Hey guys I'm looking for a r34 gtt skyline manual coupe. Preferences are, grey/silver/pewter colour, around 80000 kms on the clock, minimal mods, only mods wanted are sound system/exhaust system/nismo bodykit/tasteful rims/anything else tasteful or to pass blueslip if not in nsw. I'm looking to spend between 15-18 grand depending on how clean it is, the mods that have been done to it, the low kms. I'll be interested in other gtts without these mods, main preference is grey colour.

Ah righto then. Umm I had to buy my tools for work because you can't get the tool allowance until you've been working for 3 months, so I got my sidchrome set for home . My crappy bag of tools is at work hah. I understand about the warranty for you now, that sucks!!

hahahahaha i know im a little weird i can always put less aside for a house, ill sort it out, im only 19 so its not heaps important. yeah ill probly do that ay. ill just be patient when it comes to buying and get a bargain. hope the old camry holds out till then

well i wont have much money for mods haha. im a fair tight ass because im saving for a house too. so there wont be any unnessasary purchases hah, i should be able to afford to run it easily, plus a few extra things here and there. but i might idk. i figure ill have fun before i have a morage over my head. ill probly only want it for 2 years. then buy a newer non turbo sorta car.

Ah ok 400 dollars isn't that bad. I'm thinking if I can save up 16000 ish dollars in a year I'll be able to maintain it fairly easily. Yeah I'll definately be servicing it, I work on locomotives. LOVE getting dirty and tinkering. As for getting pulled over all I want is a bov a sound system not to loud, and a sports exhaust not loud a just a clean sorta purrrr. Hah. But I don't intend to be driving reckless on the roads. I don't really min having chin wags to the odd cop every now and then haha I'll just do the right thing and nothing can go wrong (I hope). I work 7-330 so rarely see cops then anyway. A bodyboard is 34 inches long about 15 inches wide. So should be ok. I'll look into that. An evo. Hmm I don't mind them. Haven't looked into them much I'll have a look at prices. I thought they coated a fair bit though. Thanks for the info r34liner sounds awesome usage of the car will be. To and from work 15 min drive, umm just a sporty car that looks good, sounds good, and if I want can put my foot down every now and then, also I want to take it to tracks maybe once a month? And then just need it to get to the surf. So I spose I'd need high performance oil for when I do take it to the track etc.

Matt, Thanks for the info and thought first of all. At the moment with my lifestyle all I need is room for a bodyboard. And maybe a sub aswell. I think a gtt would suit me as it's usually just me and one friend or my girlfriend in my car. Work is a about 14 kms away so I could always bike ride haha Or get a lift maybe, if it were to ever breakdown. How much are coilpacks to buy/ get them replaced?? Dads heaps handy so I could defer to him if need be. But it is a f good thing to think about. I've been considering the non turbo impreza 08 for economy and durability. But I figure I'm young and I don't have a house loan over my head right now so I thibk it's a good time to have fun and muck around. Thanks all for your input. I've never even thought of owning a Holden. My father is an ex mechanic and has told me how bad they are and i don't think I'd be aloud home if I got one haha. But some people like them so good on them. Yeah that's a great idea to test drive them. Probs have to go to Syd to find skyline in a car yard. Never seen one down here in a dealers yard hah. The car would be used to drive me to and from work. I'd drive it fairly tame and on the road I just want a bit of a kick here and there and maybe a few track days here and there. I mainly want the subaru turbod because the rs 08 looks like a bit of a womens car to me. Although I am still looking to buy it anyway. so i posted a update on facebook asking a simple question of what people thought, was a smarter buy, a '00 gtt r34 or a 08 impreza wrx hatch, factoring in price difference to durability and all i got was people telling me to buy a v8 and calling me a pussy and all sorts of words. saying skylines are slow.. there for 'wogs', everyone has one, the usual ignorant babble. just wondering what you guys thought of my question? would the maintanance of an older car cost more then the price difference of a newer car. ill be buying one of them next year around this time, im expecting 16000 for the skyline and around 25000 for the wrx, i like the skyline alot more but scared i will be forever fixing things racking up bills. plus, does anyone else get crusified for liking something other then aussie made? i dont understand why people get up in arms about it? or is it just the illawarra?

why dont you like sidchrome? i just got my tools for your trade money as im an apprentice sparky and bought a massive sidchrome set with 2 chests included (non of it my money though hah). was that a bad choice? picked it all up for 700 bucks usually 1400 but tool companys have special deals for apprentices.
