  1. so all I have to do is go to a wreckers and buy the see-through variety skyline plate? do they have these packaged anywhere (including the required neon) that I can buy off the shelf, or will it be a bit of a DIY job? thanks for your help!
  2. really? nice... so it is the "skyline" section that is of the see-through type indicator plastic material type thingo-ma-boby-ma-jig (beware; i'm getting highly technical here)...? i'm not interested unless it lights up, because i've seen a few of them and they do look very cool and very rice'y.. cost? no idea... what's the going rate?
  3. cool... i'll use this when my bodykit finally arrives. you mention the "skyline" between the lights. do you know where I can get a hold of the "skyline" that actually illuminates? i don't know if this is an extra thing or if it's part of the series 1 skylines? be very interested in getting a hold of one of those...
  4. yeah of course I am on here - I'm a mate of damo's and the guys from rexnet, but do remember - I drive a skyline and have some good taste of forum's, hence why this is my main place to be nah, clutch is still f***ked but I ran low boost on the day so not to stress it out too much.. what an awesome day... merli - awesome pictures man... started off by saying that you didn't think they were great, but they turned out fantastic. i asked if you would do my wedding day, but i don't think my future bride would be happy with getting married in a drifting skyline down Wakefield's straight... and franks - awesome car - i think you heard me say it about 17 thousand times; but the sound of it at full throttle.... wow! if i were a chick, i'd root ya.. definitely have some good idea's of things I would like to do with the car after seeing some work that the other boys in skylines have done to their to get the type of performance... unreal show boys!!!! Giles..
  5. Hey all ! Yesterday was the Rexnet forum's track day, which I tagged along to enjoy the beauty that is racing around Wakefield park. Great day all in all.. A couple of casualties: A 180sx with an electrical fire under the dash EVO6 with a siezed engine 1 blown turbo Other than that a fairly good day.. Everybody had a great time and us Skylines showed the Rex's a thing or two about real racing with rear wheel drive.. A lot of good drifting and fast times. Hat off to Frankie's R34 GTT which proved to be the real monster of the track. Great sound from that exhaust!!! Here are some pictures from the day... Most are of my R33 at stages.. Note the picture with a dirt cloud up the top of the screen, and my car around the bottom corner - caused by one very wide drift - oops http://www.boostn247.com/wakefield/skyline...ne/Skyline1.jpg http://www.boostn247.com/wakefield/skyline...ne/Skyline2.jpg http://www.boostn247.com/wakefield/skyline...ne/Skyline3.jpg http://www.boostn247.com/wakefield/skyline...ne/Skyline4.jpg http://www.boostn247.com/wakefield/skyline...ne/Skyline5.jpg http://www.boostn247.com/wakefield/skyline...ne/Skyline6.jpg http://www.boostn247.com/wakefield/skyline...ne/Skyline7.jpg http://www.boostn247.com/wakefield/skyline...ne/Skyline8.jpg So when's the next Skyline track day?????? BRING IT ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Giles..
  6. hey buddy... i'm defintiely in need of a new clutch, considering i have just completed some engine work and my standard clutch can't handle the extra power; so it's time to spend some MORE bloody money.. i'd be after a new clutch system and a lightweight fly wheel.. how far away are we to this deal, in your opinion? i have a track day coming up, so I would probably need to get it after I completely kill the clutch on the day.. so ASAP would be great.. cheers man.. Giles
  7. G'day... I usually don't get involved in this type of thing too much, but I do feel that my input here would add value. I just recently purchased some goods from someone very similar to yourself off the forum's, and by the end of the deal I felt like a nagging mother. I ordered: FMIC Air Pod Turbo back Exhaust ECU Boost controller All of this totally to around $6,000 in parts, which for me is quite a sizeable sum of money. Probably the most money I have spent on one singular thing, besides a car. I was quoted as receiving the stuff in 10 days. As it turned out, I ended up waiting close to 4 months for all of my parts to arrive. Granted the exhaust was quite difficult to ship, it did not explain how the catalytic convertor that I was instructed to pick up from a garage in Manly was custom made not 1 hour before I arrived when the cat was received supposedly nearly 2 months prior to the day. So after calling up the person in question every few days with them promising to call me back (never a call back), E-mailing and hardly receiving a response by the end of it I felt like an annoying customer. In the reality I was promised goods and a service that was incredibily below pay for ANY industry. All in all, I have heard through the grape vine of the reasons for a lot of these troubles with receiving goods, and so the word is that the person in question received my $6k and spent it on other goods for customers who had been on the backlog longer than myself. So that's when the waiting started. My parts were finally ordered from Japan when more people placed their orders and gave him the money. somewhat like a pyramid scam, from what I hear. All in all, I suggest to anyone thinking about purchasing parts from places like forums need to be extremely careful about who they go through. It comes down to how good your suppliers word is, and if they make promises they cannot deliver then it's imperrative to do something about it. I have learnt from my mistakes and intend on meeting more people and discussing my purchases and who to purchase them through prior to any further transactions I make. Now I am intentionally not mentioning any names in this thread, but if you are curious as to who in the forum's would sell parts and give this type of service and want to stick clear of them, then feel free to pm me.. No worries... Giles...
  8. Has anyone seen Judd around or know of his location? I recently purchased around $6,000 worth of parts for my R33 Skyline from him. He promised delivery in 10 days, and it has been nearly 2 months and I still haven't received the order in full.. His mobile phone has since been disconnected, he is not responding to E-mail and I have left multiple messages on his work telephone with no luck. If anyone can provide any assistance it would be extrememly appreciated. Thanks heaps.. Giles
