trying to flog stuff this morning Saturday in Officeworks Ossie Park carpark about 8.45am. Right next to the entrance for Tim Slakos car performance. I punched one in the head when he jumped back into the passenger side of their get away car and the driver floored it. Turns out that the licence plate numbers don't match the car. Could anyone keep a look out for a dark grey gunmental Holden Commodore sedan 80's model, box shape looks like the old shitty calais. Had a red pin stripe around the car. Reg 1ANW-461 <--- this plate doesn't match but I definitely remember the 1ANW at the start. There was 2 young kids in it, the one I punched was about 5'8 white, skinny, no facial growth, light brown/yellow short to medium hair. Bout 15-17years old was wearing a all yellow jumper with a hood and grey or faded blue jeans. Other guy in the car was closer to 6' black/brown medium hair didn't see much else of him. If I happen to be so lucky that someone on here saw them can you pm me. Now I need to get a complete driver's side window, don't want to claim on insurance cause its like a $600excess. Can anyone recommend me a wrecker where to get ASAP. Thanks in advance.
  2. Tyre/wheel balancing after its been fitted. Last time i got the fronts done i was advised to get a balanced and when i changed the tyres i had to get a balance. THey siad that everytime i bugger around with the wheels i should get a balance. Thanks for the recommendations hope to try them out tomorrow.
  3. Thanks for the replies guys, no not a member but is it ok to say that i recommended from here??
  4. hey man nice deal , if only i could palm off my skyline r33 seriesII i'd be up for it, even with shipping to perth.
  5. Need to get some coil over springs for the rear with 2.25" ID and get them fitted and balanced. Where is a decent place to go for a good price? WA Suspension want to charge me like $300 for the Eibach springs and $100 for fitting. Surely there's got to be a cheaper place around cause i also want to get those pineapple castors in there aswell but $400 bucks is extreme when they quoted me $1150 for new KYB shocks and installation.
  6. Well i've been in the same situation and i can say its the line that sets it off. Its different in different areas though, you can see how they've chopped into that section, they take alot out of the ground to put all the wires and stuff in. Yeah i didn't get off mine at Innaloo and mine was at like 11pm on a Monday night, i bascially stopped right on the line. Oh there was something i tried to fight with, it was that the 2 lights are an indicator at how fast you are driving, they measure the distance between the first and second flash to determine distance. As i stopped right on the line i wasn't going anyway, technically not moving but they said that i triggered the alarm because i was on the line and that is a very late stop, i would have failed my drivers test if i did it etc etc, not going to listen to you the fine stands. But you may get luckier than i was.
  7. Damn passing it off as if it was there own gotta be some ethical media law against that because isn't our 6.30pm current affairs programs supposed to deal with our local issues? Hey how about we go to Current Affair and complain about the story on there and how defaming and biased it is against us. That should go down real well.
  8. There was about 3 guys that swapped spots with their (rather large) gfs that looked hell out of place in the seat. But the RX3 that busted had this large white PERFOMAZ (can't spell) sticker on the back windshield, looks hell familiar around here pretty sure i've seen it here in perth.

  10. Yup it was WA cause they said that the WA police force was undertaking this "sting" and if i'm not wrong, WA cops only have juridiction in WA. My problem with it is the picture that it painted that ANY young person with a performance car partakes in "hoon" activity.
  11. What do we do about those conservative idiots who have every type of crap stuck up there arse who think just cause you drive a car that looks fast or sounds fast automatically think you are a dangerous hoon. Specially alot of old retired farts that think you are speeding when you are driving the limit and they are 20kms under it and think the road is theirs.
  12. no probs, actually hoping to go see him in a few weeks cause i want a permit for the airpod and see what i need to do about getting one when the intercooler goes in. i've got permits for the BOV, exhaust and the aftermarket wheels so cops cant be picky about it.
  13. Police and Channel 7 busted some drag thing in an industrial suburb. over 100 cars involved. Just got the jist and of whats going on but very large operation mounted on the event. BIG POINT. didn't see one not one Japanese Import car in the piece doing any burn outs, donuts, not even on the sidelines. 90% of the cars were holdens, saw some Fords and only 1 Rx3 that was very highlighted cause he got arrested for endangering lives when his donuts came too close to spectators. D**kHead comment of the night with a foooly sik attitude, "Yeah i know this is all dangerous but i'm young man, live hard die hard" Comments on how bad this makes every performance car club look. Didn't see the previous motorbike thing that was mentioned in the forums.
  14. The hand held guns can go up to about 1KM my friend is a detective constable at Leederville station, he's been out on the open road patrol with the outback cops and they ping people on the open road all the time from distance. They have a thing who can ping the guy from the furthest. Fane would've been able to help you last year with the permit thing cause i used to work at a computer store in east perth and the manager of the east perth licensing center used to come in all the time to get parts. Maybe able to still help PM me with your details, ie reg plate so i can make a request if you want to go in there and see him.
  15. Hey Steve how much does it cost for a standard tune at your place? PM me if you don't want to mention in the post. Car seems to running a bit rich, definitely smell petrol fumes coming inside the car. Can see fast residue build up around exhaust after i clean it. Spark plugs probably need to be replace, I was told platinums cost about $25 each. Car has done 106,000kms and i run standard ecu. Thanks
  16. Just keep your confidence, seriously have a root if you can before the test get the tension out of you. I failed my first test cause i lost my temper when the car stalled but i felt i drove so much better when i was pissed off. Go for a drive with a friend or something before aswell and just let them tell you where to go etc ALSO make sure you are uptodate on your parking especially parrallel parking.

    Insurance

Well its either save the money on insurance with one hit and then spend the savings on mods instead of getting reamed.
  18. Hey Roy thanks for the offer, tell me the model number of the springs and its spring rate and let me check it out. Thanks

    Insurance

Well if you are 26 and over you fall into the insurance companies "we love you guys at that age category". I was with famous cars up till last month being 24 i was getting full comp insurance for 2K including mods (upgrade turbo, mags, exhaust, stereo etc) on 20K agreed. My friend exactly the same car with similiar mods but 30 years old he's getting covered for $900 talk about me getting screwed. Now i am with Just cars paying $1300 including the mods. If I had straight standard GTS-T 95 Series II it would only be $1000. SO if you have a standard skyline and are under 25 i recommend Just cars.
  20. Don't get GT Radial Chapiro 45s I got them and regretting the $800 spent. very very poor wet handling. I hear the Falken 451 are the go from alot of performance stores here in Perth even though some of the reply posts about tyres say bad wet handling. Supposedly about $240 a tyre
  21. Much appreciated SK, thanks for all the info in my previous suspension post. Just wonder if I was a bit vague but I actually have coilover shocks, would this information be the same to coilovers instead of normal shocks.?? If so i gonna get new coil springs next week dearly hoping for a solution. THanks.
  22. Be interesting if we could make a doco on this and say that because of a vocal ignorant minority the majority of enthusiats get screwed over. It has to be defamation cause they are generalizing the majority.
